Teen Who Stole Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Receives Life Sentence

A California man received a life sentence with possibility of parole Thursday for attempted murder and the theft of celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini. Max Wade was only 16 when he stole the $200,000 super car owned by Fieri, the Food Network star. In a carefully planned heist inspired by too many secret-agent movies, Wade repelled from the rooftop window of a San Francisco garage and stole the Lambo on March 8, 2011, according to The San Francisco Chronicle. Later, the newspaper says, Wade texted a friend that "it doesn't get any better than boosting a lambo and picking up chicks at 17." Among them was Eva Dedier, 18. After Wade flirted with her, Dedier told him she was seeing another man, Landon Wahlstrom. On April 13, 2012, Wade fired five shots into Wahlstrom's pickup truck as the couple occupied the vehicle. Wade was tried as an adult and convicted on Oct. 30, 2013. In addition to the life sentence, the judge added 21 years and four months for the premeditated use of a firearm. Lamborghini owner forgives teen for using car as a bike ramp

A teenager in Singapore got off shockingly easy after he was caught on camera riding his bike across the hood of a Lamborghini last week. According to The New Paper, Izzadnaff Abdul Qusyairl was on his way to play some games at a local arcade in Bedok, Singapore, when he saw a bright yellow Lamborghini Gallardo parked outside of Bedok Stadium. Being a dumb teenager, Izzadnaff decided to pull a stunt he saw on YouTube. Izzadnaff rode his bike up the hood and over the top of the Lambo. Unfortunately for him, the Lambo's dashcam was on and caught him in the act. The Lambo's owner, Aaron Keder, uploaded the footage to Facebook, kicking off an internet manhunt for the young cyclist. Qusyairl's mother got wind of the situation and quickly took matters into her own hands by first giving her son a stern talking to and then contacting Keder through a mutual friend. "Izzadnaff is usually obedient. I don't know what happened to him that day," she told New Paper. "He was very afraid to admit to his mistake after that, but I told him that he had done something wrong, so he had to stand up and admit his mistake." Thankfully, Keder seemed to have a good sense of humor about the incident and agreed to sit down with the abashed teen and sort the situation out. "I met the family on Sunday afternoon and we have resolved the issue," said Keder. "All I wanted was an explanation from the boy and to know how he felt when he went on top of my car. The ultra-limited-production 50th anniversary model looks downright lethal sitting under the lights of the Geneva Motor Show. Regardless of the 750-horsepower V12 lurking at the machine's core, the preponderance of vents, wings, splitters and fins means the hypercar can't help but look like it'll cut you for the fun of it. While most high-performance exotics are as much about what you can't see as what you can, the Veneno gets the ludicrous-loving 12-year-old kid inside of us cackling with joy.
