1995 Range Rover County LWB. This is a spectacular example of the Classic Range Rover. The exterior and interior are in exceptional condition as the pictures indicate. 2 Owner vehicle. All maintenance has been up to date on this vehicle. Ardennes Green exterior, with Camel Beige Interior. Mileage is currently at 155,757, and occasionally driven through date of sale. I have owned several Range Rover vehicles through the years and never once seen one this nice. The headliner is perfect, without flaw. The sunroof opens and closes perfectly. All doors and windows open and close as they should. As you probably already are aware, all of the body panels on this SUV are made from aluminum, which in turn means that they will never deteriorate or rust. The tailgate is in perfect working order as well as the hydraulics that support it. The suspension is original and has not been modified, it retains its air-ride suspension from Land Rover. This is very rare as most owners choose to alter suspension with the inexpensive coil-over spring option. All also in great working order. The Alternator and Battery have both been recently replaced. The driver seat shows minimal signs of wear, no tears. Also a light color spot on the rear of drivers seat pocket. This was the last year the County was in production in the US. Range Rover spared no expense celebrating its success with these SUV's. The passenger accommodations are unrivaled by any except for Bentley. The ABS light is currently on on the dash, which will need a sensor or possibly master cylinder / accumulator replacement. Drives exceptionally well with the larger 4.2L Engine, has lots of power and cruises comfortably on the highway at speed. Has aftermarket roof rack system. Jaguar Land Rover won't get a bailout from the UK
Sun, Aug 16 2020Bailout talks between Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Steel with the UK government have ended, leaving both firms to rely on private financing to overcome the impact of coronavirus on business, the Financial Times reported on Friday. The report said that talks for an emergency funding fell through as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) did not qualify for taxpayer support. It is the luxury car unit of India's Tata Motors and Tata Steel, both owned by Indian conglomerate Tata Group. The bailout plan, titled "Project Birch", had been authorized by Finance Minister Rishi Sunak in May to rescue companies that are seen as strategically important, with the Treasury saying it may step in to support crucial businesses on a "last resort" basis after other options run out. The report, citing a source familiar with the matter, said that the funding scheme became infeasible for Tata as it imposed strict conditions on any lending. "Tata Steel remains in ongoing and constructive talks with the UK Government on areas of potential support," Tata Steel said in an emailed statement. The UK Treasury said it would not comment on individual companies. Tata Motors did not immediately respond to request for comment. Jaguar F-Pace SVR to debut this week at New York Auto Show
Mon, Mar 26 2018It should come as no surprise that the folks back in England have been working on a hot new version of the Jaguar F-Pace. Today, just ahead of the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the British automaker confirmed that the Jaguar F-Pace SVR will debut this week. The new Jaguar I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe will make their North American debuts alongside the F-Pace. All we know about the F-Pace SVR is that it will be the fastest and most powerful version of Jaguar's best-selling product. We don't even have a teaser photo, as Jaguar Land Rover loves to play things close to the vest, so we're sharing some spy photos that we think might be the new model. Expect some version of JLR's 5.0-liter supercharged V8. We're hoping it's the 575 horsepower variant from the refreshed Range Rover Sport SVR. Expect 0-60 mph times in the low-4-second range and a top speed of at least 155 mph. The I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe both debuted earlier this month at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The I-Pace is an all-electric crossover with an estimated 240 miles of range. The SV Coupe is a limited-production two-door variant of the full-size Range Rover. Lexus leads J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study for 2021
Thu, Feb 18 2021J.D. Power's latest Vehicle Dependability Study is out, and, not surprisingly, Lexus sits at the top for the ninth time in the last 10 years. Right behind Lexus is Porsche, followed by Kia, which is the highest-ranked mass-market brand in the study. Genesis, last year's top-ranked brand (in its first year included in the results), fell from first to eighth, though the G80 sedan did earn an award in its midsize luxury segment. The Porsche 911 was called out as the Most Dependable Model by J.D. Power for the second time in the last three years. The vehicles being studied are from the 2018 model year, which means owners have had three years to get to know their cars and trucks. It's notable that this year's study shows a marked improvement in overall vehicle dependability as tracked by J.D. Power. The overall level of problems, scored by the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), declined by 10% compared to last year. "The study results validate what we have known for some time," said Dave Sargent, vice president of global automotive at J.D. Power. "Automakers are making increasingly dependable vehicles — but there are still some problem areas that need to be addressed and some warning signs on the horizon." Tesla makes its inaugural appearance on the Dependability Study, though its score of 176 PP100 isn't official. Tesla is the only automaker that has chosen not to grant J.D. Power permission to survey its owners in all 50 states. As we've pointed out in the past, the Vehicle Dependability Study includes eight major vehicle categories grouped by J.D. Power as follows: audio/communication/entertainment/navigation (ACEN); engine/transmission; exterior; interior; features/controls/displays (FCD); driving experience; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; and seats. All issues reported by owners are all tracked equally, which means a problematic phone pairing procedure dings an automaker's rating the same as a blown engine or transmission. And in fact, the ACEN category has more reported problems than any other, which means the majority of problems reported don't lead to a vehicle that leaves its owner stranded.
