2009 Lexus LS-460 AWD Luxury Sedan

Presented is a beautiful 2009 Lexus LS460 Luxury Sedan in Obsidian Black over Black leather interior. We are the 2nd owners of this Lexus which has been serviced at Lexus since day one of ownership. MSRP new was nearly 80k! You will find luxury, styling, and above all comfort in this car! Nicely equipped with DVD Navigation, 19-speaker Mark Levinson Premium sound system, multi-disc changer, Backup Camera, Bluetooth technology, hand-free phone, satellite radio, nav traffic, power rear sunshade, power rear trunk lid, comfort seating package including heated & cooled seats, rear heated seats, Xeon headlamps w/ washers, and intuitive parking assist. You will also find a leather trimmed interior, wood steering wheel, smart access with push-button start & stop, electric inside & outside mirrors, power folding mirrors, Lexus homelink, and an impressive 8-speed transmission with a 4.6L V8 that puts down 357HP! Lastly you will find yourself never stranded at home in a snow storm when you could be out cruising around in this car with it's ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE system! I'm sure I am missing something but you are more than welcome to e-mail or call with any questions you may have!

The first owner was a doctor from the Chicagoland area who commuted to the north suburbs daily. The car was serviced at Lexus for each recommended interval and it's last maintenance was the "MAJOR" 90k mile service aside from a recent oil change and tire rotation by our local Lexus dealer last month. Brakes are in good shape, tires are Bridgestone and have an estimated half thread (6/32's) remaining. The car is free of any major dents, dings, or scrapes. The interior is smoker-free and has been routinely detailed. No major visible imperfections lie in the interior...clean carpets, no stains, or odors. No service lights or warning lights appear on the dash. The only attention that could be used in the future could be rear shocks. These are notorious to being replaced shortly after or before 100k. The car to my knowledge appears to be very good condition inside and out and you will not be disappointed! Compare the S-550 Mercedes and you will find more value, comfort, and reliability in the Lexus LS460! I will assist in shipping if need be or the closest surrounding airports are Green Bay (35minutes) / Milwaukee (1hour 20minutes).

Please do not hesitate to call August at 920-242-8417 with any questions you may have!

*I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as I have the vehicle for sale locally*

2018 Lincoln Navigator vs luxury SUV rivals: How it compares on paper

Wed, Nov 8 2017

The all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator is an impressive, luxury-lined beast. However, while its Black Label interior stood out most during our first drive of the new Navigator, it also seemed pretty clear that much of this full-size SUV was superior to the competition in a number of fundamental ways. Its Raptor-sourced 3.5-liter V6 had class-leading power for one, and its third-row seat seemed as spacious and comfortable as its rivals' are cramped and barely usable. To search for your next new vehicle, try Autoblog' s Car Finder. Yet, I wanted to take a closer look at how the Navigator fully compares on paper to its competitors - especially the Cadillac Escalade with which it most directly competes. The below spreadsheet should tell the whole story, but as you can see, there's an awful lot of class-leading green highlighter in the Navigator's column. The cargo volume and third-row legroom numbers are particularly telling, with the latter actually going up to 42.3 inches when you slide the second-row fully forward. Now, a few things to note about the above spreadsheet. The GLS-Class is also available as the GLS 550, which boasts a 4.7-liter V8 that just comes up short to the Navigator with 449 horsepower but has to deal with only 5,578 pounds. Its $94,950 price tag is comparable to the Navigator Black Label. Much of the LX 570's information is also applicable to the Toyota Land Cruiser, which, badge aside, could certainly be considered a member of this segment given its feature content and still-hefty price tag. It has better ground clearance and approach/departure angles than its Lexus sibling, along with an as-indicated lower price. Much of the Escalade's information also applies to the GMC Yukon Denali, while the Infiniti QX80 is applicable to the Nissan Armada. 2016 Lexus GS F is a .22 in a .357 world, and that might not be a bad thing

Tue, Jan 13 2015

In Max Brooks' zombie epic World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, the author envisions an apocalypse where the living dead necessitate a rethinking of societal behavior. One such change, among many, was the replacement of large-caliber, automatic weapons with smaller .22-caliber rounds and semi-automatic firearms that promise better accuracy when battling the undead. We're hoping Lexus used this as its inspiration when finalizing the numbers for its 467-horsepower, 4,000-pound GS F sedan. Lexus may not have brought a knife to a gun fight, but it's fair to say the firepower of its new GS F is lagging behind that of its German rivals. While BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and most recently, Cadillac, are playing with force-induced V8s and power figures that are well north of 550 ponies, Lexus' kiddy table approach belies a significant weight savings against some of its rivals. At just 4,034 pounds, the Lexus is some 350 pounds lighter than the BMW M5 and nearly 400 pounds lighter than the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S 4Matic (that said, the Lexus is only about 100 pounds lighter than the 640-horsepower Cadillac CTS-V). We won't know if this weight advantage is enough for the 2016 GS F to outrun its competitors until we're able to drive it, though. Beyond that, Lexus has fitted the sort of tinsel typical of its high-performance models, with an even more wildly gaped fascia and vertically staggered rear exhausts. Meaty wheels and tires hide under flared wheel arches, while the cabin features far more aggressive sport seats and stylish upholstery. Take a look at our live images of the new GS F, fresh off is debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Why Lexus shies away from plug-in hybrids

Mon, Apr 20 2015

Lexus may have softened its stance a bit from the anti plug-in vehicle ads the Toyota luxury badge ran last year, but at least one executive from the company casts a pretty critical eye towards the concept as a way to cut both emissions and refueling costs. In fact, Lexus doesn't really buy the fact that buyers of plug-in hybrids are really looking to save both gas and the environment, Green Car Reports says, citing an interview at the recent New York Auto Show with Lexus executive Mark Templin. Templin also said hydrogen fuel-cell technology may be a better way to edge towards zero emissions. Templin decried plug-in hybrid technology because it adds weight to vehicles, which contributes to poor emissions figures in the process. He added that plug-in vehicle buyers are motivated more by potential tax credits and solo driving rights in high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes than cutting back on fuel use. Last summer, Lexus ran an supposedly tongue-in-cheek print ad poking fun at how long it takes to charge a plug-in vehicle and how using air conditioning can shorten a car's charging range. Last spring, Lexus had to backpedal from an anti-electric ad it ran that had serious mistakes about hydrogen infrastructure. News Source: Green Car Reports Green Lexus Toyota Hybrid PHEV
