This auction is for a "Cherry" 1972 Lincoln Continental. It was purchased 09/20/1971 as a Company Lease Car then sold on 06/20/1973 with 24,319 miles on it. It was kept Garaged the next 39 years while only being driven for ~34,000 miles.
We purchased it at an estate sale on 06/27/2012 with 58452 miles on it, and have driven it approximately 75 miles. It now has 58,532. Everthing is original and in superb condition inside and out, with two small exceptions (both pictured).
Its a non-smoker car with original (clear) title.
It runs great with a 460-4B V8 (5.7L 460 Cu In) and just had a recent tune-up including, but not limited to new belts, hoses, plugs, fuel pump, water pump, thermostat, heater core, valve cover gaskets, battery and four new tires (Toyo).
It comes with a deluxe interior, factory tented windshield, auto climate control, pwr door Locks, cruise control, 6-way pwr front seat, and clock.
The only rust is located on the lower front fender wheel area on the passenger side. The picture taken was with a zoom lens making it appear larger than it is. The interior is original and in great condition, the only exception (pictured) is the small tear on the door closing handle on the drivers side door.
The only mechanical issues we found are as follows:
a) The a/c blows but doesn't get cold, however the heater works fine.
b) The radio does not work.
c) The passenger side window does not go down.
To the best of our knowledge everything else works and/or is in good condition.
Please ask any questions before bidding.

Lincoln drops MKX base price to $38,995
Mon, Jun 22 2015Lincoln is giving the 2016 MKX a major improvement in style and tech, and is introducing the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 as an option for the luxury crossover. While all of those changes are significant, the cost might be just as enticing to get customers checking out the new generation. The base price for 2016 falls to $38,995, after an $895 destination charge on all models, compared to $39,795 for the 2015. At this time, there are three trim levels listed on Lincoln's site, but a Black Label version is supposed to come along later to add a bit more opulence. Above the base Premiere trim, the Select model starts at $42,285, and adds features like LED running lights, folding and heated mirrors, leather seats, and a power hatch. Spending $46,050 brings buyers to the Reserve trim with upgrades including a panoramic sunroof, 20-inch wheels, navigation, adaptive headlights, and heated seats. There are a huge number of individual options available, including full LED headlights and a safety suite of tech. Opting for the 2.7-liter EcoBoost pushes the price of any trim up an extra $2,000, and checking the box for all-wheel drive brings with it an added $2,495. As ever, you can spec one out yourself on the official configurator here.
MKC Concept is the real fresh start for Lincoln [w/poll]
Mon, 14 Jan 2013We were admittedly bullish about the Lincoln MKC Concept when we introduced it to you yesterday, as we were taken aback by how cohesive the C-platform crossover is in the metal. As it turns out, so were you, dear reader. With hundreds of comments booked on our original Deep Dive story, the overwhelming temperature of the Autoblog Commenteriat is one of surprise and delight - quite an accomplishment for a marque that many had written off for dead. The reception here under the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show appears to be no less positive, but we thought you might want a second, closer look afforded by these live photos.
Lincoln remains mum on production MKC drivetrain specifics (we're thinking it will start with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder out of its similarly sized Ford Escape relative, or maybe the midlevel 1.6-liter), but we shouldn't have to wait too long. The showcar is expected to closely mirror the production model (due as early as later this year), so much so that Ford global marketing boss Jim Farley explicitly told the press conference masses, "When you see the MKC, do not think concept." That's good news, as the MKC is pivotal to Lincoln's effort to rebuild awareness and consideration on the back of its MKZ sedan, a model just now going on sale. In fact, with the small crossover segment exploding, the MKC could very well turn out to be more important to the brand than the MKZ.
After seeing these new photos, are you more or less enamored with Lincoln's new concept? Leave a comment after voting in our poll below.
