You are bidding on a 1962 Lincoln Continental 4 door convertible
Mechanically the car has new radiator, water pump, battery, and front tires. The car runs and drives very good with no problems.
The body and chrome are very nice but not show quality but original. The car has minimal rust in passenger rear wheel well and in doors but floors are solid. Car has a good sized dent in passenger side front fender and antenna is broken off for radio but have new one. To be perfect would need paint job and little body work.
The interior needs carpet for floor and door panels, seats reupholstered, and wood grain replaced. Not all functions of power seat work and power locks don't work. The glass is good with no cracks and power windows do work. The car also has a brand new convertible top and all the mechanics of the convertible top work great.

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.
Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
