2002 Land Rover Discovery Ii Se Performance Pkg on 2040-cars
Duluth, Georgia, United States
I'm selling my 2002 Land Rover Discovery II SE Performance Package. It is white on tan. I'll list what is has and let the pics do the rest of the talking. You'll notice this car has been kept very clean and very well maintained. It does have a rebuilt title, but the accident was very very minor. When you come check out the car I'll point it out to you, otherwise you would never notice. All body panels and paint is original, even the grill guard (front end accident). The pictures I've uploaded are before the car was fixed to verify how minor the bumper bump was. This car does not need anything and is ready to go and continue being and excellent, safe vehicle to drive. Everything is fully operational, and the tires are still in amazing condition. The gas tank is currently almost full also :) You can always call/text for more info 678) five08- five992 Key Details: Vin: SALTY12412A742764 159,xxx Miles 8 Cylinder Engine Gasoline 4 Speed Automatic Transmission 4 wheel drive (High and Low) Installed Options: Roof Rack Running Boards (Steps) Rear Jump Seats (They are removed currently) Rear Window Sun Shades Front Grill/Brush Guard 12 Speakers 4-Wheel Disc Brakes ABS brakes AM/FM radio Air Conditioning Alloy wheels Auto-dimming Rear-View mirror Automatic temperature control Bumpers: body-color Cassette Compass Delay-off headlights Driver door bin Driver vanity mirror Driver's Seat Mounted Armrest Dual front impact airbags Front Bucket Seats Front Center Armrest Front Cup-holders Front anti-roll bar Front and Rear dual zone A/C Front fog lights Front reading lights Garage door transmitter: Homelink Genuine wood dashboard insert Genuine wood door panel insert Headlight cleaning Heated door mirrors Ignition disable Illuminated entry Leather Seat Trim Leather Shift Knob Leather steering wheel Outside temperature display Overhead console Passenger door bin Passenger seat mounted armrest Passenger vanity mirror Power door mirrors Power driver seat Dual Power moonroof Power passenger seat Power steering Power windows Premium audio system Radio data system Rear anti-roll bar Rear fog lights Rear seat center armrest Rear window defroster Rear window wiper Remote CD player Remote keyless entry Security system Speed control Split folding rear seat Steering wheel mounted audio controls Tachometer Tilt steering wheel Traction control Variably intermittent wipers Weather band radio I'm asking $4,500 obo on CL even though I know it is worth more to make a rather quick sale. All offers considered, but low offers will be declined. Whoever make a reasonable offer and pays first gets the car If this needs to be shipped, I will assist in any way needed. I can even get you quotes to help if you would like. Inspections are welcome, just make an appointment as I'm a busy man. Evenings are usually best. While I prefer cash, I'll consider trades if it is in my benefit. I prefer BMW's, especially M's but whatever it is it needs to be manual unless it is a truck! A Ford F250 super or larger truck 98 or newer is considerable also, but it must be a dually and have a turbo diesel motor. Rebuilt titles are ok depending on the vehicle and condition. Land Rover Defender V8 vs. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 | V8 4x4s square off on paper
Thu, Feb 25 2021Land Rover pulled the sheet off its 2022 Defender on Wednesday, introducing another high-performance V8 to the off-road segment. This time, it's a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 boasting 518 horsepower. It will be available in both the Defender 90 and 110 models. In the former, Land Rover says it can crack off a 0-60 run in just 4.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 149 mph. The long-wheelbase 110 will be a bit slower, but "slow" probably isn't the right adjective to use here at all. But Land Rover isn't the only automaker offering a high-performance variant of its off-road SUV. While Jeep may have been sneered at for presenting the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 on the heels of the 2021 Ford Bronco's introduction, it starts to make a lot more sense in this context. There's reportedly a high-output Bronco on the way, too, so call Jeep the dinosaur of the group all you want, but you can't put a price on being first. Well, you can, actually, but that's not the point. Thankfully, both Land Rover and Jeep have provided enough specs for us to rough out a comparison chart. Since the Rubicon 392 is offered only in four-door guise, we're looking at the long-wheelbase Defender 110 as its direct competitor here. Have a look: There are a few caveats to mention off the top. For starters, we don't have an official curb weight for the V8-powered Defender yet, as Land Rover has not finalized its U.S. specs. We used the European figures (as provided by a spokesperson), which we expect to be accurate within about 50 pounds. The 0-60 time provided by Land Rover was for the Defender 90, which is smaller and somewhat lighter than the 110. When equipped with the inline-6, the Defender 110 is about a tenth of a second slower to 60 than the Defender 90, so we figure it should be roughly the same for the V8. While the Defender has nearly 50 horsepower on the Wrangler, that advantage disappears thanks to the Land Rover V8's monster weight penalty, which will fall somewhere between 600 and 700 pounds depending on equipment. Yikes. On the flip side, however, the Land Rover has the edge in top speed, and it's not even close. Chalk that up to the tires, we suspect. We know for a fact that the Rubicon 392's all-terrains dictate its speed limiter; Jeep's own engineers told us as much. This could make for a (hypothetically) interesting drag race, as the Jeep's advantage off the line may evaporate once triple digits come into play.
Check out King Charles III's $17.6 million car collection
Fri, May 5 2023King Charles III's coronation will take place in England on May 6, and being crowned a monarch comes with a long list of perks with four wheels. He will gain full access to the Royal Family's fleet of cars, which is valued at about GBP14 million (approximately $17.6 million). The two most expensive cars in the collection are nearly identical: they're a pair of Bentley State Limousine models (pictured) built for Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III's mother, in 2002. Only two units were made, and they're both part of the Royal Family's fleet, so they're difficult to put a value on; it's not like one is going to end up listed on your favorite auction site anytime soon. British company Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, which compiled the list, estimates that each armored, 245-inch long sedan is worth at least GBP10,000,000 (roughly $12.6 million). Dropping below the eight-digit threshold, the second-most-valuable car in the Royal Family's fleet isn't really a car. It's the Gold State Coach, which Matchbox recently released a 1/64-scale replica of, and its value is estimated at GBP1.6 million (about $2 million). At 275 inches long it's even bigger than the Bentley limousine and it weighs about 9,000 pounds. It's 261 years old and designed to be pulled by eight horses, and has been part of every coronation since 1831. The rest of the Royal Family's vehicles are relatively mundane. There's a 1965 Aston Martin DB6 Volante that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Phillip, bought for King Charles III on his 21st birthday. It's worth GBP1 million (about $1.2 million). The collection also includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom VI (about $627,000), a Bentley Bentayga (about $201,000), a Land Rover Range Rover long-wheelbase Landaulet ($133,000), a Jaguar XE (about $41,000), and a Land Rover Defender ($38,000). "Luxury cars have long been associated with the monarch and King Charles III, in particular, is known for his fondness of motor vehicles. His impressive collection features sentimental value with motors passed down from his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, to cars bought for him by his parents," explained Keith Hawes, the director of Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, in an interview with CBS News. Being at the head of a car-making nation's royal family also comes with drawbacks: Every vehicle in King Charles III's fleet is British.
Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
