Mint condition Land Rover 90 V8 EFI. It is an original factory built V8. This is a non-sunroof model, which is very, very rare. The benefit of this one is that the tops of the doors are removable (Series Land Rover Doors), so during the summer months they can be removed and stored ready for the next winter.
The engine was fully rebuilt in 2012. The rebuild consisted of a complete tear down, and rebuild with the addition of high lift cams, Ashcroft refurbished LT85 manual gearbox (newer generation), new clutch kit, new timing chain, followers, little ends and composite head gaskets. The rebuild also included an EFI conversion which was completed with all new parts (Mark Adams ECU and Air Flow Meter). This conversion make it incredibly fast, reliable and smooth to drive. I would describe this engine as being one of a kind, and the sound is like music to my ears. You can easily cruise at 80+ mph on the interstate which is a vast improvement from others you will see.
The paint and bodywork is pretty much perfect. I regularly wax the car, and all panels are completely blemish free. As I explained above, it has Series doors (early Land Rover generation). This was a decision and preference made again for living in a warmer climate, as the tops are removable. The doors themselves, rear included, are all like new. The only small point which could be criticized potentially is that there is some slight corrosion in each of the foot well plates under the mats, but nothing that needs addressing straight away by any means. This is also a very simple fix.
The Chassis and underneath of this 90 is like new (as per the attached pictures). It has never been welded and nor will it ever need to be if it is kept in the condition that it has been for all these years. I've had the car inspected on several occasions, and people have been amazed at the condition. Another nice point to note is that I've uprated the springs, so it sits 1.5 inches higher than stock.

Jaguar likely moving HQ to Britain's most iconic racetrack
Fri, Feb 26 2016Jaguar Land Rover looks increasingly likely to make Britain's iconic Silverstone race track the automaker's new headquarters. There isn't a final deal in place yet, but the British Racing Drivers' Club, which owns the circuit, plans to have the membership vote on whether the negotiations should move forward, according to Autosport. BRDC leaders already presented the plan to members, and they were open to the idea. "The response was favorable so we will now set up an EGM for the members to vote and give the board a mandate to proceed with the deal and continue with the negotiations with JLR," BRDC president Derek Warwick told Autosport. There's no guarantee yet that JLR actually completes the deal. "There's still a lot of work to do to get the deal to where both sides are happy and more importantly what's right for the BRDC and its members." Warwick said. Rumors in early December suggested JLR was among the firms submitting bids to purchase the track, and the automaker allegedly offered 22.7 million pounds ($34.1 million at the time) for it. The company would also reportedly invest nearly $80 million to renovate the site, including adding a museum, experience center, hotel, and offices. The track would still be open for motorsport, too. Silverstone has hosted the Formula One British Grand Prix many times over the decades, and organizers signed a 17-year deal in 2009 to keep things that way well into the future. Series like the FIA World Endurance Championship, MotoGP, and British Touring Car Championship also compete there. Related Video:
GM, Audi, Jaguar halt Russian sales amidst ruble's collapse
Fri, Dec 19 2014The value of Russia's ruble currency has sunk like a stone tossed in the Volga for much of the year, losing over 40 percent of its worth since June. The change is having bizarre effects on the auto industry there and leaving some automakers scrambling to adjust. According to Bloomberg, Russians are buying up luxury goods including automobiles at the moment to have a physical investment in case the ruble sinks further. However, with the money worth so little, the companies aren't making much from these transactions. Things are so dire that several automakers are temporarily ending deliveries until the situation stabilizes. According to Bloomberg, General Motors stopped sales on December 16 with no set date to start again. Audi did the same thing but with the intention to resume once it has adjusted model pricing. Jaguar Land Rover terminated business until December 19 to see how things changed. Toyota is increasing its pricing, as well, but keeping business open at the same time. Some automakers have subtly been reacting to the slumping Russian auto market all year. The moves have included Volkswagen cutting production by 30,000 units from its factory in Kaluga. Ford also got rid of 950 workers from two plants due to low demand. Some analysts have even speculated that the contracting industry and possibility of lower import duties into the country could cause companies to end their manufacturing in Russia completely.
