Lamborghini Accademia heading to Laguna Seca

If you want to learn how to get the most out of your Lambo, who better to teach you than Lamborghini itself. That's why the Bolognese automaker has launched the Lamborghini Accademia. Developed by the factory's Squadra Corse competition department, the Lamborghini Accademia is set up to show customers how to handle their supercars on a closed track and with the expert tutelage of factory instructors.
The trouble for American customers, though, is that the Accademia has (this year, at least) only held sessions at European tracks like Imola in Italy and Hockenheim in Germany. Not that the cost of a transatlantic flight would deter someone splurging six figures on a supercar, mind you, but we're glad to report now that the program is coming to North America for the first time.
Between September 14 and 17, the Lamborghini Accademia will be setting up shop at California's legendary Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. That's where instructors will run groups of 24 students through the finer points of slalom, acceleration, braking, drifting and section-by-section learning of the famous track, from the Andretti Hairpin to the famous Corkscrew... all from behind the wheel of the new Huracán LP 610-4. Not a bad place to experience the Raging Bull marque's latest creation, or a bad car in which to experience one of America's finest racing circuits.

Dan Neil pokes fun at the celeb cars of 2014

Look, we try really hard not to pay any attention to the Kardashians and their vapid reality TV empire. But, as troubling as that brood may be, occasionally we're impressed and/or horrified by their four-wheeled conveyances. In fact, that curiosity extends beyond talentless reality stars with rotund glutes to celebs in general. That's why we're enjoying Dan Neil's sometimes biting take on the celebrity cars of 2014. Besides paying tribute to Kim K, husband Kanye West and the adorable Lamborghini that their spawn rides about in, Neil also takes a look at LeBron James' turn as a Kia spokesman and boxer Floyd Mayweather's trio of Bugatti Veyrons. Matthew McConaughey is a focus of Neil's as well, thanks to his oft-panned advertisements for Lincoln (and the raucous parodies they inspired), before finishing on the high, with Jerry Seinfeld and his new Porsche 918 Spyder. Justin Bieber arrested for possible DUI, drag racing [w/video, UPDATE]

Pop star Justin Bieber was arrested early this morning in Miami Beach, FL with TMZ.com listing his charges as including driving under the influence, drag racing, resisting arrest and driving on an expired license. TMZ says that Bieber was stopped for street racing his Lamborghini Gallardo, then failing a field sobriety test, and is being charged with resisting arrest for "refusing to take his hands out of his pockets."
It's also being reported that Bieber was racing against rapper Khalil (also arrested) who seems to have been driving a Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider (although it was mistakenly called a "red Lambo" in the article). There is no additional information about the arrest of either men, but TMZ has obtained eyewitness video, which is posted below, that shows Bieber in his Lamborghini surrounded by fans and then later shows the car stopped by police officers.
UPDATE: As it turns out, the cars in question didn't actually belong to either Bieber or Khalil. We just received an email that indicates that both the Ferrari and the Lamborghini involved in the incident were rentals. The president of Lou La Vie, an exotic car rental outfit in Miami, is claiming ownership of both vehicles, though didn't provide any other significant information regarding the case.
