Wrecked rental Lamborghini abandoned on Texas tollway

If you crashed and abandoned a $250,000 rented Lamborghini Gallardo on the side of the Dallas North Tollway Saturday night, the police would like to have a word with you. It appears that the Lamborghini hit a retaining wall before being dumped by the driver, according to WFAA. The supercar was found early Sunday morning with no identifying papers and no one around in the southbound lanes of the tollway. Police towed the vehicle. Exotic Skittles, an exotic car rental company in the Dallas area, confirmed that the crashed Lamborghini had been rented from them. The company's Facebook page prominently features a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo similar to the one left on the side of the road. It seems that yellow Gallardos can be a real problem on the high-end rental market; it was just last year that teen-idol and general Canadian roustabout Justin Bieber was arrested for committing various acts of bad driving in a similar model, in Florida. Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial

How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.

This incredible life-size Lamborghini Aventador is made out of paper

We've all screwed around with the cutting and folding fun that results from paper model making over here at the Autoblog Craft Workshop (not a real thing), but we've yet to dive into a project with real scale. Thankfully, dedicated hobbyists the world over are taking care of the heavy lifting for us on this front.
Years back we brought you images of an Epson team mid-build with a full-scale Honda NSX racecar, and that project might still be the granddaddy of the genre (though this Audi A7 and this Bugatti Veyron are pretty good, too). But the Lamborghini Aventador police interceptor model seen here, measuring eight-feet long, is right up there. Gaming fans will recognize the Need For Speed inspiration for the wood pulp Lambo, and after watching the fast-motion video of the entire build process we should all be able to recognize the hard work that went into the car's completion.
