First If you are not familiar with the differences between a standard 2006 and earlier Murcielago and the 2007 and
later LP640 models, the differences are significant and not just extra HP. This is the first model year when the
Audi influence becomes apparent. The entire vehicle is highly refined and for the first time becomes a super car
that can also be a daily driver. This particular LP640 is heavily optioned starting with its Balloon White paint
that is a $6500 option. The E Gear, a $10,000 option, if paddle shifting at an entirely new level. It makes
shifting completely effortless and still allows you to grab a handful of neck breaking horse power in a fraction of
a second. The transparent engine bonnet enables full view of the beautiful carbon laden engine compartment and is
well worth the $7020 price tag and the yellow brake calipers are a nice touch($805). The interior does not
disappoint and has the optional Q-Citura trim ($2100), leather roof lining($1040), Branding package($650) and last
but not least the Carbon Package($6500). This LP640 is also equipped with a top of the line in dash navigation
system with upgraded stereo. This LP640 has been tastefully upgraded with GFG 19" wheels up front and 20" in back.
Both wrapped with nearly new Pirelli P-Zeros. The only other upgrade was the addition of a custom bent, Super Car
Specialist stage 2 exhaust system. I love this car and this white on black color combination is the perfect
compliment to the striking geometry of this Italian masterpiece.
I love this car and hate to have to part with it. Unfortunately I am relocating outside the U.S. and the roads at
my next location are far from suitable for this fine vehicle. All service has been done in Dallas Texas by Norwood
Autocraft.

The Huracan Performante will be the fastest Lamborghini yet

Wed, Jan 25 2017

We expected the track-special Huracan you see above to be called Superleggera, as it's the lighter and more hard-core version of the little Lambo, but reports now confirm the name will be Performante. That's not the cool part. Thanks to a bunch of changes, including a new active aero system called ALA, this has the potential to be the fastest Lamborghini yet. That means faster than the Aventador SV, and quite possibly faster than the Porsche 918 Spyder. That measure of speed and world domination relates to the car's Nurburgring time, which hasn't been announced yet. We'll see the camouflage-free Performante first at the Geneva show in March, where it's likely the 'Ring time will be announced. What we know about it so far is very interesting, though. Motor Trend has driven a Performante prototype and provides a lot of details. Perhaps the coolest part, and the biggest facilitator for the extra speed, is the new active aero system called Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva. From MT's description, it sounds like it can "vector" airflow, opening and closing a flap on either side of the rear wing depending on which direction the car is turning. It also does away with heavy hydraulic rams in favor of electric motors to accomplish the active part. The car also gets a more powerful 5.2-liter V10 (around 30 more horsepower for a total of about 630), a weight reduction of about 90 pounds, upgrades suspension, stickier tires, and a retune of all electronic systems like those governing the transmission, ABS, traction control, and stability control. We'll bring you the full details on this monster Lamborghini track machine from Geneva in March. In the meantime, prepare yourself for a little Lambo that's quicker than its big brother – and pretty much every other production car out there. Transformers: The Last Knight promises a Lamborghini Centenario and lots of explosions

Wed, Dec 7 2016

The director of the Transformers series, Michael Bay, took to Twitter to reveal the trailer for the latest installment, Transformers: The Last Knight. Based on the trailer, it looks like the film will likely deliver everything Transformers fans of the series enjoy, including big explosions, big robots, and most interesting for us, cool cars. Although this particular trailer is a little light on the car action, careful examination reveals some nifty machines. There will be at least a few massive International trucks painted in drab military colors. We also spotted a new Mustang in police livery. The most exciting ride we spotted, though, is a Lamborghini Centenario – the $2.5 million limited-run supercar – tearing through what looks like London. Bumblebee also makes an appearance, though not in his custom Camaro form. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Speaking of Bumblebee, it looks like he, and pretty much everyone else in the film, is going to have a rough time. The trailer shows that Earth is without Optimus Prime now, and his body is shown floating through space. In the meantime, some object has come to Earth, and it appears to have started a fairly massive war between humanity and, we're guessing, the Decepticons. Optimus Prime does eventually return, but he seems to have become an enemy, and is fighting Bumblebee at the end of the trailer. However, the leader of the Autobots going bad is probably the least confusing part of the trailer, as it starts showing knights fighting a dragon, and then segues into clips of Nazi Germany, all before actually getting to the present day. We should get some answers when the film hits theaters on June 23, 2017. Jay Leno holds Lamborghini showdown, compares Gallardo LP570-4 and LP550-2

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

Jay Leno's Garage welcomes two of our favorite Lamborghini models over for compare-and-contrast session, the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and Gallardo LP550-2. Note, however, that these are the 2012 coupes, not the 2013 models with their revised front and rear fascias.
Leno likes the size of the Gallardo over the Aventador, and between the two siblings, his philosophy leans heavily toward the rear-wheel drive and superior comfort of the LP550-2. With the help of Andrew Romanowski of the Lamborghini Club of America, Leno goes through little-known details like the LEDs in the engine bay and the particulars that distinguish the two vehicles like the Alcantara, polycarbonate windows and lighter tires on the Superleggera.
Then, doing something that he would never do with human guests on his television show, he takes his favorite out for the driving segment and leaves the all-wheel-drive coupe at the garage to pout. You can learn a few things yourself and listen to Jay sing hosannas about the overall build quality and rear-focused power of the LP550-2 in the entertaining video below.
