Lamborghini reveals Aventador Nazionale in Beijing

Special editions have proven themselves a great way for high-end automakers to get a little bit more for their wares, but they appear to be gradually being taken over by personalization programs that allow customers to order their exotic new wheels just as they want them. After all, what's the point in ordering a special color scheme someone else has chosen when you can choose it yourself, with special wheels and interior upholstery to match?
Lamborghini has just such a program. It's called Ad Personam, and like the customization catalogs offered by other automakers, it allows its clients to specify any range of stylistic parameters to suit their own taste. To showcase the program, Lamborghini brought a customized Aventador to the Beijing Motor Show. Called the Nazionale edition, it's got a white paintjob with tricolore racing stripes up the hood, anthracite wheels, and a blue leather interior.
It's similar to the Gallardo Tricolore that rolled out of Sant'Agata three years ago - the kind of treatment we'd otherwise call a special edition, but despite carrying a different name, it just goes to show the possibilities Lamborghini offers it customers. For the right price, of course.

Lamborghini's first US Winter Accademia should be snow freaking cool

Though they are equipped almost exclusively with all-wheel drive, a Lamborghini might not be our first choice to drive in the snow. Not for practical reasons, anyway. But the idea sure does sound like fun – and probably more than a little bit educational, too. That's why Lamborghini established the Winter Accademia. Similar to the warm-weather Lamborghini Accademia we recently undertook at Laguna Seca, the Lamborghini Winter Accademia is a factory-organized advanced driving course, only this one takes place in the snow. The program was previously held only in Livogno, Italy, but the Bolognese automaker is now bringing it to the United States. Lamborghini will hold its Winter Accademia program during two sessions in early February at Snowmass in Aspen, Colorado (the same resort town where Ferrari held its winter driving program for the FF). During those sessions, pupils will have the chance to drive the Aventador and Huracan in the snow under the tutelage of factory instructors who will teach them techniques like emergency braking, drifting and lapping a makeshift roadcourse in the snow. Which sounds not only like a whole lot of fun, but like good skills to anyone who doesn't want to put their high-performance sports car in the garage for the entirety of the winter season. Teen Who Stole Guy Fieri's Lamborghini Receives Life Sentence

A California man received a life sentence with possibility of parole Thursday for attempted murder and the theft of celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini. Max Wade was only 16 when he stole the $200,000 super car owned by Fieri, the Food Network star. In a carefully planned heist inspired by too many secret-agent movies, Wade repelled from the rooftop window of a San Francisco garage and stole the Lambo on March 8, 2011, according to The San Francisco Chronicle. Later, the newspaper says, Wade texted a friend that "it doesn't get any better than boosting a lambo and picking up chicks at 17." Among them was Eva Dedier, 18. After Wade flirted with her, Dedier told him she was seeing another man, Landon Wahlstrom. On April 13, 2012, Wade fired five shots into Wahlstrom's pickup truck as the couple occupied the vehicle. Wade was tried as an adult and convicted on Oct. 30, 2013. In addition to the life sentence, the judge added 21 years and four months for the premeditated use of a firearm. Wade will be eligible for parole in no less than 17 years. Lamborghini Safety murder guy fieri
