This is a 1995 Land Rover Range Rover Classic LWB that is finished in Beluga Black with tan leather interior. The vehicle runs and drives good, has never left me stranded, but does have some quirks as can be expected from any 18 year old British vehicle.
Drivetrain:
The vehicle starts and runs fine, but does have a faint miss when warmed up. This never bothered me as the last three Classics I owned did the same thing. The truck has had a full tune up including new spark plugs, spark plug wires, and coil. The intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets were also replaced at this time. I have never had a need to use the transfer case, so I have never tried putting it in low range, therefore I'm not sure if that works. The front axle has been rebuilt with new bearings and seals, then filled with the proper oils and lubricants. Also, new tie rod ends were fitted. The old air suspension was taken out and replaced with OME springs so there are no suspension worries. A new brake accumulator was fitted. There is a matching set of Michelin LTX tires that have plenty of tread, but they do show some signs of dry rot around the edges. They definitely have life left in them.
Interior:
For the age of the vehicle, the interior is in good condition. The driver's leather seat does show some wear, but there are no tears or splits. The passenger seat shows some nominal wear. The carpet is clean. The finish of the wood trim has cracked in places and the wood has faded from the sun in places, but it is all there. The power seats are not working which is a common Rover issue. The power windows operate as they should. The A/C and heat work great. The radio works and sounds great as it should. I don't know if the sunroof works as I never used it. I'm not sure about the cruise control, never used it. The headliner is drooping which is another Rover issue and an easy fix. I took the headliner material off of the panel below the sunroof. The bezel around the instrument cluster is loose, but most are. The clock doesn't work. The dash has the usual Rover lights on: traction control, ABS, SRS, and suspension lights. The traction control and ABS lights come and go. This is probably a sensor; I never checked into it as it doesn't affect the normal function of the truck. The SRS light stays lit. The suspension light is on because I never pulled the suspension ecu when I switched over to coil springs. The truck does not lock with the key, however it will lock from the inside.
Exterior:
The exterior paint still shows pretty good. The top has faded and the hood has some rough spots which can be seen in the pictures. The doors and quarter panels don't look bad, but there are some scratches and dents which can be expected from an 18 year old vehicle. The rear hatch has rusted out and doesn't close properly which is a common Rover problem. These can be found on eBay from time to time. The windshield seal needs to be replaced at some point. There is some rust in the front floors, but nothing that has eaten through. POR15 would stop that now. The chrome front bumper doesn't have the shine as it did when it was new, but I do have another one that I will give the new owner if he/she feels it needs to be replaced.
Terms of sale: *** PLEASE READ***
I have honestly described everything I know about the vehicle. If there is a specific question you would like to know about the vehicle, please ask now. Once the auction is won, you have entered into a legally binding contract and the vehicle is yours. I have the original brush guard that came with the vehicle which I will give to the new owner. I'll also throw in a Thule roof rack.
I require an immediate deposit of $500.00 once the auction is won and the balance to be paid within seven days using cash or a certified cashier's check.
STAY AWAY if:
You have negative feedback
You don't plan on paying
You won't pay
You don't understand Rovers
You don't understand British vehicles
You are expecting a new Range Rover
You are expecting Toyota or Honda reliability
Again, this is a good truck that has never left me stranded and one that I wouldn't hesitate to travel cross country in. It does have quirks typical of Rovers and 18 year old vehicles. Please ask any questions you might have. Thanks and good luck bidding.

For some of us that day can't come soon enough, and in honor of Earth Day we've put together a list of our favorite car giveaways so you can save some green while being green. Win a 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S and $20,000 - Enter Here If there’s one thing Porsche is good at, itÂ’s making fast, beautiful cars, and the Taycan Turbo S is no exception. Making 750 horsepower, 774 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 161 miles per hour, punching the accelerator will surely throw you back in your seat. In fact, its 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds matches that of the quickest Porsche 911 ever made, the Turbo S. The difference between this Taycan Turbo S and that 911 Turbo S, of course, is that the only reason youÂ’ll ever need to stop off at a gas station is to fill up on snacks. That and the fact the Taycan doesn't actually have a turbo anywhere in the car. We wouldnÂ’t be reaching for a bag of FlaminÂ’ Hot Cheetos, though, because this incredibly comfortable leather interior is immaculate, and weÂ’d hope to keep it that way. Enter here for a chance to win this prize worth $220,000. Win a Himalaya Land Rover Defender 110 EV and $20,000 - Enter Here The Land Rover Defender is an icon: an intense, luxurious off-roader that turns heads and can crawl up nearly anything. The problem? For the past 20+ years it hasn't been available in the United States and it's never been what youÂ’d call environmentally friendly. But this Defender is different. ItÂ’s vintage, restored by Himalaya and itÂ’s all-electric. At 275 horsepower, you wonÂ’t be thrown back in your seat, but the 406 lb-ft of torque helps make this an incredibly capable rock crawler.
Jaguar tests autonomous vehicle technology with 100-car fleet
Wed, Jul 13 2016Jaguar Land Rover is exploring how to take autonomous vehicle technology off the paved path. But the company has plans for technology on tarmac, too. The company announced that the Jaguar division will have a fleet of 100 cars testing autonomous technologies on public roads. The testing process will cover a period of four years and begin with vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication systems, along with a stereo camera system and autonomous vehicle software. These systems will work together to provide a variety of features that could make their way into future Jaguars and Land Rovers. The first feature in development is called "Roadwork Assist." The system relies on the stereo camera to create a 3D image the car's software can analyze. The software can identify road cones and other barriers associated with construction sites. The car will then alert the driver about entering the construction zone and provide some steering assistance to keep the car centered in its lane. Tony Harper, Jaguar's head of research, said that this system can reduce stress on the driver, and the technology could eventually be used to allow the car to pilot itself through construction zones. Another of Jaguar's proposed features is "Safe Pullaway," which also relies on cameras and software. The Safe Pullaway feature is designed to prevent close-proximity collisions in traffic jams and even in the garage. To do this, the car watches the area immediately ahead of it for obstacles. If the car detects something nearby while the driver adds throttle or shifts into gear, it will apply the brakes to prevent driving into the object. The final project on Jaguar's plate is its "Over the Horizon Warning" system. This will be one of the first features to rely on Jaguar's vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology. The idea is that connected cars in constant communication will give drivers additional warning of upcoming hazards, such as out-of-sight animals and slowed or stopped cars. In Jaguar's example of a stopped car, the stationary vehicle would send a signal alerting approaching cars of the situation. In turn, the approaching vehicles would trigger audible and visual warnings to drivers about the hidden car. Jaguar says that the system could also be applied to emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles would broadcast a signal to alert drivers well before the lights and sirens get their attention. This would give emergency vehicles a faster, safer path through traffic.
Jaguar Land Rover launches Pivotal subscription service
Fri, Jul 3 2020Two years ago, Jaguar Land Rover launched a subscription service in the UK dubbed Carpe. The program was effectively a 12-month lease with no deposit and no mileage limit, and an all-inclusive monthly payment covering insurance, tax, service, and repairs. For GBP910 ($1,134 U.S.) plus the cost of fuel every month, a subscriber could secure a Jaguar E-Pace at the bottom end, a payment of GBP2,200 ($2,741 U.S.) per month opening the doors to a Range Rover Sport. In between, the Range Rover Evoque cost GBP980, the Jaguar XE GBP1,200, the Range Rover Velar GBP1,255, and Land Rover Discovery GBP1,550. The numbers and customer feedback have encouraged JLR to turn Carpe into Pivotal, with new lease levels, terms, and restrictions. Instead of keeping a vehicle for 12 months, Pivotal subscribers pay GBP550 to join, then swap out every six months. Changing cars early incurs a GBP250 fee, or customers can request to stick with the vehicle they have beyond six months, but JLR reserves the right to switch out cars when necessary. Pivotal keeps tabs to the odometer, too — instead of unlimited driving, the program caps fee-free travel at 1,500 miles per month, 20 pence per mile after that. However, the FAQ section explains that "mileage is accumulative so do not worry if you do not use your full mileage allowance, the first month can be carried on into the next within a given vehicle."Â Carpe's six levels have been reduced to four Pivotal tiers. Blue costs GBP750 ($934 U.S.) per month and offers access to the Jaguar F-Pace, Land Rover Discovery Sport, or Range Rover Evoque, clearly a much better deal than GBP910 for an E-Pace (and we like the E-Pace). Indigo runs GBP1,150 ($1,433 U.S.) for the choice of a Jaguar I-Pace, Range Rover Velar, or Land Rover Discovery. Violet, costing GBP1,350 ($1,682 U.S.), comes with just one vehicle for now, the Range Rover Sport. Same goes for Ultraviolet at GBP1,600 ($1,993 U.S.), which gets the Range Rover. The brand already has plans to expand the fleet with the new Defender, and plug-in hybrid versions of the Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque The only noted repair item not covered is windshield replacement, which carries a GBP150 deductible. The splashy rework in England comes shortly after Mercedes-Benz shuttered its Collection service here in the U.S. On trial for two years in Nashville, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, Collection couldn't get the traction Mercedes wanted.
