Here is a nice 2002 Lexus Es300 with only 120,462 miles. Runs great, regular oil changes new tires and brakes within the last few months. The leather interior is in pretty good shape. The seats have better than normal wear as far as cracking goes. No rips or tears. I bought this from Toledo Lexus dealer about 8 years ago as a certified pre-owned vehicle but I think the rear bumper was repainted once before. It was also involved in a front accident a few years back. Nothing real bad, the girl ran a red light and hit the front right fender. All that was replaced was the right fender, head light and the front bumper cover. This is a nice car for the price, it has some small nicks, stone chips and other minor paint blems, nothing you would notice at 5 feet, but normal for a car that is 12 years old. It has always been garaged until today since we bought a new one. One last thing is the check engine light has been on for a few years, it comes up as EGR code. I really didn't care so it never go fixed, it still get 27MPG on average so no big deal. I have never had to take it in for any work other than the new tires and brakes. Pretty darn good for a 12 year old car. The Es300 was one of the safest cars in 2002 with all of the airbags it has so this would make a great first car for a high school kid or go get the rear bumper fixed for a $200 and you would have a really nice car. Nothing, nothing rides like a Lexus in my book... Any questions please ask!!
As this is a 12 year old car, I am selling it as is, where is, no warranty. |

Lexus fans vote Solar Flare for new RC F hue
Wed, 18 Jun 2014What's in a name? When it comes to model nameplates, quite a lot, and automakers go to considerable lengths to find just the right one. Same goes for the names of the colors in the catalog (save for maybe the Rape Yellow in the extensive Bugatti palette), but every once in a while, an automaker will open it up for suggestions from the public.
SRT did that when it introduced a new shade of blue for its Viper, as did Chevy for the pale green on the Volt. And last month, Lexus followed a similar path when it asked fans on Facebook to come up with a name for the new shade of orange for the RC F.
Fans suggested names like Tangerine Flame, Outrageous Orange and Fiery Orange, but ultimately the winning submission that Lexus selected was Solar Flare. The name was suggested by five individuals and will now enter the catalog of colors for the new luxury muscle coupe with its 450-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Lexus resurrecting SC name for big, expensive coupe
Mon, Jun 29 2015Lexus is preparing the SC nomenclature for its third act, after the first bombshell SC coupe from 1991 and the second, Desperate Housewives hardtop convertible evolution from 2001. The brand is aiming again for something that makes a deep mark, with rumored specs pointing to a large, heavy, powerful coupe that will square its spindle grille up against the Mercedes SL and BMW 6 Series. It will be built on the frame of the next-generation LS sedan, and Automobile says internal combustion motivation will come in three flavors. The starter will be a juiced-up version of the company's 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8, the one that currently makes 467 horsepower in the RC F. Stepping up from there will be some kind of hybrid powertrain good for around 500 horsepower; last year Motor Trend wrote that the hybrid would be based around a V6 ICE with Toyota's coming "multi-hybrid" system. The top step will be a twin-turbo version of the V8 that could exceed 600 hp. Early reports of dimensions have it at 185 inches long, 75 inches wide, and 53 inches tall. It is expected to use the world's first application of a ten-speed automatic transmission. It'll also get the RC F's torque vectoring mechanism for the rear-wheel-drive setup, though Car and Driver says an all-wheel drive option "might be added later." Aluminum and carbon fiber components will help manage weight. Its design will be inspired by the LF-LC concept, and right now its pricing is as murky as its looks. C/D posits an MSRP from $80,000 to $95,000, Automobile figures it will go "past the $100,000 mark," and MT pegs the situation at $150,000. All agree, however, that it will join the retail pipeline as a 2017 model.
2013 Lexus ES earns five stars from NHTSA
Wed, 05 Dec 2012The 2013 Lexus ES has earned a five-star crash rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The 2013 ES 350 and ES 300h hybrid earned the highest ratings in each of the government's crash evaluations, including overall driver safety, frontal crashes and overall side impacts, save one. The sedan only achieved a four-star rating in the NHTSA rollover protection test, but that fault wasn't enough to keep the vehicle from earning a five-star designation overall.
The announcement doesn't mention the recent Consumer Reports claim that the ES comes with a faulty emergency trunk release that can be easily broken in a panic situation.
As you may recall, the 2013 ES 350 carries an MSRP of $36,100, plus an $895 destination fee and offers buyers a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 good for 248 pound-feet of torque, as well. The ES 300h, meanwhile, stickers at $38,850 plus the same destination charge.
