This is a 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE with 108K (that’s just at 10K per year)

This a an ALL WHEEL DRIVE/ FOUR WHEEL DRIVE Land Rover

It’s a five seater not a seven, That means the whole back end is open for what you buy a SUV for, not folding up seats you never use taking up space you need.

It has two huge storage compartment (see picture) where the “In The Way Seats” would try and fold away to. If you have looked at Discoveries and the seven seater you know what I’m saying.

It Black with Camel interior

It has all the usual Discovery stuff, but beings it an HSE you get elevating air bag in the back. You can raise the back of the Discovery 10 inches when off road. When you get back on road or exceed 15 mph the Discovery goes back to its normal ride adjustment level.

You get a 12volt DC plug in the back cargo area. You get a heated front windshield. Not a defrosted windshield. This has tiny wires in the front windshield that heats the front windshield and clears it.

You get front head light washers.

Back up sensors

Tow package

Hill decent braking,

Rear seat cup holders

Rear seat is 60/40 (See picture)

Heated front seats

The list just goes on and on

The HSE is the best equipped Discovery of the four lines of Discovery

I need to (don’t want to) sell this HSE because I’m moving.

I will pay to have it moved with me before I’ll give it away

It has HID (6000) low beams, high beams and fog lights

The interior lights have been replaced with LED’s (See picture of interior)

Added for backing two halogen back up lights (See picture)

I have replaced:

  • ECU
  • Main Under Hood Fuse Block
  • Ignition Switch
  • Radio
  • Amp
  • Back Door Sub Speakers
  • Blower Motor
  • Blower Motor Resistor
  • Front Windshield Cowling

Installed New:

  • All for Wheels Brakes Rotors (crossed drilled and slotted (see pictures)
  • All for Wheels Ceramic Pads
  • Oil Pan gasket
  • All Four o2 Sensors
  • Head Liner
  • Both Catalytic Converters
  • Keyless Entry Key (you’ll also get two valet key)
  • Front Drivers Door Regulator
  • Front Drivers Door Motor
  • Front Passengers Door Regulator
  • Front Passengers Door Motor
  • Purge valve
  • All Four Ball Joints
  • MAF Sensor
  • All four U Joints Replaced (both front and rear axles)
  • Spark Plug Wires (18mm)
  • Plugs
  • Both Coil Blocks
  • Both Front Drive Line Seals

Yes I was going to keep it…but now all this work goes to you…..

I took off the oversize off road front grill lights. They’ll be in the Discovery when you get it.

All the plugs and mounting hardware is there, Supper easy to put back on. I just didn't like them.

You’ll even get the original factory owners manuals.

Both front and back drive lines have been rebalanced.

Oil change 300 miles ago Castrol synthetic 10/30

All four wheels have been remounted, balance and rotated (three weeks ago)

Per Discount Tire/American (depending on where you live) all four tires have better that 50% left on them

As you can see in one of the pictures the front bumper is cracked. I inherited it that way. Just hadn’t gotten there yet to replace it.

Questions about the paint and its finish?

This can be answered by looking at the pictures. The reflection tells the whole story on that.

I one weekend about two months ago I buffed  out  the Discovery with Maguire’s  Swirl remover #9, then polished it with  #7 and two coats of mirror glaze #26. And. that’s what you end up with.

The interior has its usual wear stuff going on….

When shooting the picture for this, we here in Phoenix had our first 100 degree plus weekend.

Took out the laser thermometer to show you the outside temp and then what was blowing out the vents…

I think that question is now answered by other than “The AC blows cold”.

This is a daily driver so the mileage will be a bit different than that of the mileage in the picture.

This sold has is where is with NO implied warranty or guarantees

This Discovery will be sold with no refunds.

Got question ask…dutchrice@yahoo.com   or call me (480) 433-6133

You will also get the name and phone number of the mechanic that assisted me to ask questions as the solidness of this Discovery.

I am selling this on other platforms and adversments. I will pull this listing as soon as someone comes up the magic number.

I will not ship, but I’ll assist you how I can.

I use a really good car shipper

Weekly Recap: Chrysler forges ahead with new name, same mission

Sat, Dec 20 2014

Chrysler is history. Sort of. The 89-year-old automaker was absorbed into the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles conglomerate that officially launched this fall, and now the local operations will no longer use the Chrysler Group name. Instead, it's FCA US LLC. Catchy, eh? Here's what it means: The sign outside Chrysler's Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters says FCA (which it already did) and obviously, all official documents use the new name, rather than Chrysler. That's about it. The executives, brands and location of the headquarters aren't changing. You'll still be able to buy a Chrysler 200. It's just made by FCA US LLC. This reinforces that FCA is one company going forward – the seventh largest automaker in the world – not a Fiat-Chrysler dual kingdom. While the move is symbolic, it is a conflicting moment for Detroiters, though nothing is really changing. Chrysler has been owned by someone else (Daimler, Cerberus) for the better part of two decades, but it still seemed like it was Chrysler in the traditional sense: A Big 3 automaker in Detroit. Now, it's clearly the US division of a multinational industrial empire; that's good thing for its future stability, but bittersweet nonetheless. Undoubtedly, it's an emotion that's also being felt at Fiat's Turin, Italy, headquarters as the company will no longer officially be called Fiat there. Digest that for a moment. What began in 1899 as the Societa Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino – or FIAT – is now FCA Italy SpA. In a statement, FCA said the move "is intended to emphasize the fact that all group companies worldwide are part of a single organization." The new names are the latest changes orchestrated by CEO Sergio Marchionne, who continues to makeover FCA as an international automaker that has ties to its heritage – but isn't tied down by it. Everything from the planned spinoff of Ferrari, a new FCA headquarters in London and the pending demise of the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2016 has shown that the company is willing to move quickly, even if it's controversial. While renaming the United States and Italian divisions were the moves most likely to spur controversy, FCA said other regions across the globe will undergo similar name changes this year. Despite the mixed emotions, it's worth noting: The name of the merged company that oversees all of these far-flung units is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Obviously the Chrysler corporate name isn't completely history.

Jaguar Land Rover to cut more U.K. jobs as it moves Discovery output to Slovakia

Mon, Jun 11 2018

LONDON — Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is set to cut more jobs in Britain as it moves all production of its Discovery car to lower-cost Slovakia before building its new Range Rover at an English factory. Britain's biggest automaker, JLR has previously said its next-generation Discovery will be built at its Slovakia plant and on Monday announced there could be some job cuts in Britain as a result. "The potential losses of some agency employed staff in the UK is a tough one but forms part of our long-term manufacturing strategy as we transform our business globally," the company said in a statement. Moving production from Britain will slash several thousands of pounds off the cost per vehicle, the firm's Chief Finance Officer Ken Gregor said last year. The new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will however be built at the firm's central English Solihull plant on an architecture which is designed to allow for diesel, petrol, electric and hybrid models to be produced. Monday's announcement comes after the firm said this year it will cut 1,000 jobs and reduce production at two of its English factories as demand for diesel cars slumps in the face of higher taxes and a regulatory crackdown. The firm has also blamed Brexit for hitting demand in Europe's second-largest autos market, where demand fell 6 percent last year, a source told Reuters in April. JLR said in January it would decide this year whether to build electric cars in its home market after announcing all of its new cars will be available in an electric or hybrid version from 2020. The company, owned by India's Tata Motors, builds nearly one in three of Britain's 1.7 millions cars but is producing its first electric vehicle, the I-Pace, in Austria. JLR's new factory in the Slovak city of Nitra is due to begin production by the end of the year and will have a capacity of up to 300,000 vehicles. It already employs 1,400 people there as it gears up to open. In Britain, the firm built just over 530,000 vehicles last year at three production facilities and also has a separate engine site and headquarters, employing roughly 40,000 people in total. Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood

Fri, 29 Nov 2013

Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.
