2008 Lexus Es350 Base Sedan 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Hermosa Beach, California, United States
|
This Lexus ES350 was purchased new for my grandfather who would come into Los Angeles for work regularly. It's been garaged only. Regularly serviced. And, it's driven twice a month in order to keep the engine/fluids in order while my grandpa is out of town. He's unfortunately out of town much more often than not, hence the sale.
The paint is in fantastic condition with only the most minor of scuffs that would be associated with the 16,000miles of mostly highway miles. No there isn't a translation error here. It has SIXTEEN thousand miles ONLY. The interior is in great shape with no tears or worn leather. The trim is in immaculate shape. He and I are non-smokers so not one single cigarette has ever been inside the vehicle. Shipping and payment: Cash or money order. Since I am not a high volume seller I have to ask that you please arrange for the car transportation. It is currently located in Hermosa Beach, CA. Features include: GPS Back-Up Camera, KEY LESS GO Smart Key, Cooled Seat, Heated Seats, Navigation System, Seat Memory, Tape/CD/MP3, 5 Passenger Seating, 50 State Emissions, A/C, ABS Brakes, Auxiliary Pwr Outlet, Cruise Control, Dual Air Bags, Dual Air Conditioning, Fog Lamps, Owner's Manual, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power rearview mirror tinting, Power Telescopic Steering, Power Tilt Steering, Power Trunk Release, Power Windows, Push Button Start, Pwr Steering, Rear Defrost, Security System, Steering Wheel Audio Control, Tire Pressure Monitor System, Traction Control, Trip Computer, Trip Counter, A/C ice cold. Lexus hints at LF-SA concept bound for Geneva
Tue, Feb 17 2015Lexus has been moving steadily away from its once conservative designs with increasingly aggressive ones, and looks set to move the bar once again with this latest concept. Bearing the codename LF-SA, the new Lexus concept is set to debut in a couple of weeks at the Geneva Motor Show. But the Japanese luxury automaker isn't giving us much to go on from the decidedly enigmatic teaser image and brief statement below. According to Lexus, "the LF-SA Concept explores unexpected territories for the brand," which could come down to a new compact model to either replace or slot in below the CT 200h in the brand's lineup. The upright form would seem to be consistent with a city car. Beyond that, we can see an even larger evolution of Lexus' trademark spindle grille and checkmark accent lights. Whatever it is, though, Toyota's luxury division promises it will remain "a driver-focused vehicle." We'll just have to sit tight and wait to find out more, so watch this space. 17 Feb 2015 WORLD PREMIERE OF THE LEXUS LF-SA CONCEPT AT THE 2015 GENEVA MOTOR SHOW Lexus will reveal its all-new concept, the LF-SA at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Brussels, Belgium - An illustration of Lexus' passion for upcoming design trends, the LF-SA Concept explores unexpected territories for the brand in a bold and emotional execution. In a future world which many people see as increasingly influenced by technology and virtual experiences, the LF-SA Concept is also a driver-focused vehicle, reflecting Lexus' vision that real experience will remain ultimate luxury. The LF-SA Concept will be revealed at the Lexus Press Conference taking place on March 3, 2015 at 12:30 PM at the Lexus stand (number 4211) in Palexpo, Hall 4.
2014 Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS 250 fail to achieve Consumer Reports 'Recommended' rating
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Infiniti and Lexus might be a little concerned now that both of their new luxury sedans, the Q50 and IS250, were unable to net Consumer Reports vaunted "Recommended" rating during their first year on the market. In fact, not only did the two fail to earn a "Recommended" rating, they finished behind the vast majority of the competition after testing, including the BMW 328i, Mercedes-Benz C250, Lincoln MKZ and Volvo S60 T5.
The Q50 managed to snag a "Very Good" rating overall, but CR criticized it's road manners for not being as thrilling as the car it (sort of) replaces, the G37. The mag called the handling mundane and the steering dull, while also remarking on the poor controls. According to CR, the interior quality is "nothing special." Shade was also thrown at the Q50's reportedly poor ride.
Compared to the IS, though, the Q50 got off easy. CR called it "neither sporty nor luxurious," while criticizing the 2.5-liter V6's lack of oomph and poor fuel economy. The mag then went on to lambaste the IS's handling, steering, interior, cabin space and infotainment system.
Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
