Lamborghini : Diablo 6.0 Se on 2040-cars
Tampa, Florida, United States
The only 6.0 SE currently for sale anywhere in the world. The last time any 6.0 SE was advertised was the final car that sold @ Barrett Jackson auctions January 2012, so you know how far and few between these cars are let alone change hands. The Barrett Jackson car was Canadian spec and not for sale or to be driven in the USA. My car is a USA spec, it is # 34 & probably one of no more than 10 in the USA. Painted in Maroone Eclipse, a highly sought after color in modern Lamborghini's and offered here as one of only 20 in the entire world. Pictures car never do the car justice, this is my 4th 6.0 i've owned and the most beautiful of them all. Vehicle has just completed a major overhaul and full service, all books and both tool kits included. Factory car cover in the bag (Yellow), as well as the custom 3 piece luggage set that sits in the trunk. These are all unique and one offs. I'm pretty sure i have everything with the car just as it was when it left the factory. List of components replaced:
Drive train.
Interior.
Last notation and VERY important, if you are the winning bidder, YOU MUST have this car PPI'd. I want the buyer to be 100% happy with the purchase, you're spending a LOT of money on this classic car, make sure you get what you expect. DO NOT buy the car and wire funds sight unseen, if you do purchase and decide not to view the car, the money will be refunded and transaction cancelled. In other words, part of the transaction record REQUIRES that the high and winning bidder pay for a PPI at the dealer of choice, if no PPI is requested 96 hours after winning bid, deposit will be RETAINED (Due to you not following guidelines, i will keep this deposit) and car will be re-listed. I'm happy to give any test drives, pick you up at TPA and take you and the car directly to the service shop of your choice. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. I believe based on very accurate records, that the Maroon Eclipse 6.0 SE is one of only 5 in the entire USA & i feel this is the most perfect and pristine example. Lamborghini Urus Superveloce on the table, Asterion off
Wed, Jul 22 2015Last year Lamborghini revealed the Asterion concept at the Paris Motor Show, showcasing a new design on the surface and hybrid technology underneath. Months later, the possibility of the Asterion entering production was still reportedly on the table, but at this point the Bolognese automaker has other priorities. The company is in the midst of a massive expansion of its production facilities that will not only see it generating its own power, but also adding a new assembly line to double its output with an entirely new model. That, of course, will take the form of a crossover closely previewed by the Urus concept of 2012. But the initial version might only be the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Although additional body-styles might not suit the Urus as well as it would have the Estoque (had Lamborghini gone with the four-door, front-engined sedan design instead of the crossover), the Urus could lead to a range of engine specs and orientations. "We have more than enough ideas, but it is too early to confirm anything," Lamborghini chief Stephan Winkelmann told Autocar. "All options are possible, and we will work on evaluating them in the run-up to launch. If our customers want to see something, we'll do our best to meet their needs." Considering what Lamborghini has done with its supercars, we could see an even higher-output, more performance-focused version to follow – like the latest Superveloce version of the Aventador (soon to be applied to the Aventador roadster, as well). Theoretically, that could be an Urus SV. Though the Huracan has so far (aside from racing versions) only been shown in its initial form, the preceding Gallardo resulted in more model variants than we'd care to count. In addition to a possible hybrid version, the Urus (or whatever it's ultimately called in production form) could lead to an ultra-luxury version at the other end of the spectrum. What's clear is that the Urus program is going to keep Lamborghini busy for some time to come. And while we're expecting more versions of the Huracan to follow in due course, the possibility of putting the Asterion (or some version thereof) into production as well is apparently off the table for the time being. Considering that by the time it reaches production, it will have been a good six years since the Raging Bull marque first showcased the Urus concept, the Asterion could be kept on the back burner for several more years to come.
Why Italians are no longer buying supercars
Wed, 08 May 2013Italy is the wound that continues to drain blood from the body financial of Italian supercar and sports car makers. The wound was opened by the country's various financial police who decided to get serious about superyacht-owning and supercar-driving tax cheats a few years ago, by noting their registrations and checking their incomes. When it was found that a rather high percentage of exotic toy owners had claimed a rather low annual income - certain business owners were found to be declaring less income than their employees - the owners began dumping their cars and prospective buyers declined to buy.
Car and Driver has a piece on how the initiative is hitting the home market the hardest. Lamborghini sold 1,302 cars worldwide in 2010, 1,602 cars in 2011 and 2,083 cars in 2012 - an excellent surge in just two years. In Italy, however, it's all about the ebb: in 2010, the year that Italian police began scouring harbors, Lamborghini sold 96 cars in Italy, the next year it sold 72, last year it sold just 60. The declines for Maserati and Ferrari are even more pronounced.
Head over to CD for the full story and the numbers. What might be most incredible isn't the cause and effect, but where the blame is being placed. A year ago the chairman of Italy's Federauto accused the government of "terrorizing potential clients," this year Luca di Montezemolo says what's happening has created "a hostile environment for luxury goods." Life at the top, it ain't easy.
Lamborghini Aventador reports for taxi duty at Bologna airport
Mon, 13 May 2013Lamborghini has invaded another airport as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. In January, it took over one of the two runways at Miami-Dade International Airport so it could conduct high-speed runs and have an Aventador pose with a Boeing airliner. Across the Atlantic, the Aventador has just been made the "Follow Me" vehicle at the Aeroporto di Bologna, which is 30 minutes from the company factory in Sant' Agata Bolognese.
According to Auto Evolution, it's been done up just like the Fiat models one normally encounters on such duty - it even has a light bar in case pilots don't simply want to follow the noise. Specially trained airport staff will guide arriving flights to their gates in the Aventador from May 6 to May 19, and once passengers are deplaned, they can check out the Lamborghini exhibit inside the airport.
