Blue, Rust-free, 1994 Range Rover Long Wheel Base on 2040-cars

I've had this vehicle for about two years. I've owned a number of Range Rover classics and know them rather well, so if you have any questions please email. The vehicle was originally from southern I replaced the radiator, heater core, and heater blower motor last year so they only have a couple of thousand miles on them. The only thing that doesn't work correctly are the power side mirrors. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. The seats, windows, power locks, cruise control, radio, sunroof, all lighting, and even the air conditioning all work. I don't have a fob for the remote locks, but the doors all lock with the key. The air suspension was converted to coil springs by a previous owner. The tires are in good condition with plenty of tread left. Vehicle starts right up. I had it in the garage since last October and it started this week like I had just ran to the store with it. Cruises great and straight down the highway. There is a ticking noise that I haven't been able to pinpoint. If you can, watch the video http://youtu.be/MtWhd_zB47M to see more details of the vehicle and to listen to the tick. It comes and goes. Sometimes it's louder, sometimes it's quieter, and sometimes it's not there at all. I haven't been able to figure it out. However, other than being an annoying noise, it doesn't effect drivability. It's made the noise ever since I've owned it. It sounds like it's coming from the left catalytic converter but I don't know for sure. There are a couple of nicks in the windshield but no spreading cracks. The paint still has a nice finish to it and it shines up nice with a wax job, but there are a number of small scratches and numerous dings.
Yellow Brit plate on the front does not come with vehicle. Please email with any questions. Stupid questions like what kind of gas mileage it gets will be ignored. |

Jaguar Land Rover is going to call itself 'JLR' and spin off brands
Wed, Apr 19 2023Embracing the current popular philosophy that less is more, the executives at Jaguar Land Rover plan to officially rename their company “JLR” and to create a new “house of brands” that will emphasize name equity and refocus its vehicle offerings. In simple terms, the British-based, India-owned company will split into four separate brands: Range Rover, Discovery, Defender and Jaguar. While this shift may appear to be essentially a function of marketing and dealership bookkeeping, the over-arching reason is to give some of the brands more visibility. Details of the plan, which would reconfigure showrooms in Britain into discrete brand footprints, were discussed this week at a presentation by JLR CEO Adrian Mardell. “The reality is Range Rover is a brand and so is Defender,’” said creative officer Gerry McGovern. “Customers say they own a Range Rover. In luxury, you need absolute clarity. Land Rover Range Rover SV Autobiography doesnÂ’t give it. We love Land Rover, but there isn't as much equity as Range Rover, and Defender is increasing massively.” Underlying the effort is plans to reinvent Jaguar as an electric-only luxury brand, Mardell said that this was “unfinished business” for him since he joined Jaguar 32 years ago. “The Jaguar of 32 years ago is where weÂ’re going back to and the right place for us to be." He further acknowledged that JLR had been “quiet” recently in the face of semiconductor chip shortages, but allowed that that situation was easing at his company.
Jaguar Land Rover said to favor Europe rather than US for new plant
Sat, Feb 21 2015With its plants running at full tilt, Jaguar Land Rover is in desperate need of additional manufacturing capacity. That's led to reports that the Indian-owned British company was looking to join European, Japanese and Korean automakers in America's southern states, all while it opened new plants in the UK and China. The company even announced it would be building the Land Rover Discovery Sport in Brazil. Now, though, reports are suggesting that JLR is looking at Europe for a new facility, rather than the US, with Automotive News claiming the company's execs are eyeing the lower costs afforded by Austria and Turkey. The report cites the Birmingham Post (UK), the broadsheet that's closest to the company's headquarters. According to the original report, labor costs and wage disputes with unions are ruling out another factory in the UK, while those same disputes with labor outfits may also be souring the automaker on a US facility. "At this stage Europe seems more likely than America. The union pay dispute had a big effect," an unnamed source told the Post. "There is a feeling of alienation that has been left over from the way the pay talks were handled." JLR, meanwhile, offered a solid no comment to the Post, with a spokesperson saying, "No decision has been taken on future manufacturing locations. We will continue to evaluate opportunities to increase our manufacturing footprint in the future." Related Video:
