Up for sale is my 2008 Lexus IS350. I purchased this Lexus Pre-Owned Certified vehicle from Reinhardt Lexus in Montgomery, AL back in March 2013 (all documents available to the buyer, including all service records). The Lexus Pre-Owned Warranty (bumper-to-bumper coverage) runs until March 2016 or 100k miles, whichever occurs first. I am not sure if or how to transfer the warranty, so please check with your local Lexus dealership. The car currently has 43,623 miles (as of 6/18/2013), but the mileage will vary a little because this is my daily driver.

The car is in Excellent condition inside, out, and mechanically. It needs absolutely nothing and is ready to drive. The paint is still very shiny, as are the factory alloy rims (no curb rash), and the leather is soft and supple with no tears or stains. The car has never been smoked in and still smells like a new car. The car is equipped with optional perforated leather seats which are heated and cooled for the driver and front-passenger.

The tires were new when I purchased the car back in March. I have only put between 4k and 5k miles on them since then, so they are still practically new.

With 308HP, this car has excellent pickup as well as agility. The sport suspension will keep you glued to the road while making high speed turns.

KBB Value is $29,000 (Reserve is set for $26,500 - well below KBB Value)

Please contact me if you have any further questions or if you would like to test-drive it.

Thanks and Happy Bidding :)

2013 Lexus LS460 F-Sport AWD

Gary Approved
There's a guy that goes to my gym who can't get enough of the Lexus LS - let's call him Gary. Gary's the guy - you've probably got one at your gym, or coffee shop, or some other public but quasi-social location - who talks to everyone he meets. Sit next to him on the rowing machine or run by him on the track, and he's almost certainly going to bend your ear for a minute or 20. Gary is in his mid-60s, a business owner, and the super-proud owner of a 2013 Lexus LS.
Not being a shy man, Gary will be the first one to tell you that he didn't do much comparative shopping (he "drove by" the BMW dealership, and looked at a 7 Series "on the computer"). Being a satisfied former owner of multiple Lexus RXs, there was probably only a tiny statistical chance that Gary wouldn't end up in an LS when it came time for him to treat himself to the tricked out luxury car that he'd wanted for a long time. Still, when I found myself chatting with Gary about his new LS, right after I had spent a wintry week in the 2013 LS460 F-Sport AWD, I figured that he'd have some light to shed on the car.

Toyota to pay $17.35M federal fine for delayed Lexus RX recall

Tue, 18 Dec 2012

This summer, we brought you news that Lexus was recalling over 150,000 RX and RX hybrid crossovers tied to its massive pedal entrapment issue. An update to that story included word from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it was considering launching a federal investigation into potential delays by the automaker in notifying owners about the problem. Now comes news that parent company Toyota will pay a hefty $17.35 million in fines for delaying its recall of the 2010 Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h. According to The Detroit News, the Japanese automaker is being forced to pay the maximum fine for delaying recalls - and this isn't the first time. In fact, this is the fourth time since 2010 that Toyota has been required to do so, including paying $48.8M in civil penalties in 2010 for failing to recall vehicles in a timely manner - in three separate campaigns.
In addition to the fines, Toyota has agreed to restructure the way it handles quality control and review "safety-related issues." Though the Japanese automaker has not admitted any wrongdoing, Toyota has agreed to meet with NHTSA for six months on the matter and may extend the meetings another six months.
US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says he is counting on Toyota to improve its ability to address such safety issues: "With today's announcement, I expect Toyota to rigorously reinforce its commitment to adhering to the United States safety regulations," he said in a statement.
