1998 Lexus Ls400 Base Sedan 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Waterbury, Connecticut, United States
1998 Lexus LS 400. Great condition, only 80,594 miles on it, loaded, luxury Lexus sedan. Clean leather interior, non smoker, power moon roof, Automatic transmission shifts smooth, Star sapphire pearl exterior, tan leather interior. No accidents reported to AutoCheck. 4.0L V8 EFI motor. Great shape for the year. Runs and drives great, accelerates perfectly and shifts appropriately, as well as tracks straight down the road. There are no abnormal mechanical sounds other then a slight bearing noise coming from the drivers side front, however it does not affect the cars handling or performance one bit. It is in great shape considering the year and it still has that luxury Lexus sedan feel when you drive it, the AC blows cold, and the stereo works great. It was a non smoker car, the interior does not have an offensive odor of any kind. Slight fading of paint on the top of the rear bumper, small section maybe 12" in length Comfortable Luxury Lexus quality and dependability, they are hard to find in this great of shape!

Lexus builds final LFA supercar
Mon, 17 Dec 2012Lexus has officially built the very last LFA. The 500th Lexus supercar rolled from the company's Motomachi facility on December 14th wearing all of the goodies of the Nürburgring package and white paint. Toyota's Lexus division started production on the car exactly two years ago on December 15, 2010 and built just one unit per working day. A total of 170 workers were hand-picked to handle parts manufacturing, assembly and painting for the LFA project. While Lexus has made it clear it will produce no more LFA models, lessons gleaned from the vehicle's construction may translate into other future products.
Specifically, Toyota says it may employ its carbon fiber reinforced plastic experience moving forward. As you may recall, the LFA made extensive use of CFRP and carbon fiber, and Lexus even created a special rotary loom to stitch together the supercar's A-pillars. Take a look at the brief press release on the last LFA below.

2016 Lexus RX sharpens up for round four
Thu, Apr 2 2015Go back a couple of decades and no one would have heard of a luxury crossover. Most of the benefits of a luxury sedan and an SUV with few of the drawbacks? Unheard of. Then 1997 rolled around and two vehicles changed the face of the industry forever. One was the Mercedes M-Class. The other was the Lexus RX. And both have seen their successors unveiled at the New York Auto Show this week. The new Mercedes GLE that takes the place of the M-Class, we've already brought you from the floor of the Javitz Center. Now it's time for its Japanese rival. Now entering its fourth generation, the new RX is distinguished from its predecessors with a far more revolutionary design than that which separated the previous three: It's altogether more angular, more recognizable, more... Japanese – from the oversized spindle grille to the sharp taillights and at every pointy point in between. Of course it's not quite as edgy as its kid brother, the NX, but it has to appeal to a more conservative customer base. They'll get to choose once again between the RX 350 with conventional V6 and the RX 450h with its hybrid powertrain, both of which have been upgraded to produce 300 horsepower. The interior has likewise been updates as well, with more space and enhanced equipment. All of which ought to help the RX remain the top seller for Toyota's luxury division. Related Video:
