1967 Lincoln Continental Base 7.6l - Coupe - Barn Find! on 2040-cars
Atlanta, Georgia, United States

I bought this car originally to restore, but I need to sell it to get some other cars finished. It is an extremely straight car, there is no major dents, dings or body damage. The car is basically rust free except some minor surface rust on the paint. It has been stored in a garage for the past 10 years! It is an almost complete car, almost everything is included with the car. There is a few trim pieces that have been misplaced. It was running when it was parked in the garage. The frame is rust free, the floor boards are solid. The rear quarter panels look to be in great condition. All the body panels line up very nicely. The bad, the car will not start, honestly I haven't even tried to start it. I do not have the key, it has been lost. The car was bought on a bill of sale, the original owner misplaced the title and Georgia DMV will not reissue a title on that old of a car unless it was bought originally in Georgia. I have it listed locally, I have the right to pull the auction if it sells locally. Thanks, and Happy Bidding. *** IT has been re-listed due to a no show by the winning bidder. "lexnlinz11" has a history of not showing after winning auctions. I have opened a claim against him and have re-listed the vehicle. I will read all feedback of potential bidders and bidders with negative history will have their bids canceled. Thanks and happy bidding! |

2015 Lincoln Navigator puts on a brave face, offers EcoBoost V6 only
Thu, 23 Jan 2014
Lincoln has finally given its SUV a facelift after seven long years.
Seven years is a long time. For the auto industry, though, seven years is an absolute eternity. Most vehicles receive clean-sheet redesigns within the span of seven years, usually getting a facelift of some sort after year three or four. Not Lincoln.
Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected
Thu, 29 May 2014Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."
Lincoln Aviator to return as a concept in New York
Thu, Mar 15 2018The keen Canadian eyes at Autoguide spotted on Lincoln Canada's Twitter feed that the Lincoln Aviator will be resurrected at the 2018 New York Auto Show in two weeks, albeit in concept car form. Given that today's Continental and Navigator were previewed with thinly veiled concepts, it's therefore safe to assume that we'll eventually see a production Aviator. According to Automotive News back in 2016, Aviator should be a three-row crossover based on the next-generation Explorer. So essentially, it will replace the MKT, which was last seen picking people up at your local airport and essentially nowhere else. This content is hosted by a third party. The original sold from 2002 to 2005 was also based on the Ford Explorer, and although relatively well-received by car reviewing types at the time, it never caught on with the buying public. Its failure is still a bit surprising given the similar SUV fever of that era. The resurrection of the Aviator name also coincides with the return of Continental and the introduction of Nautilus, which replaces the MKX. However, have no fear MK enthusiasts, the MKZ and MKC still live on. You can be in charge of letting people know just exactly which cars those are.
