Clean 2004 Land Rover Discovery Ii Se7 One-owner Rust Free Ca Disco Seven Seater on 2040-cars

Year:2004 Mileage:118100
Location:

San Mateo, California, United States

Remarkably clean 2004 Land Rover Discovery Series II. This is a sough-after SE7 model fully loaded with all amenities except DVD. This Discovery is a SEVEN PASSENGER model, with the dual extra seats in rear, dual Power sunroofs and rear AC system.

The 04' DII  was the last year of the Discovery Series ( only 2003 and 2004 received the 4.6L engine and suspension upgrade and revised front end and taillights. The 2004 is the desired model to own, specially one in the SE-7 configuration with seven-seat capacity). No "death-range" engine issues and other drama endemic to all 2003 models. for those who do not know, Land Rover had a serious problem with the vast majority of 03' DIIs due to a defect in the block. This was finally done away with in 2004.

This Land Rover is and has been a 100% rust-free CALIFORNIA CAR all of its life. It has been locally owned since purchased brand-new at Land Rover of San Jose in the south bay, and owned by the same person since. NEVER in any accidents, repaints, or anything other than normal driving conditions around the Bay area, where it has always lived.

ALL Power accessories work well, to include its DUAL Air Conditioning system ( front and rear AC), both Power sunroofs, all Power windows, both Power heated seats, the cruise control, and all instruments and lights. There are NO service lights on ( NO TC, CHECK ENGINE, ABS or MC lights turned off or reset). The DII has 118K original miles on its 4.6L engine. I have documented service records including recent maintenance and service going back to 2008; unfortunately, any prior records are no longer saved by Land Rover beyond that point ( I called to ask if it would be possible to retrieve  older service copies).

The Service Engine Soon light comes on and off and although it runs well, I believe it is due for head-gasket repair, as it has never been done up to this point. The temp went up a couple of times to 3/4 then back to the middle (where it's supposed to be), and occasionally it gets a clicking at idle, which they ALL do, regardless of mileage. It occurs at random, and not constant.

Taking that into consideration, it has been priced accordingly. It is remarkably clean, and the photos do not do it justice~! The 2004 SE7 is the top of the line and it is the one to have. It would make a great traveler or off-road  trekker with the engine work addressed.

PLEASE NOTE: This DII will be sold with the factory-optional HURRICANE 18" spoked-alloy wheels mounted on, NOT with the ones pictured. See the last photo; for those familiar with Land Rover Discovery IIs, you will see that these are the nicer ones to have. They were a fairly pricey option at the time. In addition, they have nearly-new FALKEN 18" radial tires on them, with at least 90% tread left in all.

Feel free to EM or call with questions or serious inquiries. I can be reached directly at (650) 430-4660 no later than 2100 PST, please.

The DII has always been a one-owner Land Rover since new, and has always been here locally. SPOTLESS CARFAX REPORT, along with documented service records and original-ownership since new. NON-SMOKER, NO pets or children in it. Always adult-owned.

Overall, a clean, 100% RUST-FREE DII, with better than average miles, in an awesome color combination and an SE-7 to boot. It would be a great opportunity for someone to fix up. E

Even though this Discovery is already priced way below market value ( I have run the KBB with miles and all deductions, and it books for over $9,000), I am willing to consider a serious offer. NO sob stories please.

I am glad to assist with NATIONWIDE or OVERSEAS delivery at the most economical shipping rate available. I can do all coordination from here, and you can pay the transport cost directly to the shipper upon delivery of the Discovery II.

Should you be the winning bidder, I would like to receive payment within THREE business days, please. Cashiers check or Bank draft are preferred. Personal, business or annuity checks may be utilized, but must clear funds source prior to any transportation arrangements being made. Another option is a Bank wire transfer to my local CHASE Bank branch here in town. That expedites the process considerably and allows for faster shipping arrangements.

Upon receipt of payment, I will overnight the title, registration card, bill of sale and all service records to the winning bidder.

         Thank you for your interest~!

Jaguar Land Rover to skip 2016 Detroit Auto Show

Mon, Nov 23 2015

Jaguar Land Rover won't attend the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January because the automaker will shift its focus to other international shows instead, the company confirmed to Autoblog. "Following a review of our global consumer engagement program, the decision has been made not to exhibit at the Detroit show in 2016," said a company spokesperson told Autoblog. The story was first reported by Automotive News. JLR will continue to attend other US auto shows in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles; plus those abroad in Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris, Beijing, and Shanghai. "We recognize that the Detroit show is a world-class Tier 1 auto show, however, we have had to make this decision to sharpen our focus as indicated," the spokesperson said. Detroit Auto Show PR Manager Max Muncey told Autoblog that the organizers already knew JLR wouldn't be there. "We are in discussions with other automakers to fill that spot," he said about using the open space. The show expects 70 percent of the floor plan in 2016 to be different from last year. The automaker used the 2015 Detroit Auto Show to announce diesel versions for several models, and it revealed the name for the Jaguar F-Pace there. JLR reportedly now has a plan to cut the equivalent of $6.8 billion in costs without firing workers and increase production to a million annual deliveries by the end of the decade. Related Video:

Jaguar F-Type SVR and Range Rover Evoque Convertibles go rainbow for Pride

Sat, Jun 29 2019

BMW isn't the only automobile company getting involved in Pride Week, as Jaguar Land Rover announced it also has cars that will participate. And yes, they're convertibles with rainbow stripes. On Sunday, June 30, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will participate in the NYC Pride March with several themed vehicles and employees walking next to them. JLR chose two of its most intriguing vehicles in the Jaguar F-Type SVR convertible and the Range Rover Evoque Convertible. Jaguar unveiled two different F-Type SVRs, one in a gorgeous blue and the other in white. Both cars have the same detailing, though, including rainbow stripes on the the sides, rear bumpers, and hoods. The F-Types also have rainbow stripes across the tops of their windshields, and "JAG YOU ARE" decals across the windshields and rear bumpers. The silver Evoque is only slightly different. It, too, has rainbow stripes across its doors, rear bumper, and windshield. Rather than a "JAG YOU ARE" decal, however, "EVOQUE" is spread across the front bumper in rainbow lettering. You can check out these unique models at the Pride parade in NYC.

Jaguar Land Rover reportedly developing Road Rover car

Tue, Sep 26 2017

Reports are circulating in the automotive media that Jaguar Land Rover is developing a vehicle that's not an SUV. Called the Road Rover, it would be an all-electric luxury car with "some" all-terrain capability, hinting at all wheel drive. Initially, the EV would launch in late 2019, then spawn more models to complete the lineup. There is also talk about JLR's interest in an outright purchase of an existing luxury car brand to join its portfolio, and that parent company Tata has already given this strategic move the green light. Tata has also reportedly made moves to protect its JLR ownership via acquiring more of its own stock. All this excitement brings to mind the fact that there once existed an actual Road Rover — the Rover brand. Having evolved into MG Rover before going into administration in 2005 and subsequently reborn in China under SAIC Motor ownership, Rover was a moderately posh British carmaker just beneath the level of prestige that Jaguar offered. For some years, both were part of the same corporation. The last Rover saloons were designed and built with BMW input, and at that point Land Rover had already become part of Ford, almost a decade after Jaguar did. Ford's tenure with Land Rover lasted from 2000 to 2008, when Tata bought the British brand — along with the Rover name. Would it just make sense to badge the road car Rover, with no Road or Land affixed to it? Rover's slovenly demise is more than a decade old now, but there's plenty of valuable history still embedded in the long-shelved Viking ship logo. Cast aside memories of Sterling-badged Honda Legend platform siblings and unattractively Federalized SD1 series cars, and take whatever good the 1999-2005 Rover 75 brought to the table — maybe it's time for Rover to be reborn in the current Jaguar Land Rover family. According to Autocar, the first Road Rover would be developed in tandem with the next-generation Jaguar XJ, so they would share an aluminum architecture suitable for both internal combustion engines and battery electric technology, depending of the model. If anything, there is delicious irony to this: The 1980s XJ generation that Jaguar spent decades developing was claimed to be engineered in such a way that the occasional stablemate Rover's Buick-derived 3,5-liter V8 wouldn't have fit in its engine bay — to preserve the Jaguar bloodline. To have the new XJ and a Rover cross paths again would only be fitting. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
