OK, I am officially listing my car up for sale. To begin, YES, I know my car has more miles than most Lamborghinis! I drive it every day and every where and love it to pieces . . . so, again, YES it has 38,000+ miles on it. Given that, I am sure any buyer will have a a multitude of questions to ask of me.  I am available virtually anytime by email (andrew.sweet13@gmail.com) and will work hard to make myself available via cell (704.608.5050). I should also mention that I have a ton of high resolution photos that I can easily send to those interested. Here are the highlights:

- Full factory warranty remaining through August 2014 (option remains to extend for 2 years). Clearly the car has no mechanical issues as they would have been addressed under the warranty. Literally not a thing to be addressed on the car. Starts, runs and pulls hard every day.
- New, proper tires 3k miles ago.
- Fully serviced including most recent full fluid and filters done ~250 mi ago.
- Front half of the car has spent its entire life in clear bra.
- No body damage, accidents, paint work, etc. Clear title / Carfax
- I am the second owner and purchased the car ~7 months ago from Lamborghini Atlanta with a PPI
- All keys, tools and car cover
- New OEM SL floormats at time of purchase

Lowlights / full-disclosure:
- Front right wheel lightly curbed (parking garage brain fart)
- Had small portion of driver side seat bolster re upholstered - the color match is not exact
- Plastic engine covers/surrounds are not on the car (were not there when I purchased)
- As one would expect, suede steering wheel is matted, per usual
- Very small chip in wing clear coat (should not have opened engine bay in low garage) - size of a BB
- Small paint blemish near gas cap (looks like previous owner hit it with gas nozzle) - less than size of a dime

That's it. Super solid car that is a ton of fun. One heck of a great driver.

Would like to consummate a quick sale here. $2k non-refundable deposit due at time of auction close.  Full payment due 5 business days after auction closes.

Man hired to remove Confederate monuments finds Lambo burned

Wed, Jan 20 2016

A contractor in Louisiana is discovering that no good deed goes unpunished. After David Mahler, the owner of H&O Investments, was hired by the city of New Orleans to remove monuments to the rebellious Confederate States of America, he was subjected to death threats. Then his Lamborghini was set on fire. What's bizarre here is the sequence of events. The death threats started rolling in after Mahler was announced as the city's contractor to remove monuments to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee, PGT Beauregard, and Confederate States of America President Jefferson Davis. Then the threatening phone calls started rolling in, New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU reports. Mahler then pulled his company out of the job, but that didn't stop the torching of the new Huracan. A Baton Rouge Fire Department investigation into the fire at the H&O Investments office is still in progress, WDSU reports, but when Mahler's attorney calls the circumstances "extremely suspicious," it's not an unreasonable statement. The car was utterly unrecognizable after the fire. You can make out the tires and seat frames, and a lump of melted metal where the engine used to be, but that's about all that's left of Sant'Agata's new entry-level model. It's just another victim in a war that most sane people understand ended over 150 years ago. Check out WDSU's report at the top of the page for before and after images of the poor Huracan.

Lamborghini profiled on 60 Minutes for 50th anniversary

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Even though we (meaning car enthusiasts as a whole) don't spend our days driving Lamborghinis, they're somehow a familiar, known quantity. We know we'll be wowed by a Lambo, and we have a pretty fair idea of what the sound and acceleration feel like. We know a Lamborghini is going to be wildly expensive, hopelessly impractical and eye-wateringly thirsty, but the charm that comes with the badge outweighs everything else.
We also recognize that we, as enthusiasts, are in the minority, and that the average joe is likely to be far more blown away by a Raging Bull than the average gearhead. That's what makes this an entertaining video. 60 Minutes explored Lamborghini right in the midst of its fiftieth anniversary, testing a Gallardo at Imola, tearing across the roads of Italy in an Aventador and exploring the Sant'Agata factory where all the magic happens. It's a bit of a long video, but it's a really fascinating look at how the mainstream views something extreme. Take a look below for the full, 12-minute clip.

Latest Transformers 4 trailer has Lamborghini getting in on the action

Thu, 15 May 2014

If any modern movie franchise defines spectacle, it has to be Transformers. All instantiations are about inviting audiences to sit down, fill up popcorn and turn off their brains because the next 90 minutes are nothing but shiny robots, explosions and loud noises. Oh, and cars... lots of cars. The latest trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction, the fourth film in the series, has just hit the web, and it checks all the boxes of what makes the films stand out.
The last trailer showed off a plethora of the movie's cars. This new one aims for action and focuses mostly on robots beating each other up in various international locales. Although, there is a great look at the movie's Lamborghini Aventador (pictured above) transforming and even briefly fighting Optimus Prime.
From the previous trailer and other releases, we know that the latest movie features a ton of vehicles, including a new look for Bumblebee, the Chevrolet Camaro, plus a Bugatti Veyron, C7 Corvette, Freightliner truck, Pagani Huayra and many more. Transformers: Age of Extinction is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2014. Scroll down to watch this extravaganza of special effects.
