This 2007 Lexus GX 470 is a midsize luxury SUV fully equipped with almost every luxury option available. Not to mention it only has 33,000 miles!!!

Features

Standard features include leather seating,  maple wood trim, heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an in-dash six-disc CD/DVD changer, 17-inch wheels, heated outside mirrors, illuminated running boards, one-touch up-and-down side windows, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear wipers, audio and cruise control on a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, HomeLink universal garage door opener, input jacks for devises like an iPod or even a regular two-prong power plug, multi-display computer with compass, altimeter, and barometer, auto on and off headlights with courtesy (off) delay, daylight running lights and fog lights, lighted running boards, full size spare tire, and roof rails with cross bars.

However, this GX 470 is packed with almost all the available upgrades including a sunroof, third-row seats with rear air conditioning and seat belts, DVD-based navigation system paired with the 14-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Audio System and a rear-seat entertainment system with a video screen spanning 9 inches wide. Other upgrades include the Sport Package that adds a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and special interior and exterior trim details. KDSS is a computer-controlled suspension system designed to smooth out the ride and improve handling.

Note: Third row seats can be folded or detached and removed when not in use for extra cargo space.

The dual-range all-wheel-drive system is among the very best (the center differential is a Torsen limited-slip unit) and it's complemented with a Downhill Assist Control (DAC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) and Active-TRAC (A-TRAC) traction control systems. The GX also has Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), anti-rollover dynamics, excellent four-wheel disc brakes with both ABS.

All GX 470 models are powered by a 263-horsepower, 4.7-liter, DOHC, 32-valve V8. The transmission is a five-speed automatic that feeds a standard dual-range transfer case and full-time four-wheel-drive system, which features a manual locking limited-slip differential. Properly equipped, the GX can tow up to 6,500 pounds.

Car History

Prior to my purchase, the vehicle was in an accident where it sustained damage to the front left corner of the car and three of the airbags were deployed. Insurance reported the accident as a total loss and a salvage title was issued. The car was since rebuilt and a rebuilt title was issued upon my purchase almost 3 years ago.  It should be noted that the three airbags were not replaced and estimates to replace the airbags range from $3,000-$4,000 (front seat-mounted side airbag on the driver’s side as well as the side curtain airbags on the driver’s and passenger side).

During my care, there was a minor accident where a driver accelerated before she was supposed to while waiting at a red light. Minimal damage to the bumper occurred which was repaired. The vehicle has been well cared for during my three years of ownership with all the required maintenance. There is a small scratch above the back right tire and the front left fog light cover has a small break (see pictures). All-in-all, the GX has barely noticeable scratches and paint chips consistent with normal use and age of the vehicle. When you see the vehicle, you will be amazed at its condition as you would never know it is a 2007. Vehicle runs and shifts smoothly with no mechanical issues. The vehicle is very comfortable and provides a quiet ride. Car has no odors (i.e. non-smoker, no pets).

Payments and Shipping

You only pay the agreed upon price for the vehicle, no additional charges or fees. Successful bidder will deposit $500.00 through eBay within 48hours (non-refundable if you don't complete the transaction). The remaining balance is payable within 7days. If you will need extra time to complete transaction, you can email me through eBay. Bidders with zero or excessive negative feedback on eBay need to contact me first before bidding. Final payment of the purchase price must be made before title is transferred and you can take possession of the vehicle, no exceptions.

Unfortunately, due to the high rate of scams, I will only accept bank wire transfers. Your payment must clear with the bank before you can take possession of the vehicle. Note: If financing is required, most banks will only allow for loans such as a personal loan and will not issue an auto loan due to the vehicle having a rebuilt title. If you are obtaining financing from a bank, I will assist as necessary with any required documentation (you will still need to pay the deposit fee of $500 to hold the vehicle).

Vehicle is being sold on As-is-Where-is basis, no warranty or representations expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle, registering it in their respective state and paying any applicable sales taxes. Vehicle is conveniently located 6 miles from the Tampa International Airport.

You are welcome to perform a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle at your own expense. If you have any questions regarding this vehicle, please email me.

I reserve the right to end this auction at any time if the vehicle is no longer available/ sold.

2015 Lexus RC F configurator heats up

Thu, Dec 4 2014

Just over two weeks after Lexus activated its online configurator for the 2015 RC350, the Japanese luxury marque is flipping the switch on the car we really want to customize – the 467-horsepower RC F. In addition to letting us play about with various configurations for the new sports coupe, Lexus' latest builder is decidedly different and more visually pleasing. It also does away with the brand's typical, and occasionally unintuitive, grouping of options. In its place, we have a trio of simple, logical packages. There's a navigation pack that adds, um, navigation. It also includes in Lexus' Enform telematics suite. You can also select a Premium Pack, that adds luxury features like heated and vented seats, park assist and LED headlamps, while an all-weather pack tacks on a heated steering wheel, headlamp washers and a deicer for the wiper blades. There are some secondary options, too, including an attractive set of 19-inch wheels, an updated leather interior, adaptive cruise control and a moonroof. All in all, pretty standard fare. Prices for the RC F start at $62,400, not counting a $925 destination charge. Head over to Lexus' consumer page and build your ideal RC F.

NHTSA may investigate new Toyota unintended acceleration case

Mon, Jul 13 2015

After paying a $1.2-billion settlement to the US government last year, Toyota largely put the unintended acceleration recall behind it. Although, there were still some civil lawsuits to handle. A new case where the owner of a 2009 Lexus ES350 is petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to open another analysis could draw the issue back to the forefront. Investigators are still deciding whether to research these claims further, though. According to this petition, the owner's wife was driving the ES350 in February 2015. While pulling into a parking space, the sedan allegedly surged forward, and there was a low-speed accident. The claim asserts there are at least two other similar cases in NHTSA's database: one in a 2009 Camry in 2009 and another in a 2010 Corolla in 2014. Specifically, this person wants an "investigation into low-speed surging in different models of Toyota automobiles in which the car starts accelerating and the engine RPM increases even when the accelerator pedal is not depressed," according to the agency. NHTSA will do further research into this person's claim and will decide whether to conduct a full investigation into the alleged issue. This won't be the first reappraisal of unintended acceleration in Toyotas by the agency in recent months, though. Between September 2014 and May 2015, NHTSA evaluated a similar petition with allegations covering 2006-2010 Corollas, and the government body decided to deny that one because the problem couldn't be replicated. The petition was prompted by a February 2015 crash involving a model year (MY) 2009 Lexus ES350, which allegedly surged as the petitioner's wife was pulling into a parking spot.

2016 Lexus GS F First Drive [w/video]

Wed, Oct 14 2015

Performance cars used to be about horsepower and chassis tuning. Lately the question isn't so much what's under the hood, but how many buttons are on the console. We're overwhelmed with individual settings for engine response, transmission, exhaust, steering, and ride. When did these cars turn into a choose your own tuning adventure? The Lexus GS F represents an attempt to step back from this over-adjustable madness and return to more bygone sports car values. It has a special engine, unique bodywork, and a chassis tuned for high performance. There are only two settings you need to play with. The first setting is the Drive Mode Select dial on the center console, which mainly controls the response of 5.0-liter V8 engine and the shift behavior of the eight-speed automatic. The engine is the same V8 found in the RC F, making the same 467 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque. New this year are small balancing weights on the crankshaft pulley that cut down on internal vibration. Drive Mode Select also changes the electronic power steering, air conditioning, and stability control (you can also turn it all the way off via a separate button). The engine is the same V8 found in the RC F, making the same 467 horsepower and 389 pound-feet of torque. You will use two settings in the GS F: Eco when you want to get somewhere, Sport S+ when you want to get somewhere fast. Normal and Sport S modes offer intermediate steps you don't really need. Eco mode softens the throttle and reduces the use of air conditioning for slightly better fuel economy. It also makes the center-mounted tachometer switch into an eco-driving gauge. S+ puts everything into sport mode, including a heavier steering weight and a higher stability control threshold. While Sport S mode shifts the noon position of the tachometer to just below the horsepower peak of 7,000 rpm, S+ goes a step further and turns the rev indicator into a solid bar that grows around the edge of the display. It also adds oil and coolant temperature to the readout. And how could we fail to mention G-Force Artificial Intelligence (or grin at such an overwrought name)? That's the shift logic the transmission uses in Sport S+. It's designed to hold revs in corners and downshift during hard braking. "Our goal with F is to make a driver's car, not a drag race winner." The other button in the Lexus GS F that you need to pay attention to is next to the Drive Mode Select knob, labeled TVD for Torque Vectoring Differential.
