Unique Super Art Car Painted By Eduardo Kobra (700+ Hp 1jz Big Turbo) on 2040-cars

Year:1997 Mileage:25000
Location:

This is a One of a Kind vehicle painted by Eduardo Kobra during 2013 Miami Art Basel in Wynwood. Eduardo Kobra is a world renowned street artist from Brazil with murals all around the world. At the same time that he was painting the car, he was painting two murals in Wynwood on NW 2nd Ave, on 28th street and across from Wood Tavern. The portrait is of Clint Eastwood. The car was professionally sanded, primed, and masked by District body shop and then painted with spray paint and air gun by Kobra and team, then professionally sealed with two gloss clear coats and three matte clear coats by the same body shop.

The car itself is highly modified. The engine was swapped to a 1JZGTE from a Toyota Supra with 25,000 miles. It has Borg Warner turbo, racing suspension, custom exhaust, converted to R154 manual transmission with Spec twin disk racing clutch, and all the best equipment with no expense spared. The list goes on but I would like the videos and pictures to speak for themselves. Interior is in mint condition.

The car is great for the streets @ 18psi on 93 octane pump gas running 500 HP

It is even better on the track  @30psi on C17 race fuel hitting 700+ HP

This car can be easily converted to e85 fuel found at most gas stations. A flex fuel gauge can be installed that will automatically change settings to run a mixture of e85 and 93 octane pump gas. With the conversion the car will make 650 HP @ 32psi driving the streets.

Clean Title in hand ready to be transferred.

Lexus LX to get diesel engine?

Tue, 08 Jul 2014

Australian consumers appear poised to get another diesel-burning luxury SUV in the near future, and word is it's coming from Lexus, of all automakers. Sean Hanley, chief executive of the company's branch in Oz, recently told Aussie website Drive that he's "pretty confident" that the new engine for the LX is getting the green light.
Like in the US, the LX in Australia is currently only offered with a 5.7-liter, gasoline-burning V8. However, sales of the big SUV are presently minuscule Down Under, with Drive reporting just 153 LX570s sold in all of Oz last year. Hanley is negotiating with Japan to get the new diesel in hopes of boosting flagging sales. If his efforts are successful, it would be the first diesel engine offered in a Lexus there. Hanley didn't specify exactly which mill the SUV would get. However, given the LX's close relationship with Toyota Land Cruiser, the diesel 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 already available in the Toyota in markets outside of North America seems like a natural choice.
Don't expect the variant to be hopping across the Pacific, though. Lexus spokesperson Allison Takahashi tells Autoblog she has heard "nothing" about an oil-burning LX coming to the US. That's not a huge surprise, though, because neither Toyota nor Lexus offer any diesels in their lineups today. Also, Lexus has only sold 1,981 LX570s through June, which only placed it ahead of the LFA supercar in the brand's sales. It's probably just not worth certifying the engine for such a low-volume model.

Toyota and Lexus recalling 235,000 hybrid CUVs and sedans over separate issues

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

When it rains, it pours. Toyota has announced a pair of separate but voluntary North America recalls covering approximately 235,000 vehicles built between 2006 and 2011. The larger of the two recalls targets Toyota's hybridized crossovers, the Lexus RX400h and Toyota Highlander Hybrid. 133,000 units, including 2006-2010 Highlander and 2006-2008 RX crossovers are covered in the campaign. The other recall affects 102,000 IS350 sedans, IS350C convertibles and GS350 sedans built between 2006 and 2011.
With the CUVs, the faults in the parallel circuits of the transistors can cause heat damage in the inverter assembly, triggering an abundance of warning lamps and sending the vehicle into limp mode. The Lexus sedans are being recalled due to loose bolts on the variable valve timing controller. Detected by unusual underhood sounds on startup, the issue can cause the engine to stop while driving. The inverter issue is also triggering similar recalls in Japan and Europe.
At the moment, it's unclear if any of these issues have caused any crashes or injuries. Toyota says it plans to notify owners of the recall via snail mail. Additional information for owners can be found on the recall sites for Toyota and Lexus or by calling Toyota's customer service line, at 1-800-331-4331. Lexus: Make Some Noise

Mon, Feb 2 2015

The 2015 NX is a seriously important vehicle for Lexus, as it not only moves the brand into a new segment, but pushes it towards a younger demographic. The Japanese brand's 2015 Super Bowl ad reflected these facts, with an expressive, stylish spot that focused on the aggressive lines of its new crossover. It's not a funny spot (which is kind of the modus operandi for Super Bowl ads), but it gets the turbocharged CUV out in front of the masses. Take a look at our full drive on the all-new NX200t.
