Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato could be bound for limited production

Lamborghini has been seriously upping its production overt the years. When Audi took over in the late 1990s, the company's production was measured in the 200-unit range. Now it's making over 2,000 cars every year. But at the same time, Sant'Agata has been focusing on low-volume production as well, with a separate assembly line dedicated to putting together concept cars and limited editions like the Sesto Elemento and Veneno. And now it may just have another on its hands.
That would be the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato, a unique coachbuilt supercar based on the Gallardo and unveiled last week at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Italy's glamorous Lake Como. It was commissioned as a one-off custom for noted Lambo and Zagato collector Albert Spiess, but reports suggest that it could be put into limited production.
The viability of the project would likely depend on how many orders the Italians might garner for an expanded production run. Whether the project would be undertaken at Lamborghini's special projects facility or off-site by Zagato remains to be seen, but you can bet it would fetch a pretty penny or two, despite the fact that the platform on which it's based is now over a decade old and has since been replaced by the newer Huracán.

World's largest Lamborghini dealer is in Dubai, because of course it is

Dubai is a place where supercars are so common, even the police drive them. So it's not at all surprising that Lamborghini would open its largest dealership ever in the city. The dealer is three stories tall and has over 19,000 square feet. That's a lot of space for cars, and according to Lamborghini's CEO, Stefano Domenicali, that space is needed, and perhaps other dealers will need to expand. In the release announcing the dealership's opening, he says Lamborghini expects its overall sales to double when the Urus launches this year. This will require more sales and service space. The Dubai Lamborghini dealer isn't just sales and service, though. In the photos above, you can clearly see that a large portion of real estate is dedicated to selling merchandise. Among the trinkets on sale are shirts, hats, keychains, mugs, and model cars. So regardless of your net worth, this dealer has something for you. Wrecked rental Lamborghini abandoned on Texas tollway

If you crashed and abandoned a $250,000 rented Lamborghini Gallardo on the side of the Dallas North Tollway Saturday night, the police would like to have a word with you. It appears that the Lamborghini hit a retaining wall before being dumped by the driver, according to WFAA. The supercar was found early Sunday morning with no identifying papers and no one around in the southbound lanes of the tollway. Police towed the vehicle. Exotic Skittles, an exotic car rental company in the Dallas area, confirmed that the crashed Lamborghini had been rented from them. The company's Facebook page prominently features a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo similar to the one left on the side of the road. It seems that yellow Gallardos can be a real problem on the high-end rental market; it was just last year that teen-idol and general Canadian roustabout Justin Bieber was arrested for committing various acts of bad driving in a similar model, in Florida.
