I am selling my 2006 LEXUS IS 250 ALL WHEEL DRIVE. The car is under milage with 65,000 miles on it currently. The car is in very nice shape with no major dents or issues. It has an extremely clean interior. Small dent size of a nickel in the drivers side. Small scrape (could be buffed out) in front bumper..no dent. The rims are slightly scraped from the previous owner. The car has not been in any accidents. I have a clear title in hand. This car has treated me well, averaging around 25/mpg around town and about 30/mpg highway. It is extremely reliable and fun to drive! You get a lot of looks going down the road! Soft heated and air conditioned leather seats make it comfortable to drive all year round! The car has paddle shifters if you want have the race feel, however it also has the ability to be fully automatic. The brakes function fine but should be changed. Window tint was professionally installed about 2 years ago to legal Massachusetts limits. The tires have about 20% tread left. I am only selling this car because I just purchased a brand new GMC truck and no longer need a sedan. $500 Non Refundable Deposit due within 24hrs of auction end full payment due upon delivery. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The car is being sold AS-IS. No reserve, priced to sell!

Toyota Hilux gets heart transplant from Lexus IS F
Thu, Sep 10 2015The Toyota Hilux might not be sold in the US, but Toyota's venerable pickup has an international reputation of being able to go anywhere and do just about anything. The trucks aren't really known for their speed, though, at least until Toyota South Africa Motorsport's new, one-off project. This bruiser ditches the usual diesel engine and replaces it with an unrestricted 5.0-liter V8 from a Lexus IS F making 449 horsepower. Of course, it takes more than power to handle the rigors of high speed off-roading. The motorsport team also adds bigger, competition-spec brakes, fully adjustable dampers, new springs, and retuned gearing to make the truck look practically ready for the Dakar Rally. The gearbox is really the only part that carries over. The V8 gives the special Hilux quite a mean growl, too. With the new Tacoma just launching in the US, maybe the engineers at TRD need to apply this same concept over here for its own Lexus-engined, one-off pickup.
2013 Lexus IS F
Mon, 25 Mar 2013Sometimes fortune really smiles on even shiftless car-reviewing Dutchmen like myself, I must admit. I had come into Austin, TX the week before I was supposed to meet up with the good people at Lexus, who had graciously invited me to drive the 2014 IS. I flew in early because Austin is a pretty good place to eat, as well as being a place that my wife doesn't live. Let me say that a nicer way... while my stunningly attractive wife pretty much represents all things good and light in this world, she does occasionally shoot me a sideways glance when I dig in for my fifth Tacodeli breakfast taco. Thankfully, I leave most of my good sense and information about the effects of high-calorie diets on lifespan at home with Molly when I come to Texas, so I can better focus my laser-like attention on car reviews and TexMex. You guys are worth it.
Aside from all the tacos, I was also lucky to be visiting town the weekend before South By Southwest really kicked off in earnest, because it was that Sunday that my good old buddy John, and my new old buddy Pat, were headed up to the Circuit of the Americas to see the first ever SCCA Majors event there. It was lucky that I had planned to be out at CotA, which is east of Austin, because that made it very slightly easier for a very nice woman named Marcia to bring me a 2013 Lexus IS F from Houston, roughly 150 miles away.
Marcia brought me the IS F to replace another press car, which was having mechanical troubles; I didn't ask for the fire-breathing IS but when it was offered up I figured I couldn't do much better as a warm up for the 2014 IS program I was about to go on. See, lucky right?
Lexus ES350 confirmed for Kentucky production starting in 2015
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Following Thursday's report, Toyota has confirmed that production of the Lexus ES will move to its Georgetown, KY assembly plant starting in 2015. To accommodate the extra 50,000 units of capacity that the ES represents, Toyota will be investing $360 million in the plant and hiring 750 new workers.
In the previous report, sources stated that the state of Kentucky had offered Toyota as much as $146.5 million to move ES production to the Georgetown facility.
The press release, posted below, specifies that only the ES350 will be built in Kentucky, so it's likely that the ES300h hybrid will continue to be built in Japan - where all ES models have been built since the car was introduced in 1989. Toyota's Georgetown plant, which currently builds the Toyota Camry, will also be getting an expansion to its engine plant to produce more four-cylinder engines at a cost of $30 million and will create an additional 80 jobs.
