Watch a 1,000 hp twin-turbo Lamborghini Huracan dyno run
Thu, Apr 21 2016AMS/Alpha Performance, known for their Audi R8 V10 Alpha 10 Twin Turbo package, have laid their eager hands on the Lamborghini Huracan. In this short and sweet video, the newly improved prototype Huracan struts its stuff on the dynamometer. Like the Audi, the Huracan also gains a pair of Garrett ball bearing turbos coupled with intercoolers, and the car has been built as a prototype of their stage one turbo system. It is virtually identical to the production version of AMS's twin turbo package for the Huracan, and the system has been devised to be a bolt-on system. The AMS package can be shipped out to anyone in the Alpha dealer network and installation has been made straightforward enough. "There is no hacking or cutting up the car", says Alpha's VP and lead engineer, Arne Toman. "It has been designed to be safe for the stock engine and transmission, and the only driveline improvement is an upgraded clutch pack which we include in the package." With pump gas, the Huracan TT Alpha 10 has a Veyron-baiting 1,000 horsepower, with the fuel system "maxed out" according to Arne. The Stage 2 setup, which will include forged engine internals, will go for 1,500 hp, while the third stage package dishes out more than 2,000 horsepower according to AMS. The prototype Huracan will run at the Gold Rush Rally next month, from Boston to Los Angeles. It should be a proper shakedown to prove the car's reliability, which is one aspect AMS Performance has been going for. 2015 Lamborghini Hurac?n LP 610-4
Thu, 27 Feb 2014
We're comfortable ranking the new Lambo with a score of "Monica Bellucci" on the scale of Italian hotness.
We're fresh from the heart of the Lamborghini headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy, where Italian and German executives have been beaming like proud papas in front of their soon-to-debut Huracán LP 610-4. The successor to the ultra-successful Lamborghini Gallardo will have its coming out party at the Geneva Motor Show next week, but there's no need to wait any longer for the details of this hotly anticipated model.
Dave Lang lands 180 Rollerblade jump over Lamborghini, Bam Margera crashes it anyway
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Lending further credence to the internetism "This is why we can't have nice things," real-life court jester Bam Margera had a tough weekend with his Lamborghini Murciélago after letting rollerblader Dave Lang perform a 180-degree jump over it.
While the stunt seemed to go off without a hitch, a second video has emerged showing Margera attempting to back his Lamborghini convertible up. Despite the presence of side mirrors, the former Jackass host hits a Cadillac. The damage to the Murciélago appears largely cosmetic, although we highly doubt the error is going to come cheap.
There is some salty language in the video, although everything, even the subtitles, are bleeped out. We've got both videos below, so if you're in the mood for a little schadenfreude, feel free to take a look.
