1999 Range Rover 4.0se Winch/bullbar/roofrack/coil Conversion/tow Pkg/strobes Nr on 2040-cars
Easthampton, Massachusetts, United States
Are You Ready For The Winter?? You can’t beat a Range Rover in the Snow and the Farmer’s Almanac is predicting an exceptionally snowy winter this year.
This auction is for my prized 1999 Range Rover 4.0 SE. It is
the absolutely most desirable color combination and in fabulous shape. This is
the second generation p38 with the Bosch engine. It is in beautiful condition
and has been meticulously maintained.
It is fully equipped with a super heavy duty front winch
bumper with steering protection plate and a Warn winch with (wired) remote
control, roof rack, and high power emergency strobe lights in all four corners
(hidden inside the signal lights), towing package with class III receiver and
trailer wiring (plug your ball mount into the receiver and go) and slightly
over-sized tires. If you are looking at Range Rovers, you probably know they
come equipped with air suspension that tends to cause a lot of very expensive
problems. This Range Rover has been converted to coils spring suspension for
better reliability and better ride on and off road. There are no check engine
light warnings or other warning lights on.
The Rangie is in great shape. It’s beautiful inside and out
and in great running condition. Interior is in great shape, showing light wear
for the age, headliner is not sagging, seats are beautiful tan leather,
includes the rare factory Range Rover floor mats front and back and a cargo
cover and load space liner in back. It has the factory stereo system with
weather band and CD changer. My local mechanic recently inspected it and the
only issue he found was a small exhaust leak. The only other issues I know of are
that the winch cable needs to be pulled out manually, but pulls/powers in fine.
I’m pretty sure that this is just a solenoid or connection, but I haven’t
looked into it since I don’t off-road the truck. The only time I used the winch
was to pull a UPS truck out of the ditch in front of my house last winter. Also,
the heated seats and cruise control are not working. The Rangie is super clean, runs, shifts, stops without a
fault. It never runs hot. ABS, Traction control, AWD, etc. all work as they
should. As you can see from the pictures, the paint and body are in beautiful shape with only a couple small door dings. The heated windshield has a few small rock chips, but otherwise is great. Steering is nice and tight and the Rover rides and stops strong and straight. I would not be selling it, except for the fact that my wife now has the
newer generation Range Rover and we can’t afford to keep both.
The Rangie includes the full owner’s manual, and both original keys (the original switch blade key plus the regular key).
Please be aware that the Rangie is for sale locally and I
reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. It is in great shape for
its age and mileage, but please remember that it is a used car and is not in
new car condition. It is sold strictly as-is, where-is and the buyer is
responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs, although I will try to be
as helpful as possible to make the transaction smooth.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of
the auction end and the balance is due within 7 days. Please do not bid if you
are not going to follow through. Your bid is a legally binding contract. Please email me with any questions you have.
Good luck bidding.

For some of us that day can't come soon enough, and in honor of Earth Day we've put together a list of our favorite car giveaways so you can save some green while being green. Win a 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S and $20,000 - Enter Here If there’s one thing Porsche is good at, itÂ’s making fast, beautiful cars, and the Taycan Turbo S is no exception. Making 750 horsepower, 774 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 161 miles per hour, punching the accelerator will surely throw you back in your seat. In fact, its 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds matches that of the quickest Porsche 911 ever made, the Turbo S. The difference between this Taycan Turbo S and that 911 Turbo S, of course, is that the only reason youÂ’ll ever need to stop off at a gas station is to fill up on snacks. That and the fact the Taycan doesn't actually have a turbo anywhere in the car. We wouldnÂ’t be reaching for a bag of FlaminÂ’ Hot Cheetos, though, because this incredibly comfortable leather interior is immaculate, and weÂ’d hope to keep it that way. Enter here for a chance to win this prize worth $220,000. Win a Himalaya Land Rover Defender 110 EV and $20,000 - Enter Here The Land Rover Defender is an icon: an intense, luxurious off-roader that turns heads and can crawl up nearly anything. The problem? For the past 20+ years it hasn't been available in the United States and it's never been what youÂ’d call environmentally friendly. But this Defender is different. ItÂ’s vintage, restored by Himalaya and itÂ’s all-electric. At 275 horsepower, you wonÂ’t be thrown back in your seat, but the 406 lb-ft of torque helps make this an incredibly capable rock crawler.
Jaguar Land Rover is going to call itself 'JLR' and spin off brands
Wed, Apr 19 2023Embracing the current popular philosophy that less is more, the executives at Jaguar Land Rover plan to officially rename their company “JLR” and to create a new “house of brands” that will emphasize name equity and refocus its vehicle offerings. In simple terms, the British-based, India-owned company will split into four separate brands: Range Rover, Discovery, Defender and Jaguar. While this shift may appear to be essentially a function of marketing and dealership bookkeeping, the over-arching reason is to give some of the brands more visibility. Details of the plan, which would reconfigure showrooms in Britain into discrete brand footprints, were discussed this week at a presentation by JLR CEO Adrian Mardell. “The reality is Range Rover is a brand and so is Defender,’” said creative officer Gerry McGovern. “Customers say they own a Range Rover. In luxury, you need absolute clarity. Land Rover Range Rover SV Autobiography doesnÂ’t give it. We love Land Rover, but there isn't as much equity as Range Rover, and Defender is increasing massively.” Underlying the effort is plans to reinvent Jaguar as an electric-only luxury brand, Mardell said that this was “unfinished business” for him since he joined Jaguar 32 years ago. “The Jaguar of 32 years ago is where weÂ’re going back to and the right place for us to be." He further acknowledged that JLR had been “quiet” recently in the face of semiconductor chip shortages, but allowed that that situation was easing at his company.
