Awesome LX!! Adult owned and garage kept. New Leather front and middle row. New alternator, starter, AC compressor, oil pump and timing cover, upper and lower oil pan gaskets have been done, valve cover gasket, idler pulley, harmonic balancer, fan clutch and added auxiliary electric fan for AC on those crazy hot FL days. Transmission flushed, new Radiator and water pump and thermostat. basically everything that can be changed without pulling the motor has been replaced.... none done due to failure but rather for piece of mind for the future... you win...
3" Old Man Emu suspension lift with 18" XD-Rockstars wrapped with Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x12.50x18 tires..... Jensen DVD in dash and 12" sub/amp and all door speakers have been upgraded. tinted windows,
this is my daily driver and would not hesitate to drive to Seattle tomorrow... if you know these trucks and these bulletproof engines, then you know what i have done is to replace anything that could fail in the next 200k miles now so you don't have to worry about it.....this truck has solid front axles, which I have replaced all bearings and seal kits and added drilled and slotted rotors.... on the rear I have replaced all bearings and all U-joints are new on both drive shafts.
I have kept this truck in my garage and I have only put about 20k miles on her since I purchased it over 2 years ago...

My only reason for letting Lexi go is... Life has changed and now am in need of a diesel truck. My hard work and time spent on this truck is my loss and your gain.

Thanks in advance for looking and good luck bidding.

Toyota's future fuel cell vehicle lineup revealed?

Wed, Aug 26 2015

Being an Olympic sponsor from 2017 through 2024 puts Toyota in the international limelight, and the company is preparing a fleet of efficient, cutting-edge vehicles just in time for the Tokyo games in 2020. At least eight new models could be on the way, according to Automotive News citing Best Car from Japan. Three of those might make use of the hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain developed for the Mirai. While many of these fuel cells are going into Japan-only vehicles, one of them could come here. Reiterating earlier rumors, Automotive News reports a hydrogen-powered Lexus LS is set for 2018. It could be even lighter than the current hybrid model, too. A similar version of the Toyota Crown would launch there in 2019 and possibly an FCEV Estima minivan, too. Beyond fuel cells, Toyota also intends to put the JPN Taxi Concept from the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show into production in time for the games, according to Automotive News. For 2017, the brand's flagship Century is also expected to adopt a hybrid V8 to replace the current V12, as well. Plus, many of its Japanese-market vans are also due for updates. All of this is certainly a massive undertaking to be ready in time, but Tokyo want to use the games as a chance to show the city as an innovative, international destination. Automotive News predicts Toyota could supply thousands of vehicles to haul all of the athletes and dignitaries around. In addition, the Japanese government wants 6,000 fuel cell vehicles on the road and 35 refueling stations up an running for the games. Related Video:

Lexus GS F points its gaping grille at the BMW M5

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

A mere trio of weeks after the latest report in the slow-moving Lexus GS F rumor cycle, we have a brand new batch of spy photos of the BMW M5-fighting sedan. Looking more and more production ready - notice the more finished exhausts compared to our last round of photos - the GS F can be seen poking around what we imagine is Germany.
If the RC and RC F Coupes are any indication, it looks like Lexus will start fitting its high-performance models with a new, single-frame version of the spindle grille while a dual-frame grille will be reserved for lesser trims. Backing up that suspicion is the new single-frame grille found on this prototype, marking the first time the suspected F line styling piece has been seen on a GS F prototype.
The aforementioned staggered quad exhausts look good on the GS' rear end, while a none-too-subtle rear spoiler ups the rear's visual flair. The low-profile rubber and the multi-spoke, black wheels are nice touches that work well with the front fascia features, in addition to the new, camo'd grille and substantial brake cooling ducts.

Lexus apologizes for anti-EV ad, Plug In America calls it 'outdated'

Mon, May 12 2014

Anyone who's spent any time learning about the alternatives to the standard fossil fuel-burning internal combustion engine knows that there are arguments to be made for and against all of the main options. They also know that there is barely any refueling infrastructure for hydrogen fuel cell cars in the US, aside form a handful of H2 stations in California and one in South Carolina. Somehow, though Lexus, recently said there was an "established infrastructure" in 20 states in an online video ad on the company's official site. Another part of that site also made unfair negative comments about battery-powered electric vehicles, saying that it takes too long to charge the cars. Read our original post on the matter here. In the ongoing discussion about how the US moves away from inefficient gas and diesel engines, this was seen as a real muck up of the facts. Upon seeing the videos, pro-electric vehicle group Plug In America released a statement to AutoblogGreen (Lexus is owned by Toyota): Hey, Toyota, the 1990s called. They want their outdated anti-EV attack ad back. Plug-in electric vehicles charge while you're sleeping at home, far more convenient than making a trip to a gas station and coming away smelling like carcinogens. Driving on electricity costs about one fifth what it costs to drive the average gas car and about a third what it costs to drive the most efficient hybrid. An electric drive has smooth, instant acceleration which can't be matched by any gasoline engine. If you don't believe me, just ask anyone driving a Toyota RAV4 EV. The videos were produced by Team One, Lexus' ad agency. Exactly where the information came from and how it made it to the website is unclear, but Lexus spokesman Moe Durand said that Lexus apologizes for offending anyone and has taken the incorrect videos down. The company will review all the materials and alter and adjust the campaign as necessary, he said.
