2010 Lexus Is-f, Red, Lsd, Mark Levinson, detailed, Dealer Maintained on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
Up for sale is my mint 2010 Lexus IS-F. It's finished in the best color, Matador Mica Red over black leather interior. The car is fully loaded except for park assist. It has been dealer maintained it's entire life and had every oil change done at a Lexus dealer. Absolutely no issues and has been remarkably reliable with zero issues in the time i've owned it. I'm extremely anal retentive and pride myself on keeping my cars very clean. The leather interior is cleaned and conditioned every other week. The car is washed once or twice a week using the two bucket method and a foam gun to ensure no swirls or scratches are put into the paint during cleaning. As you can see from the pictures the paint is gorgeous and looks like a red mirror. It gets a paint correction every 6 months to keep it looking perfect. In the sun it's truly incredible and turns heads. By far the best color for the IS-F (though i'm obviously biased). Car includes 2 sets of floor mats (one brand new) and one original set as well as a ISF sunshade from Sewell Lexus.
With so many 08 and 09 IS-F's on the market at sub 40k prices it's prudent to explain why the 2010 is worth the extra coin for those who haven't researched these cars. The differences for the 2010 IS-F are as follows:
The car is being offered up with a low reserve realistic for a car with these amount of miles and in this condition. If you want a cared for car that will give you no trouble this is the one. It is enthusiast owned and only being sold to move into a GTR. I truly love this car and it's a spectacular all-rounder that can hang with the M3 and C63 without the reliability nightmare and maintenance costs and liability. I work from home so it's not daily driven by only taken out as more of a weekend car. It's garage kept, warmed up fully, and only used in manual mode after the transmission is warmed up to "2 bars". This is not a car that has beaten or abused in any way. Car is available for inspection by 3rd party or PPI. A 1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due via Paypal or wire within 24 hours of the auction close. I reserve the right to end the auction for a local sale. |

Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards
Tue, 26 Feb 2013A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Toyota previews next Lexus RX with Tokyo-bound JDM Harrier
Wed, 13 Nov 2013The Lexus RX shares much with the Toyota Highlander, but its more direct counterpart is the Toyota Harrrier. Never heard of it? That's because Toyota only sells it at home in Japan, and now it's revealed a new one. So if the Harrier is essentially a Toyota-badged version of the RX, then what's the big deal, you ask? The big deal is that the new Harrier which leaked in July, set to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next week and which you see here isn't quite the same as the Lexus, and those differences could (and in most cases likely will) make their way over to the RX as well.
For starters, the styling is different. Granted that the Lexus version will almost certainly get a spindle-shaped grille, but even so, the Harrier's nose seems to protrude further than the RX's and the headlamps are a notably different shape. The greenhouse is also a different shape, coming to a sharper point at the back, and the mirrors are fixed to the A-pillar not to the door panel. The taillamps are revised, the tailgate has a new profile and there's a pseudo-diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper. Subtle changes, to be sure, but then Toyota and Lexus are known for their evolutionary approach to styling. The interior has apparently undergone some updates as well, with a more dynamically styled dashboard, a more symmetrical center stack and different seats, steering wheel, door panels... the works. The infotainment display screen has also moved further down from its position in the current RX.
Toyota will offer the new Harrier with a 2.0-liter four mated to a CVT and driving either the front wheels or all four, and a hybrid setup with a 2.5-liter married to a 140-hp electric motor. The RX is offered here with a 3.5-liter V6 either on its own or with an electric assist. We wouldn't expect Lexus to go swapping the larger engines for the smaller ones, at least not for the US market. There's plenty more to the Harrier, of course, than the similarities and differences to the Lexus RX, and if you're buying a premium crossover in Japan, you can delve into the full details in the press release below, together with the images in the gallery above.
