Amazing 2008 Lexus Gs460 4.6l V8 Sedan * Super Low 78k Mi * All Options *$64,000 on 2040-cars
Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Up for sale today is a beautiful 2008 Lexus GS460 4 door luxury sedan with the desirable 4.6L V8 "Mark Levinson" edition. This limited production Lexus features every option in the book including the $6000 Levinson stereo which is second to none. I could run down every little option, but when I say everything, I mean it. Leather, automatic, heated everything seats and mirrors, power everything, tint, alloys, high end tires, sensors, camera, navigation, moonroof, cupholders front and back, spare that was never used, power sunshade in rear window, etc. Mechanically super sound and running like an Indy car. Very powerful and fast, you'll have acceleration to spare on the highway. Needs absolutely nothing to drive home. Comes with one FOB key and owner's manual. GS460 is pearl white exterior with tan leather interior, exterior is very nice with no noticeable dings or anything you would consider distracting. Car's front may have a chip here or there from highway mileage, as one would expect in a used car, but just look those pictures and you can tell this is a beauty. Tires are newer high end, expensive brand with original Lexus alloy stylish rims. Car starts strong every time and runs like an Indy car, corners sharp and tight just like you'd expect. Mechanically sound in every way I can think of. Title in hand with Kansas City Policemen's Credit Union as lienholder, ready to sign over to new owner. If you've been wanting one of these Lexus V8s, this just might be your best time to do so...they are so hard to locate! Even my Lexus guys can't find 'em. They say that in all the years Superior Lexus North has been in business, they've only seen two of these GS460s in all of Kansas City proper. And before those questions come in..."can I drive it home?"...yes, I would be confident to drive anywhere in the United States you call home after winning the bid. 2008 Lexus GS460 is sold "as is/where is" from Kansas City, MO. No warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. You are buying exactly what you see pictured. Pickup of vehicle is entirely responsibility of winning bidder. Car must be paid for in cash or wired funds must "settle" at my Kansas City Policemen's Credit Union before any title transfer takes place, no exceptions. Checks not accepted as payment. No PayPal on this specific sale, please, because of dollar amount. Once payment has been satisfied 100%, then we can discuss when and how to pick up car from present location. Easy to work with on that, if you need time to arrange transportation, I fully understand. Important thing is that car MUST be paid for in full within 5 business days of auction end or I go to next in line. Do not bid if you cannot or won't have funds available immediately after sale ends as I am looking for immediate sale, not long drawn-out procedure with you and your bank over financing. Just being honest and straight-forward from the beginning, thank you. And remember...auction can be ended at any time without warning. If a bidder makes serious intentions known and follows through...we're selling! Appraised for $26,850...any sum after opening $20,000.00 bid is met, I will let the auction go to the end and winner will be crowned! |

What does a million-mile car really tell us?
Fri, Sep 18 2015A million miles. Nearly every car brand and motor oil company plays the million-mile marketing racket at some point. The typical recipe is to take a car that experienced a ton of low-stress highway miles, and make it a rolling testament to the long-term qualities of whatever reputation you're trying to prop up. Saab, Lincoln, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chrysler. It's a tired game that I would normally just consider one of the pointless ranking exercises of our time. But the truth is, when it comes to a car's longevity, it's almost always the owner that makes the real difference, not the brand. Like a pitcher at a baseball game, the owner mostly determines the victories and the defeats for his car. Some specific models are the basement dwellers of our time – I'm looking at you, Chrysler car with the 2.7-liter engine! But a lot of cars and trucks hit right around the average that is a powertrain whose longevity is mainly determined by that person who turns the key and hopefully learns that patient art of long-term ownership. The best owners are the ones who deserve the attention. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. This Lexus could be written off as another cynical marketing exercise in this business, performed by those who didn't do the real driving in the past and have no plans at all on doing the bulk of the driving in the future. Matt's actually doing a few things that are genuinely cool, though. Letting other auto journalists and enthusiasts drive it along the way and giving Regular Car Reviews a crack at it. Focusing on the rare virtues of the first-generation Lexus, which, to be frank, can out-diesel a diesel. There is a great story to be had with this car. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life. That story is far more vast than a guy who bought a high-mileage car in great overall condition. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life so that it can endure the ages. This Lexus, like all other high-mileage models worthy of our love, has been given one hell of a good maintenance regimen by the prior owners. It was taken care of and primarily maintained at the dealership, where it probably received the best parts and service, thanks in enormous part to owners who were willing to pay that exorbitantly high bill.
Lexus talks LFA successor
Sat, 09 Aug 2014Did you just miss out on purchasing one of the 500 Lexus LFA supercars built between 2010 and 2012? "No big deal," you're probably thinking, "I'll just wait until the next time Lexus builds a supercar." Well, we're afraid that you'll be waiting quite a long time. And by long time, we mean about 30 years.
That's according to a report from Bloomberg, which indicates that yes, Lexus is looking at a follow-up to the V10-powered, carbon-fiber-bodied LFA.
"Akio [Toyoda] believes that every generation deserves to have a car like an LFA, so we're building an LFA for the generation we have today," Lexus Executive Vice President Mark Templin told Bloomberg. "At some point, there may be another special car for another generation."
