Full dealer maintenance history on MyLexus.com

BFGoodrich 225/50/R16 GForce SS A/R high performance tires are ‘all season’ and have less than 10K miles on them.
Timing chain done at 180K miles.
Recent comprehensive service included a full fluid flush and Lexus 161 point inspection.  Only one issue found:  loose rear bulb.  Fixed.
Easily passed Colorado inspection and emissions tests
No leaks or engine/transmission issues
Amazing 2JZ straight six engine is incredibly smooth and responsive
AC/Heat, power windows, seat heaters, sunroof, controls and displays – all work as they should.
Don’t let the miles deter you, this SC300 runs, stops, shifts, drives, and looks amazing.

Tasteful upgrades include:
Fittipaldi 16” 5-spoke wheels
Carbon fiber interior trim, shifter, and license plate frame
Custom cut great looking all weather floor mats
Double DIN Kenwood DNX570HD head unit (CD, USB, SD, Nav, Bluetooth, etc) with Kenwood KFC speakers
LED lighting on majority of interior and exterior bulbs.
RX300 three spoke steering wheel, airbag still functional, no dash warning lights
K&N filter
Bi-Xenon low/high beams are Morimoto HID H1 with Denso ballasts.
Razo pedals and kick plate
All seat Leather replaced from Leatherseats.com

Known issues:
Interior is a 9 out of 10.  A few small window trim and air vent cracks, otherwise, everything is in great condition – especially the leather.
Exterior is a 7 out of 10.  As expected from a 200K mile car, there are probably a dozen bumps and bruises, but nothing major, or easily seen without looking closely.
Wheels are starting to flake a bit – could use a dip, spray, or refinish.
Dime sized windshield rock chip in the low/center by wipers.  Not noticeable when driving.
Clutch pedal can lightly squeak at times.  Per Lexus tech, nothing to worry about (new clutch was put in at 150K miles)  Shot of WD40 clears it up.
Small exposed holes in trunk where “Lexus” badge was located.  Easy replacement if desired.
LED bulbs create a sporadic ‘fast blink’ turn signal.   Front clear turn lenses aren't a perfect fit but work fine.
Driver side mirror surround edge is chipped/scratched

Car is listed on other sites, I reserve the right to end auction early.  Based on condition, rarity, and comparable sales, I believe the price is fair.  First $6000 takes it.

Buyer info:  You are responsible for pickup and/or shipping, located in 80215.  Half payment due at auction close, half upon receipt of vehicle.   Paypal preferred.   No warranty expressed or implied.  Serious inquires only. Title is in hand and will be sent over-night once full payment is received. I have a perfect Ebay seller and buyer rating, so bid with confidence.

What does a million-mile car really tell us?

Fri, Sep 18 2015

A million miles. Nearly every car brand and motor oil company plays the million-mile marketing racket at some point. The typical recipe is to take a car that experienced a ton of low-stress highway miles, and make it a rolling testament to the long-term qualities of whatever reputation you're trying to prop up. Saab, Lincoln, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chrysler. It's a tired game that I would normally just consider one of the pointless ranking exercises of our time. But the truth is, when it comes to a car's longevity, it's almost always the owner that makes the real difference, not the brand. Like a pitcher at a baseball game, the owner mostly determines the victories and the defeats for his car. Some specific models are the basement dwellers of our time – I'm looking at you, Chrysler car with the 2.7-liter engine! But a lot of cars and trucks hit right around the average that is a powertrain whose longevity is mainly determined by that person who turns the key and hopefully learns that patient art of long-term ownership. The best owners are the ones who deserve the attention. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This Lexus could be written off as another cynical marketing exercise in this business, performed by those who didn't do the real driving in the past and have no plans at all on doing the bulk of the driving in the future. Matt's actually doing a few things that are genuinely cool, though. Letting other auto journalists and enthusiasts drive it along the way and giving Regular Car Reviews a crack at it. Focusing on the rare virtues of the first-generation Lexus, which, to be frank, can out-diesel a diesel. There is a great story to be had with this car. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life. That story is far more vast than a guy who bought a high-mileage car in great overall condition. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life so that it can endure the ages. This Lexus, like all other high-mileage models worthy of our love, has been given one hell of a good maintenance regimen by the prior owners. It was taken care of and primarily maintained at the dealership, where it probably received the best parts and service, thanks in enormous part to owners who were willing to pay that exorbitantly high bill.

Chris Harris flogs the Lexus RC F

Fri, Feb 20 2015

Chris Harris went to the Monticello race track in New York to sample the Lexus RC F, and, to be honest, he had to figure out how to love it on a circuit. Smitten with the luxury coupe's looks and cabin and naturally-aspirated V8 before taking the driver's seat, Harris found that four laps on track exposed its Achilles' heel: mass. Harris quoted the weight of his car at 1,860 kilograms, or 4,092 pounds, which is about one junior varsity athlete beyond the 3,958-pound curb weight of the coupe we drove. The 478 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque couldn't stoke the hustle Harris wanted, removing all the easy friskiness expected from the coveted FR setup, and leading to quick brake fade. He made note of the Lexus' lack of torque compared to the BMW M4, but in truth the RC F is only 15 lb-ft shy of its Munich nemesis. It is, however, at least 400 pounds heavier. On public roads, though, it's a different story. When not being pushed to prove itself in tight spaces, Harris thinks the Lexus is still a "curious blend of things," but a GT whose noise, styling and non-Germanness mean that it "certainly has a place," and might just take time to grow into. 2013 Lexus ES350

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Finally Saying Goodbye To Its Camry Roots
In its equivalent world of breakfast foods, the Lexus ES350 is unquestionably the pancake. While its siblings may offer more interesting textures, flavors and consistencies - a generally more exciting culinary experience - the four-door ES is designed with 'indistinct' as its middle name. Its objective is to please just about every entry-level luxury buyer once it ends up on their plate.
Even after a complete redesign for the 2013 model year, the sixth-generation Lexus ES350 emerges every bit as family-friendly and non-polarizing as its predecessors. It is the everyman's luxury sedan, offering attractive pricing and a satisfying fill of amenities and features with the sweetness of a long warranty and polished customer service to back things up.
