A dealer made a 'Urus' out of an Audi Q7 to get people excited for Lambo's SUV

Fake news seems to be catching on. In an attempt to drum up some interest in the upcoming Lamborghini Urus (the Italian SUV that hasn't been unveiled yet) the Lamborghini dealer in Nurnberg, Germany, created a Lambo-badged promotional vehicle. It seems it has fooled at least a few folks, with several outlets reporting on it as if it's a Lamborghini prototype. Of course, it's not. What you're looking at is an Audi Q7 with a camouflage wrap that includes a Lamborghini-script logo across the back and a promotional message on the side, which reads: "Der Urus kommt / Lamborghini Nurnberg." Thanks to one semester of German, we can tell you that first part means "The Urus is coming." Note, that's "is coming," not "is here." There's also something that kind of resembles a scoop on the front fender. It's also fake. It's not uncommon for automakers to put a cryptic message on the side of a test car, often with swirly camo, but this takes the idea a step further since it's not the actual car underneath. That said, the production Urus, whenever it arrives, is expected to share the Audi Q7's MLB 2 platform. So it sort of works. Kind of. Deadmau5 orders Nyanborghini Purracan to replace departed Purrari

EDM DJ and producer Deadmau5 is unusual among car collectors for a few reasons, like the fact that the Canadian native didn't get his driver's license until he was 32 - about two years ago and well into fame - so his first car was a Porsche 911 Carrera RS. Elsewise, his garage contains a BAC Mono, a McLaren P1 and 650S, a Range Rover, a "custom Jeep Rubicon with an SRT engine and big suspension," and a daily driver Bentley Continental GT Supersports. There is also that controversial and now-unwrapped Ferrari 458, the Nyancat Purrari with custom badging that so incensed Ferrari they sent him a cease-and-desist letter. After the kerfuffle, Nissan teased Deadmau5 with the idea of a Nyancat GT-R, but the musician has tweeted the the replacement is going to be a Lamborghini Huracan called, naturally, the Nyanborghini Purracan. Deadmau5 tweeted the delivery date is in May, so all you other Toronto-ites, you have until summer to prepare yourselves for this guy patrolling the streets. Oh, Canada... Lamborghini Super Trofeo series will rent you a race car for $35k, all expenses included

Racing isn't cheap. The cars often command six-figure price sums, race teams don't work for free and then you have to get the car to races while feeding it an endless supply of tires. It's no surprise then that owning a race team is a multimillion-dollar affair, but Lamborghini and its North American Blancpain Super Trofeo series is a new way for licensed racers to get behind the wheel of a racecar for a much lower price.
As a part of the single-make series, Lamborghini will supply racers with everything you need for competition - including a race-spec Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo - as well as a trackside hospitality experience... all for a relatively affordable $35,000 per race weekend. Of course, not just anyone with a spare $35,000 can hop behind the wheel and hit the track. Lamborghini says that all drivers must have an FIA-accredited racing license for the International Motor Sport Association category with a "C" or "D" rating.
When it comes to the actual racing, there will be two 60-minute practice sessions, 40 minutes of qualifying and two 50-minute races, meaning that these cars might be the most expensive rental cars ever at $8,700 per hour. In its inaugural season, the Super Trofeo will run in conjunction with two Grand-Am races, two America Le Mans Series races, an IMSA race in Canada and finally an IndyCar race weekend in California.
