If you have been looking for a beautiful Lincoln Continental with low miles then you are
going to love my 2001 rare LePanache Edition with only 70k accident free miles! This Continental has a clean
Autocheck report showing no accidents or problems and it has spent much of it's time here in Florida and it shows,
there is no rust and even the underside is still nice and clean, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. It is
all original and nice and clean and it is a non-smoker's car so it is nice and fresh inside. The exterior looks
wonderful and the LePanache Editon is a beautiful package. It consists of a canvas top, extra chrome all around and
special strips and badges. The all original factory paint has a deep Lincoln shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or
rust. The canvas top has some mildew stains on the top that should clean off but I don't know what cleaner to use and
I don't want to bleach it out. The tires are matching Goodyears with plenty of tread remaining to help give this
Lincoln a smooth and quiet ride. The factory aluminum wheels have some corrosion on them from age. The interior looks
wonderful throughout with no stains, rips or odors and again this is a non-smoker's car. The soft leather seats look
great as does the entire interior with no broken or missing plastic pieces. All the trim looks great and it really
looks as nice as any 2001 car could. All the power options work great including the ice cold air conditioning and 6-
cd and cassette stereo. Look it over good, this is a very attractive car. What a pleasure to drive, again, smooth
and quiet. The peppy V-8 runs smooth as silk and should with only 70k miles and it will deliver 27mpg on the highway.
The brakes are smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles. It has obviously been well
cared for inside and out and once you take it for a spin around the block you are sure to fall in love and with only
70k rust free, accident free miles you are sure to love it for a long, long time. I have the factory books and two
keys with remotes. I have great feedback so you can be sure that this vehicle will be just as nice as I am
stating. Should you need help with shipping call me, if you decide to fly into Ft.Myers to pick it up in person I
will meet you at our local airport right here in town. I know buying a vehicle you haven't driven is a little scary
so I try to make it easy as well as fun!! As with all my vehicles, this one was put through a safety check to be
sure it is safe and road worthy. This includes an oil change and an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, tires,
fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do to make this a good experience for you. I encourge you to call
with any questions @ 239-872-5281. Thanks!

The idea of Lincoln dropping its alphanumeric scheme in favor of real names was welcomed by fans of the marque and even appeared possible after the rousing reception to the Continental concept. Now, rumors suggest that the next of the luxury brand's nameplates to see a possible revival just might be the Aviator. Don't get your hopes up quite yet, though. The Truth About Cars admits that this tip comes from a second-hand source, but the person reports that Lincoln has a project codenamed Aviator as a model based on the Explorer. There's evidence to give the rumor some shaky support, though. Ford already has the trademarks for the name and AV8R. Also, an Explorer-based vehicle in 2019 is included for the brand's predictions in the recent Car Wars forecast. Autoblog reached out to company spokesperson Sam Locricchio, but he would not speculate about future products. The same source claims to The Truth About Cars that the Blue Oval might not replace the Ford Flex or Lincoln MKT when the current generations come to an end. Also, the next-gen Expedition and Navigator could use 10-speed automatics and follow the F-150 to get aluminum bodies, which is also already rumored. Although, all of this should be taken with a big grain of salt until anything more official has arrived. Lincoln spokesperson Stephane Cesareo gave The Truth About Cars no comment on the rumor, but said, "By 2020, we expect to expand the segments that we participate in by adding two new nameplates to the Lincoln brand. We have not provided any indications about the products or their names." Related Video:

Judging by the success that many luxury automakers are currently experiencing in China, it's no surprise that Lincoln plans to take advantage of the situation by peddling its wares across the Pacific. Lincoln will open its first Chinese dealership next year, but potential buyers there won't be mucking through the same alphabet soup of car names found in American showrooms. USA Today reports that Ford's luxury car division could revert back to legacy names (like Continental and Zephyr) in China while keeping the MK_ names here in North America.
In speaking to Ford exec Jim Farley during the LA Auto Show, USA Today says that Lincoln could switch its naming structure as models are refreshed. Farley didn't confirm that the naming revamp would be a China-only decision, but article leaves little hope that American buyers will get to see the return of classic names anytime soon.
Why would Ford rehash old Lincoln names for China only? Buyers there seem to have a better historical associations with the nameplates than in the US. Chinese also still hold Lincoln in high regard, associating the marque with use by prominent government officials.
