2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0. This car was manufactured in Sant'Agata Italy in 2000. It was flown to the United States for the August 2000 Running of the Bulls put on by Lamborghini Orange County to Monterey California (Italiano Concourso). Mario Andretti was the guest driver in the number one spot of 100 Lamborghini's. He drove this car for part of the way, and signed this brand new car. I know because I drove this run. At the time I was driving Dennis Rodman's old 1997 Diablo Roadster, which Mario Andretti also signed at the time. I have been making the running of the bulls almost every year since then, but this particular car never ran in it again. This car remained in California, and I again made contact with it in 2005 when I purchased it following a spin out resulting in the left rear wheel being impacted. It was professionally repaired at that time in Florida by a vietnam veteran who owned his own body shop. Car was repaired perfectly and there is no indication of any damage by any inspection, or by performance for the past 8 years and 30,000 kilometers. At the same time it was fitted with a Borla stainless exhaust which sounds awesome, and looks great (straight pipes); together with a new clutch. Some of the photos here were taken in Las Vegas a few months ago, but I now have the car back in Louisiana. This car is as nice an example of a 6.0 as I have seen. When combined with the unique history, it makes this car quite a collectible indeed. This is the last of the Diablo's, and extremely rare. Good luck bidding. Please feel free to conduct a pre-bid inspection, but after winning bid car is yours. As is where is, runs and drives super; and looks great inside and out. We can have it listed on truckstop.com for delivery in the United States. Buyer pays for shipping.

Admire 350 Lamborghinis lined up at 50th Anniversary Tour
Fri, 10 May 2013If you're a fan of Lamborghini then you'll want to set aside 13 minutes of your time for this video. The Sant' Agata carmaker is hosting a 50th Anniversary Tour from Milan to Rome and then back up to the factory in Bologna, and the 350 entries in this running of the bulls were staged on a Milan street. YouTube user Shmee150 is with the convoy and he spent the aforementioned 13 minutes walking among the field of glory that spans models from 1963 to now.
None of the cars were running so the video lacks the audio thrill of the supercars merging onto the M6 in the UK. As a virtual tour of Italian art museum showcasing a massive outdoor exhibit of Lamborghinis, however, it can't be beat. Don't hesitate to check out the video below.
Leno's Lamborghini Espada is a freshly restored super-wagon
Mon, May 23 2016To give you a sense of why we love Jay Leno, outside of just his taste in cars and ability to preserve so many of them, is that he didn't always have a massive warehouse full of exotics. At one point during his 30-year ownership of this 1969 Lamborghini Espada, it was his only car. Now it has somewhere north of 100k miles on it (he doesn't know exactly because the odometer stopped working at one point – go figure!), and it's still driving great. Leno claims he have it a mechanical refresh about 10 years ago, mostly to clean up some dodgy wiring, and it is fresh out of a cosmetic refresh to address some rust bubbles in the quarters. The V12 is healthy – Leno credits that to letting it warm up before setting off – and it sounds phenomenal. Other than some minor upgrades, like a modern air conditioning system and some added sound insulation, it's mechanically stock. Inside, there's plenty of room for four adults, and Leno's large frame fits just fine in the driver's seat. The Espada set Leno back $26,000 in 1986, when he considered buying a Ferrari 330 GTC. The Ferrari was $2,500 more, so he picked the Lamborghini. Now, that 330 GTC is a $1m+ car, and the Espada? Not so much, although they are appreciating. Don't cry too much for Leno, he turned out all right. Just enjoy the Espada ripping along in sunny California, making all the right noises. Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster will debut in Monterey
Fri, Aug 7 2015While the Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance remain a brilliant place to watch cars (and people), it just wouldn't be the same if some of the world's finest automakers didn't bring something new to the affair. Lamborghini will take center stage in the lead up to this year's Concours, unveiling the all-new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster at The Quail on Friday, August 14. While normally we'd say that details are scarce, the truth is, we expect the Aventador SV Roadster to simply mimic the standard SV hardtop. That should mean a screaming, 740-horsepower V12, a sub-three-second sprint to 60 miles per hour, a 200-mph-plus top speed, and a price tag in excess of half a million dollars. The SV Roadster will be limited to just 500 units, making it rare even among the ultra-pricey world of Lamborghini. Look for much more on the SV Roadster when it makes its debut next week at The Quail, in sunny California. Until then, scroll down for Lambo's brief press release. Representing a true expression of super sports car purity, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster is limited to a 500-unit production run. Further details about pricing, dealer delivery and specifications will be released in conjunction with the official debut.
