How to drive a Lamborghini Huracan off-road

Lamborghinis may come with all-wheel drive, but they're hardly made for off-roading. At least not the type the LM002 was made for and until the new Urus arrives. But one driver Down Under evidently had his own idea of what the Huracan could handle. During the second day of this year's the Targa Tasmania rally, Tony Quinn left the road in his ten-cylinder Lambo and jumped a dirt embankment. The Scottish-Australian pet-food magnate claimed the stunt was deliberate, as you'll hear him explain in colorful language at the beginning of the video above. It's definitely not the fastest way around the corner, but Quinn hits the dirt too hard to look like an accident. Still, we're glad he did it in front of the camera purely for our viewing pleasure. Reviving the spirit of legendary road rallies like the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia, the Targa Tasmania has been held on the Australian island for over two decades. Quinn won the five-day event twice – in 2009 and 2011 – behind the wheel of a Nissan GT-R. Both Godzilla and the preceding Gallardo have claimed the checkered flag in Tasmania four times each, coming second only to the Porsche 911 that has won nine times. Quinn and his co-pilot Naomi Tillett are competing in the GT4 category this year and currently sit fourth in the class standings. Watch this Lamborghini Gallardo get hooned like a WRC car

Driving your million-dollar supercar or ultra-lux limousine carefully and pridefully on to the well-manicured lawns of a fancy concurs d'elegance is what your old man did, square. Driving your exotic through mud and filth, with fast sideways bits and loads of counter steering is what all the hip kids are up to these days.
Having already experienced the puerile joys of seeing a Rolls-Royce turf a lawn and a Ferrari Enzo slide around the farm, we can now enjoy this Lamborghini Gallardo in the mud and ruts. The video below shows about exactly what you'd expect from WRC-themed title, except for lacking in big air and, you know, really good, fast driving. Still, there's mud. Check it out below.

Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse will cost $260K* and only come in yellow

If you live in America and want one of the 15 Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corses slated for our shores, you'll be happy to know you can have it any color you want, so long as it's yellow. Seems a bit odd, we'll agree, but Lambo's Giallo Midas is kind of a trademark for the brand.
Pricing for the special edition Gallardo, which is limited to just 50 units worldwide, starts at $259,100, *not including the $2,100 gas guzzler tax or the unspecified destination costs. Besides the 15 cars slated for the US market, Canada will get three vehicles of its own. Regardless of where you buy your Squadra Corse, though, they'll be individually numbered and will begin deliveries in September.
