1948 Lincoln Continental with Title, and Keys. Recently purchased from 2nd owner. Has been garaged since 1963 on jack stands. This car is rust free, and a true survivor. The 1st owner had professionally replaced the original Flathead V12 with a 1950's Cadillac V8 that is currently in the car. The car was running and driving until 1963 when it was parked. This Lincoln is not currently running, as it needs a new battery, and minor work to be a driver again. Included in this package is a Complete ERA Correct Flathead V12 engine, and Transmission. Also included are the Original Fender Skirts, Hub Caps, Extra Chrome, and Receipts. Sometime before 1954 the car was painted over the original paint, with the GM Emerald Green, which is on it now. Paint is in Fair Condition, and Driver Quality. The Fisk Tires were put on the car in June of 1957, receipt included to show purchase. The tires have no cracking and are in good shape. The car has factory power windows, and push button door locks. The body is in straight, original condition with no rust. All chrome is present, all glass is perfect. Drivers side mirror is removed as it was broke, but included. Mon, 09 Jun 2014Back in 2012, Lincoln claimed its comeback bid was finally underway with the new-for-2013 MKZ. But don't you believe them - the renaissance won't actually begin in earnest until the shapely compact crossover seen here reaches showrooms in big numbers. That's because while the four-door MKZ was indeed a proper step toward rebirth, the 2015 MKC is the first wholly conceived vehicle under Lincoln as a standalone brand, a move first announced back in 2012.
That's an important distinction, because Lincoln's newfound emancipation from Ford's design and development processes has given the struggling marque both the corporate wherewithal and the will to develop a more fully formed product. The four-wheeled result seen here is a surprisingly cohesive luxury CUV, one with significantly more aesthetic and dynamic separation from its Ford Escape sibling than the MKZ and its Fusion counterpart. Said another way, after flogging Lincoln's latest for hundreds of miles over canyon roads outside of Santa Barbara, we've come to understand that this is far from a re-grilled Dearborn special with luxury tinsel - it's a bona fide standalone product that readily displays the sort of clear differentiation seen in platform cousins like the Audi Q5 and the Volkswagen Tiguan. It's the real deal.

Easygoing Texan Matthew McConaughey has enjoyed a career renaissance recently with critically acclaimed roles in Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, and the actor has just signed a multi-year deal with Lincoln to become the luxury brand's spokesperson. The first ads starring McConaughey should hit televisions and the internet soon.
McConaughey's campaign has his pitching starting out with the company's pivotal new 2015 Lincoln MKC compact crossover. "Lincoln is an iconic, American brand and I like where they are heading with their transformation," he said in the announcement of the deal. The appears to be really throwing some money into these ads, too. Not only has it hired A-list talent in front of the camera, Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for Drive, is directing the spots.
Of course, this won't be McConaughey's first noteworthy ride in a Lincoln. Back in 2011, he starred in The Lincoln Lawyer, a legal thriller about at attorney would did business out of a 1980s Town Car. The MKC should certainly prove to be a much better driver than that.
