Hello and welcome to my auction for my beloved Land Rover Defender 110.

I have spent a lot of time & money restoring this factory original 1988 Defender 110 CSW. I imported this vehicle from the UK this September (2013) with the intention of keeping it for the foreseeable future, however we received the fantastic news (as soon as it was shipped) that we are expecting a baby.

For that reason I am reluctantly having to sell my beautiful Defender. I will be very sad to see her go & truly hope she finds a great home.

Vehicle Details:

Legally Imported 1988 Land Rover Defender 110 County Station Wagon. 106,000 miles, Factory original 3.5L V8 engine with matching LT85 5 speed manual transmission (regarded as a very heavy duty gearbox)

Full coat of wax oyl to protect the chassis.

New 16" black challenger wheels installed a month ago.

New Sony CD player with Aux jack (can play your ipod/iphone), with electric arial.
New Cubby Box installed.
New tubural sidesteps installed.
Two full sets of keys.

Overview:

A great vehicle to drive and a real head turner. Everyone stops and has a chat about this Defender - even at the gas station :-). Mechanically in great condition with no issues. Bodywork in great condition for year (a few very small blemishes here & there.) Since shipping over the pond the door hinges are showing some very slight rust stains (easy replacement). Interior is in great condition for year.

Please note this is a 25 year old vehicle and is by no means a brand new defender. I have been as honest as possible. Please message me with any questions or call me on 239-682-7382. My name is Cristian.

110 is registered and has clear Title in Florida.
I also welcome any viewing & test drives.

Lots of paperwork to prove everything.

Please only Serious bidders/buyers. Strictly no time wasters.

Jaguar and Land Rover now offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Tue, Oct 23 2018

The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace will come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, and the connectivity feature comes as a roughly $300 option on select and appropriately equipped 2019 Jaguar and Land Rover models, the joint automaker said. It comes via Jaguar Land Rover's Smartphone Pack, which is available on all 2019 and future models, but with conditions. The car in question must have the 10-inch InControl Touch Pro touchscreen or split-touchscreen Touch Pro Duo infotainment systems, plus navigation, InControl Apps and Wi-Fi connectivity. Those are included on some upper trim levels and available as separate options on others. So basically, depending on trim level, you could be looking at a simple $300 add or a long-line of other extra charges just to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are other new features coming for the InControl Touch Pro system as well, including voice command for navigation, major graphic refreshes for certain screens, new shortcut buttons on the home screen for key navigation, media and phone functions, and changes to the user experience in the media screen. Jaguar and Land Rover first introduced the InControl Touch Pro for 2016, enabling users to learn whether they have enough fuel or battery range to get to a searched-for destination and share their destination, current location and ETA with others via email or text message when using the on-board nav system. The Touch Pro Duo first debuted on the 2018 Range Rover Velar and will be standard on the 2019 I-Pace electric crossover, plus the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. It features interlinked dual upper and lower touchscreens. In terms of the trim level availability mentioned earlier, a JLR spokesperson tells us that Smartphone Pack is available on all 2019 Jaguar F-Pace trim levels. It is available separately starting with the F-Pace Prestige trim level, but on the base F-Pace and Premium versions, you have to also get the optional Connect Pro Pack, Navigation Pro Pack, and traffic sign recognition and adaptive speed-limiter pack. Yes, it is a bit complicated. JLR recently released a touchscreen infotainment system designed to blend in with vintage models that retails for $1,796 before taxes. Jaguar Land Rover gets to work on new university R&D center

Fri, Mar 20 2015

Jaguar Land Rover has a raft of new products in the pipeline, from the new Defender to the next-generation XF sedan. But new product isn't the only thing the British automaker is investing in: it's also opening new facilities around the world, including what it's calling the National Automotive Innovation Centre back home in the UK. Based at the University of Warwick, the new $220-million R&D center is the result of a joint effort between JLR, its parent company Tata, the manufacturing arm of the university and the British government. The facility will bring together professionals from the automaker as well as its suppliers with academics to encourage, as the name suggests, innovation in the automotive sector. Its 355,000 square feet are earmarked to become the hub for Jaguar Land Rover's advanced research activities, including "workshops, laboratories, virtual engineering suites and advanced powertrain facilities, equipped to enable a full range of design, visualisation and prototyping activities." The cornerstore was just laid in a ceremony this week, but the facility isn't due to open until the Spring of 2017 when it will encompass some 1,000 employees, including 600 relocated by JLR to the new location from other sites in the UK. Land Rover wins legal battle over Evoque clone Land Wind X7

Fri, Mar 22 2019

Luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover, part of Tata Motors Ltd, said it won a case in China against local rival Jiangling Motors Corp for making cars that copy features of Range Rover Evoque. Beijing Chaoyang District Court said on Friday that Evoque, whose latest model was launched in 2018, had five unique features that were copied directly in the Land Wind X7 built by Jiangling Motors, leading to widespread consumer confusion. The court ruled that all sales, manufacturing and marketing of the Land Wind X7 must stop immediately and Jaguar Land Rover be paid compensation. The two sports utility vehicles have a similar shape, with the roof and windows tapering from front to back, and near-identical tail lights and character lines on the side panelling. Britain's biggest carmaker had sued Jiangling in a rare move in 2016. Despite widespread and often blatant copying, global automakers generally don't take legal action in China as they feel the odds of winning against local firms are low. Also, a lawsuit can be bad for branding if the Chinese public think a foreign company is bullying domestic competitors. The new Range Rover Evoque will be launched in China in April 2019. Jiangling could not be immediately reached for comment.
