2004 Land Rover Discovery II S 2004 Land Rover Discovery II S – Trail Built and Well Maintained 4.6L 4554cc 278Cu. In. V8 Gas OHV Naturally Aspirated – Automatic Transmission Sunroof, 4-Wheel Drive, Leather Seats, CD Player, Anti-Lock Brakes, Airbags This Truck has it all. Mechanically one of the best Rovers on the road. In Feb 2014, it was fully inspected bumper to bumper and maintained by Rovers Unlimited in Houston TX. There are a few dings congruent with an off-road vehicle visible in photos. But this truck is a beautiful machine and still gets parked at the Valet. All electrical works perfectly, which is huge for Land Rovers. Head Gaskets have been rebuilt (2011) and the ABS modulator is in top working order. Drive Shaft is upgraded to Tom Woods Drive Shaft in Rear. These are keys to getting a good Land Rover and have all been done correctly and recently. This Rover has been babied and completely cared for. My family and I have loved it, kids love the state parks and camping and it can hit all the off road trails. This is a 2004 Disco which means it is the only model with a locking diff switch, another key to off-roading or ice conditions. Mine is working perfectly. And it has the 4.6L V8 which is highly sought after by Rover enthusiast. Everything works, sunroofs are operational and weather tight, headliner has been changed and all drains recently sealed. I have full history of maintenance. Originally purchased in California and modified by well-known Rover builder Elvis Kniss. All major receipts come with Rover. Jaguar Land Rover won't get a bailout from the UK

Sun, Aug 16 2020

Bailout talks between Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Steel with the UK government have ended, leaving both firms to rely on private financing to overcome the impact of coronavirus on business, the Financial Times reported on Friday. The report said that talks for an emergency funding fell through as Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) did not qualify for taxpayer support. It is the luxury car unit of India's Tata Motors and Tata Steel, both owned by Indian conglomerate Tata Group. The bailout plan, titled "Project Birch", had been authorized by Finance Minister Rishi Sunak in May to rescue companies that are seen as strategically important, with the Treasury saying it may step in to support crucial businesses on a "last resort" basis after other options run out. The report, citing a source familiar with the matter, said that the funding scheme became infeasible for Tata as it imposed strict conditions on any lending. "Tata Steel remains in ongoing and constructive talks with the UK Government on areas of potential support," Tata Steel said in an emailed statement. The UK Treasury said it would not comment on individual companies. Tata Motors did not immediately respond to request for comment. Jaguar Land Rover may build factory in Saudi Arabia

Tue, 11 Dec 2012

The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing markets for Land Rover, so it makes sense that the automaker is looking to set up shop in the region. According to Automotive News, Jaguar Land Rover is in talks with the people of Saudi Arabia to build a factory in the country at an expected initial cost of $1.2 billion. Still in the early stage of talks, the proposed facility could start up by 2017 using locally sourced materials such as steel and aluminum.
Such an arrangement could be beneficial for both entities as Saudi Arabia looks to diversify its oil-reliant economy and Land Rover could get local production capacity of around 50,000 units. The report also says that the agreement talks about the possibility for Jaguar models to be built at the same plant further down the road.
This won't be the first vehicle produced in Saudi Arabia - that honor goes to the KSU Gazal-1 - but it will be the first from a major global automaker.
