NO RESERVE! Winning bid takes it! Up for auction is a one of a kind Lamborghini Diablo convertible exact replica supercar. Based off of the 2000 model. It has been totally redesigned to give it that Aventador look. The car has had over $120,000 invested in it, not to mention years of time put in by some expert car builders. And yes, it is chrome!  Unlike anything you will ever see on the road this "silver surfer" or "silver bullet" gets more attention than any car on the road. Make sure you can handle attention, because camera phones will come out like never before and people will be extra nice to you all of the sudden and most likely even ask if you will take their picture with it. Many car experts opinion is that this is better than the real Diablo in many ways. It sounds just as good if not better than the real deal. As it sounds like a jet engine taking off, with an awesome exotic backup roar that is so unique people turn their heads before even seeing it, almost as if a jet airplane is about to land. It could be a daily driver, as it is super reliable and simple to maintain. It also has plenty more space than the original Diablo, allowing for a person anywhere from 5'5 up to 7 feet tall to easily fit into. It was custom built for a professional athlete who was about 7 feet tall and made to be as good if not better than the real thing simply because it is impossible for a person over 6'2 and over 180 lbs to fit in a mid engine sports car... It is an exotic super car, that does not have a top or windows, absolutely exhilarating to drive! The engine is a mid engine McLaren designed supercharged V6 that pushes about 350 horsepower. It comes from GM so it uses a modified GM harness, oil filter, etc. all practically brand new. Now 350 horse may sound like a lot already, but when pushing a vehicle that weighs around 1850 pounds it feels more like 700 horses. As it will throw you back in the seat as the 4 point harnesses quickly tighten up... It uses a 5 speed transaxle that has a short fast shift that propels it extremely well, very easy and a blast to drive (if you can handle the attention). Custom tubular chassis using the GM tub and GM wiring, built like a nascar. As with most exotics, it sits quite low to the ground, so it has a custom air bag suspension that raises the car up to 11 inches off the ground, so speed bumps and parking garages are never a problem. It can be raised and lowered from inside the cockpit very quickly... The interior is all custom Lambo and has the gauges and accessories to match. Custom stereo sounds great. Push button air shock doors easily lifts the scissor doors up and down... It runs super cool, with custom built dual rear radiators with fans set up just like the real Lambo. 99% of people assume it's a brand new special edition Lambo, or a prototype. Titled and registered in Florida. Easy to insure through a specialty company ($1200 full coverage for the year based on a $100,000 value). It is listed as a 1980 model for listing purposes only.  The exterior is simply amazing with a near mirror like finish with carbon fiber accents... Quite possibly the most photographed car on the road today. Would make a great promotional vehicle as pictures go viral on facebook and instagram. The auction is just for the convertible Lambo. Also available is an all chrome Chevy SSR convertible truck ($23,000 obo) custom Dodge Ram Hemi with the SRT-10 Viper body package with all sorts of add ons, a daily driver also mirror chrome asking $14,000 obo. Serious inquires only please. 813.992.0788 cell located on South Beach

Party sponsored by Lamborghini tried to airlift yacht into Austin lake for F1 race

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

This was the kind of understatement we didn't expect to encounter in the Lone Star State: on our way into Austin to attend the Grand Prix of the Americas, the man sitting next to us on the plane - an Austinite born and raised - said, "There's gonna be a lot of wealthy people here." You know, as if Texas didn't have its fair share already.
Wealthy people need wealthy things to do and not-as-wealthy people to arrange such things for them. Case in point is My Yacht Club, which follows the Formula 1 parade and other rah-rah events around the globe, hosting guests and parties on yachts. In Austin the event group has had to change its schtick; there's no way to navigate one 150-foot motor yacht into Austin's Lady Bird Lake. MYC principal Nicholas Frankl told KUT News, "We spoke to the Army Air Corps. They couldn't lift it." We believe he meant the Army Corps of Engineers, but no matter, they couldn't lift it either.
So MYC has switched to a land-lubbers venue, The Long Center where Ballet Austin, the opera and the symphony perform. In case you readers are worried about how guests will manage without chiseled Italian deckhands in epaulets, not only has Frankl promised that "the elements of decadence and luxury and coolness and exclusivity are all there," guests will get to guzzle 24-karat gold-infused champagne. Because the stars at night just aren't as big and bright without it, obviously.

The Lamborghini Urus is the ultimate super-SUV, and you can win one here

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment is necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. The stats: 641 horsepower. 0–60 in just over 3 seconds. A top speed of 190 miles per hour. All of those sound impressive in a performance car, but in a five-seat SUV, theyÂ’re bonkers. That kind of performance is what you get when youÂ’re behind the wheel of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus. Normally one of these super-SUVs will cost you right around a quarter of a million dollars, but for those of us who donÂ’t have that kind of cash, just head on over to Omaze, where theyÂ’re giving away a Urus, along with $20,000 in cash, with all taxes and delivery fees covered. Win a 2021 Lamborghini Urus and $20,000 - Enter at Omaze HereÂ’s what we said about the Urus when we first got behind the wheel: “With a full day of track, street and dirt driving ahead of us, our first impressions arrive hard and fast at the 2.54-mile Vallelunga circuit near Rome. It feels strange to sit behind the wheel of a Lamborghini with a turbocharged V8 and room for five, but the whip-like acceleration from a standstill leaves you neck-strained and satisfied. This thing is wickedly quick, with a claimed 0-to-62-mph time of 3.6 seconds. It might be quicker than that in the real world. That's speedier than a Gallardo, which isn't saddled with a 4,843-pound curb weight. Drop the car's numerical mass from your mind, and Urus also feels shockingly nimble in corners. Aided by active roll stabilization, an air suspension system that can lower the car up to 1.6 inches, active damping, torque vectoring, and sticky Pirelli Corsa rubber, the Urus manages to dance its way breezily through corners despite its relative heft. The standard 10-piston carbon ceramic brakes deliver phenomenal stopping power, though it sometimes felt like there was some additional brake assist that was boosting the slowdown efforts, making it difficult to finely modulate brake release during corner entry. “Dip the throttle and 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque gets laid down with a whole lot of help from the computers; there are some tight corners at Vallelunga that would have yielded understeer from a more analog vehicle, but the Urus's all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and torque vectoring enable a point-and-shoot approach at the track.

Lamborghini Lanzador concept is a megawatt wedge previewing the first Lamborghini EV

Fri, Aug 18 2023

Two years ago, Lamborghini confirmed that it would launch a fully-electric car of some sort. Today, we get our first glimpse of what that will be with the Lanzador concept. It's a precursor to a production model that will be sold alongside the other mainline models such as Urus, Revuelto and the Huracan's successor. The Lanzador's styling is very obviously Lamborghini, what with its wedge shape that runs from stem to stern. The huge fenders, squinting headlights and hexagonal taillight elements are familiar, too. The question is, is it more of a squashed Urus, or a pumped-up Revuelto. We're not sure there's a wrong answer. It does seem to be something of an SUV or crossover with its relatively high ride height and the 2+2 seating position. Lamborghini calls it an "Ultra GT," which reminds us a bit of Aston Martin calling its DB12 a "super tourer." Whatever it is, it happens to have just two doors, or three if you count the rear hatchback. We particularly like the 23-inch wheels that are hexagonal renditions of classic Lambo phone-dial wheels. Just above those wheels are some nifty hidden wheel well air vents that are part of an extensive array of active aerodynamic elements to optimize either drag for efficiency or downforce for performance. Inside, two sets of aggressive-looking sport seats are available for the driver and their friends to enjoy the "Ultra GT" life. The dash consists of two cowls with screens for the driver and passenger. Down the center is a cluster of controls that looks straight out of an alien spacecraft for operating infotainment functions. The typical Lamborghini starter button with safety cover returns, and amusingly, it still references starting an engine in an electric vehicle that has no engine. Lamborghini also notes that the interior uses wool upholstery, more sustainable leather and recycled materials. Even some carbon fiber is recycled using a method that combines layers of reprocessed pieces with a more attractive top layer to finish them off. And besides space for four people, the rear cargo area seems quite spacious as well as versatile thanks to folding rear seats and the hatch. And if that's not enough, there's a front trunk, too. Mechanically, details are a little scarce, but Lamborghini says the Lanzador would feature a pair of electric motors for all-wheel drive, and output would be more than 1,300 horsepower (more than 1 megawatt as Lamborghini put it).
