2003 Land Rover Discovery Se Sport Utility 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Willowbrook, Illinois, United States
UseD 2003 Land Rover discovery. Green exterior tan leather interior. Owned since 2005. Purchased with around 28,000 miles. Purchased from Land Rover dealer in Illinois. Well taken care of car. Approximate 134,000 miles. We got a new car that's where we are selling. The heat and air conditioning work. The tires and brakes are at about 20%. The mechanic did a head gasket seal repair job approximately two years ago. Cost around $2000. The driver seat does have a small hole in the leather from a malfunction of the seat heater, My wife said the drivers side seat heater is not working properly. May need a new fuse ? There is a small crack in the windshield that has been there for a while. Not getting any bigger. The door to the gas cap is a loose and needs a little adjusting to stay closed. The car does not blow smoke. Transmission runs good and shifts good. The body does have some expected dings and scratches for having 134,000 miles on it. Overall the interior looks very good for a high mileage car. My wife did take care this car. On the roof of the car you may see some scratches on the paint as our garage was a little on the short side and the arm bracket would occasionally hit the roof of the car. You do not notice this in driving but it's there. Both sunroofs work. No leaks. No accidents. It does have a tow package, however the wiring harness connector for trailer may need to be fixed. I tried to tow something once but I don't think I wired the harness properly, an easy fix. Car is used in with 134,000 miles, being sold as is condition. Can ship but buyer has to arrange and pay for shipping and payment must be cleared prior to shipping car. Clear title in hand. Thanks for looking And happy bidding.

Jaguar Land Rover's InMotion takes a stab at carsharing
Wed, Apr 13 2016Jaguar Land Rover's new InMotion mobility business aims to capitalize on the growing carsharing boom and develop other forms of alternative transportation. The first pilot programs kick off in the coming months in North America, Europe, and Asia. JLR owns InMotion, but the company acts independently from the automaker. "As a start-up business, InMotion combines the flexibility and pace needed to compete in the ever-changing mobility sector. It allows us to react quickly to new tech and ever-changing customer demands," Adrian Hallmark, JLR's Group Strategy Director, said in a statement. The 30-person firm intends to develop its own answers to upcoming transport problems and also invest in entrepreneurs to develop those solutions. InMotion isn't yet providing many details about what projects the firm expects to tackle, but the Website mentions carsharing and on-demand delivery services. Establishing InMotion shows that JLR doesn't want to fall behind the current trends in the auto industry. Practically every major automaker is currently pursuing future transportation ideas. For example, Ford recently took a very similar approach when it spun off Smart Mobility into a separate startup. BMW also rebranded its DriveNow carsharing service into ReachNow to also add a future ridesharing service. Jaguar Land Rover opens new $1.6 billion factory in Slovakia
Thu, Oct 25 2018BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — Jaguar Land Rover is opening a new, $1.6 billion plant in Slovakia, the luxury car maker's first in continental Europe. The U.K.-based company, owned by India's Tata Motors, built the plant near Nitra, about 65 miles east of Bratislava, to initially produce 150,000 cars a year. The Slovak government is giving the carmaker investment subsidies of up to 130 million euros ($148 million). Slovakia is a regional car-making powerhouse. Germany's Volkswagen AG, France's PSA Peugeot Citroen and South Korea's Kia Motors all have a major plant in this Central European country of 5.4 million people. The company said it will shift all production of its Discovery model from Birmingham, England, to Slovakia amid falling diesel sales, vehicle taxes and uncertainty about Britain's Brexit departure from the European Union.Related Video:
Here's today's round of auto plant closures in response to coronavirus
Fri, Mar 20 2020More automakers have shuttered factories, as businesses everywhere work to slow the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus — and as the pandemic slows sales and disrupts parts supply chains. On Friday, the following closures were announced: • Volvo will close its factories in Sweden and the United States from March 26 to April 14. Volvo's U.S. facility, in Charleston, South Carolina, makes the S60 sedan. Its assembly plant in Torslanda, Sweden, turns out the XC90, SC60, and V90. Other Swedish facilities make engines and component parts. A Volvo factory in Ghent, Belgium, that builds the XC40 and V60 closed earlier this week and is expected to remain offline until April 6. Volvo's four factories in China have been reopened after a shutdown earlier this year. • Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will suspend production at its assembly plants in the UK over the coming week. The shutdown is expected to last until April 20. Elsewhere, production continues at the company's factories in India and Brazil, and JLR's joint-venture plant in China reopened at the end of February. • Bentley is closing its factory in Crewe, England, for four weeks, effective today. • Bugatti has put its atelier in Molsheim, France, on hiatus. No date was given for when assembly of its supercars might resume. • Mercedes-Benz on Monday will shut down its SUV factory in Alabama and its van assembly plant in South Carolina. Both will remain closed for a minimum of two weeks. Tesla yesterday revealed that it will suspend operations at its Fremont, California, vehicle assembly plant next week, on order from local officials there. Yesterday's factory closure announcements also included the U.S. assembly plants for Toyota (until April 6), Volkswagen (through March 29), Subaru (through March 29), and Hyundai (no time period specified). They join GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Nissan, and Harley-Davidson, which earlier this week announced the suspension of production at their facilities.
