I have owned this car since January 2008. It has been an excellent automobile and it still runs flawlessly. I have driven it over 100,000 and it has received the best of care. I have used solely Mobil one synthetic oil and it gets changed every 6000 miles. I replaced the other fluids such as brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid and coolant every 25,000 miles. Most recently I replaced my second timing belt a couple of months ago along with a new set of 100,000 miles spark plugs, new water pump of course and all fluids again. Six months ago, one of the air shocks gave out. I retrofitted all four wheels with Strut Master conventional shocks and the ride is as good as before, without the well known issues of air suspension.
The interior has also received great care. The leather seats are in incredible condition, considering the age of the car. I personally attended to them at least twice a year with Leather CPR with great results. The back seat look brand new and all the luxury package goodies still work. The seats up front are pristine, and as comfortable as ever. I had the carpet professionally cleaned last week and it looks great. I bought Lexus mats back in 2008 and also installed plastic mats over them. They are still brand new!!
The Yokohama tires are less than two years old and in great condition. The custom wheels are Lexus design and I still have the four original wheels that came with the car. I will include that in the sale of the car.
As I said earlier this car runs so well and still very quiet. The soft closing doors is really cool too! The back door has privacy screens on both windows and both doors and the rear shade is electrically controlled and still works just fine. The cooling and heating seats up front are sinful and I will miss their comfort.
A couple of things to mention: The remote release for the trunk does not work. The motor needs to be replaced. However, the key works just fine to open the trunk the old fashioned way. The paint is in excellent condition all the way around the car, no noticeable dings either. The top of the front bumper is fading a bit. The headlights are a bit scratched and have been polished once already. They may not look very clear but this car lighting at night is the best I have ever seen.
All switches work except for the two switches associated with the previous air ride system which has been disabled when we install the new struts from Strut Masters.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me directly. Jean-Pierre 480-652-1600. Serious inquiries only. This is a great car with lots of miles left in it .

Google self-driving Lexus crashes into a bus
Mon, Feb 29 2016Google's self-driving cars have been in accidents before, but always on the receiving end... at least, until now. The company has filed a California DMV accident report (PDF) confirming that one of its autonomous vehicles (a Lexus RX450h) collided with a bus in Mountain View. The crash happened when the robotic SUV had to go into the center lane to make a right turn around some sand bags – both the vehicle and its test driver incorrectly assumed that a bus approaching from behind would slow or stop to let the car through. The Lexus smacked into the side of the bus at low speed, damaging its front fender, wheel and sensor in the process. This was a minor incident, and we're happy to report that there were no injuries. However, this might be the first instance where one of Google's self-driving cars caused an accident. If so, the Mountain View crew can no longer say it's an innocent dove on the roads -- while this wasn't a glitch, its software made a decision that led to a crash. We've reached out to Google to see if it can elaborate on what happened. No matter what the response, it was always going to be difficult to avoid this kind of incident. Until self-driving cars can anticipate every possible road hazard, there's always a chance that they'll either be confused or make choices with unexpected (and sometimes unfortunate) consequences. However, the hope at this early stage isn't to achieve a flawless track record. Instead, it's to show that self-driving cars can be safer overall than their human-piloted counterparts.Related Video:This article by Jon Fingas originally ran on Engadget, the definitive guide to this connected life. Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards
Tue, 26 Feb 2013A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
US buyers show little interest in big hybrids
Sat, May 10 2014The idea of producing large, luxury-vehicle hybrids is turning into a "what were they thinking?" exercise in futility, USA Today reports. General Motors is discontinuing hybrid versions of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs, while Mercedes-Benz and Toyota's Lexus division are doing the same with their S-Class hybrid and LS hybrid sedans, respectively. The culprit? Big price increases for fuel economy improvements that border on the unimpressive. Granted, the Escalade hybrid gets 31 percent better fuel economy than the standard version, but that still maps out to a combined fuel-efficiency rating of just 21 miles per gallon. That can be seen as a worthwhile increase, if it didn't cost over $8,000 extra. The 2014 Escalade Hybrid, for example, starts at $74,425 while the non-hybrid can be had for $66,295. Meanwhile, the Lexus full-size hybrid costs $6,000 more than the regular version but only gets 1-2 mpg better combined fuel economy. The result of all these high costs? Low sales. Through April, GM sold 82 of its hybrid SUVs and pickups, down from 541 a year earlier. And the LS hybrid sales were in single-digit territory for April. That isn't stopping Lexus from promoting its hybrids as the right solution (with the wrong facts), though. There are still automakers giving big hybrid vehicles a shot, though. Nissan's Infiniti division is selling a hybrid version of its QX60 and says an impressive 10 percent of QX60 buyers choose the hybrid, which costs just $3,000 more. Looks like money talks.
