car is  rare Graphite Gray Perl color

Low Miles!

Runs great- no mechanical issues

clean title no accidents or other body work done to the car

I have been living overseas and now relocated overseas permanently. Thus this car needs to find a new home.

Car has been kept in climate controlled storage mostly. I did have someone who took it out and drove it routinely and kept up to date with all servicing.

only premium grade fuel has been used in the car- per Lexus guidelines

only used mobile one oil -per lexus guidelines.

Car is currently registered and has Texas state inspection sticker

please note one of the keys is cracked- though it still functions. I was told by Lexus this is common due to the key's design.

I'm sure there is other stuff in the car that I'm forgetting to list.

Everything has been serviced recently on the car by Lexus dealership.

Lexus also completed a complete inspection of the car. The car passed all test and routine maintenance inspection test.

we went ahead and replaced the battery in the car for your convince.

In addition, to other items (AC, Belts, etc)

I also had the dealership give me a current appraisal for the car-as is.

Please see the attached appraisal sheet.

I was told by Lexus this car is in high demand and is rather popular make and model. Plus the car has low miles for it's age...which I was told increased their appraisal amount. As it's very rare for them to see this year and model with so few miles.

exterior of car

photos of the car were taken the day this listing was posted- and accurately showcase the car's condition

As seen in the photos- the care needs a new rear bumper. The bumper cost less than $400 to buy new...the expense is getting the bumper painted and color matched. I have got a couple of bids to do this....and it's not that costly to do.

Car does have a few small dents and scratches that are to be expected by a car of this age. However, they are all very minor and not really noticeable - unless you knew they were there. I attempted to photo theses- however they would not show up in a photo.

Tries have been replaced recently and are still in good condition.

Rims- would be something someone might want to replace- due to appearance

Interior

Inside of the car has been kept in excellent condition

original lexus floor mats are included with the car

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We have tried our best to list everything here in detail...but I'm sure you might have some additional questions.

this is a used car...so the vehicle is sold "as is" "where is". Manufacturer's warranties may still apply.  No representations or warranties are made by the "Seller", nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by "Bidders""buyer" in making bids or offers to purchase.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges.    Full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.

Sell your own: 2003 Lexus SC 430

Thu, Jun 15 2017

This is part of an occasional look at what's for sale on Autoblog. Looking to sell your car? We make it easy and free. Quickly create listings with up to six photos and reach millions of buyers. Log in and create your free listings. At the Lexus SC 430 preview - in the spring of 2000 - the disappointment among automotive journalists was palpable. Lexus had taken the truly captivating design of the first-generation SC and essentially disregarded it, replacing the earlier architecture with one drawn by Toyota's team in Europe. The contrast wasn't as strong (or dysfunctional) as when the Jag E-Type morphed into the most unfortunate XJ-S in 1976, but it was close. Some seven years after production of the SC 430 ended, however, a coupe/convertible prospect has the benefit of both hindsight and nostalgia. Lines that once looked almost awkward when juxtaposed against the first SC are softened by time. And while the SC 430's retractable roof wasn't the first execution of a coupe/convertible hardtop, you can assume it works more predictably than its German counterparts. While purportedly seating four, this is a tight 2+2. But with V8 power and a 3,800 pound curb weight, the SC 430 is a substantive, comfortable way of propelling yourself down the road; think of it as a Miata for those wearing 'plus' sizes. This for-sale example, with 165,000 miles, is well-used, and its $9K asking price is at the top of the dealer range. But if you like its color and equipment, a well-maintained Lexus should - and could - give you another 100,000 miles of reliable service. Related Video:

2018 Lexus LS has a livelier look and new twin-turbo V6

Mon, Jan 9 2017

When considering that the Lexus LC 500 made it to production virtually unchanged from concept form, it was reasonable to think that the LS would similarly follow suit. Especially when the LS shares the LC's GA-L platform. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out that way. It is possible to spot cues inspired by the LF-FC concept, such as the lower contour of the windows, the crease in the metal leading up to the rear wheel, and of course the lights and spindle grille. But they're overshadowed by the fact that this LS has a significant amount more girth. View 14 Photos Just because it doesn't live up to the concept doesn't mean it's a bad looking car. It's far more interesting to look at than the dated, upright LS currently on dealer lots. It also sits quite low and the wheels and tires fill the wells nicely, which gives it a road-hugging stance. There are some nifty design details, too, such as the glass that is completely flush with the pillars. View 28 Photos As already mentioned, the new body is wrapped around a stretched version of the LC's platform, and it also uses its 10-speed automatic. Surprisingly, though, the LS doesn't use the LC's powertrain. Under the hood is a completely new twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out 415 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. That puts it down on power, but ahead in torque compared with the LC's V8. It's also significantly more than the previous LS' V8, and Lexus predicts it will be capable of a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds with rear-wheel drive. A Lexus PR representative also said the LS is only being released with the V6. We doubt it would be hard to drop one in later though if Lexus saw demand. Inside, the LS is more interesting than the outside would suggest. The dash is clearly inspired by the LC 500, utilizing a similar gauge pod with traction control and drive mode selectors protruding from each side. The dash is also dominated by a wide, dark section that houses the 12.3-inch infotainment display. Just below that, is an attractive strip of slats that follow the contours of the dash and house the air vents. Back seat passengers also will have a pleasant environment thanks to the fact that the LS will only be available in a long wheelbase form, so leg room will never be in short supply. They also will have access to available reclining seats, ottoman, and Shiatsu massage functionality. According to a spokesman, the Japanese-style of massage function is a first for the LS.

How Lexus, Infiniti plan to win back luxury buyers from Germans, Tesla

Thu, Jan 18 2018

DETROIT — Japanese luxury auto brands Lexus and Infiniti have used the Detroit Auto Show to test new ways to regain momentum against Germany's prestige automakers and Tesla. The Japanese are fighting to gain ground in the U.S. luxury market as Audi and Mercedes-Benz have expanded sales and Tesla has provided a fresh alternative to established brands. Last year, Lexus suffered a 7.6 percent slide in U.S. sales. Acura's 2017 sales fell 3.9 percent from 2016. Infiniti pushed up sales by 11.3 percent — but by selling almost twice as many sport utility vehicles as cars. However, Infiniti's total 2017 sales of 153,415 vehicles put it behind the leading Germany luxury car brands, as well as Acura, Lexus and Cadillac. The Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept SUV model, with its futuristic looks and "Chauffeur mode" semi-autonomous hands-off driving capabilities, signals that Toyota's luxury brand may start to focus more on SUVs than traditional large sedans. The LF-1 also previews a futuristic navigation technology that anticipates where the driver is going based on driving habits and history, and provides hotel recommendations or other concierge services. View 13 Photos "We don't want to be the 'race car' brand; we don't want to be the 'quiet ride' brand. We want to be the brand which is emotionally connected with the customer," said Cooper Ericksen, vice president of U.S. marketing for Lexus. Lexus, Infiniti and Acura launched in the U.S. market in the late 1980s and took advantage of quality problems at Audi and a lack of innovation at the then-leading luxury brands, Cadillac and Lincoln. Now, the structure of the U.S. luxury market has changed. Four brands — Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Lexus — dominate. Tesla delivered 103,000 vehicles in 2017, its best year ever, though that total is still a small fraction of the overall luxury market. Tesla, meanwhile, is trying to overcome "production hell" and increase output of its more affordable compact Model 3 sedan. The highly anticipated car is just starting to reach customers — but with 400,000 preorders, 2018 could be a breakthrough year for Tesla. View 19 Photos In Detroit, Infiniti showed the Q Inspiration Concept sedan powered by a unique, high-efficiency variable-compression gasoline engine. While the prototype is not electric, its exterior might appeal to customers of the Tesla Model S.
