I've got a 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid with just over 16k miles. This is my daily driver so mileage will increase over time.

I've replaced all the KIA badges with K5 (Korean designation for the Optima)
I've added a Luxon Strut bar and brace under the car for added rigidity for quicker turning
(This allows you to maintain momentum when turning, conserving fuel)
I had a local installer install HID Fogs and LED bars. The HIDs actually melted the housing a little, but work fine.

Stock Items:
Premium Infinity Sound System
Ipod Connector
Mud Guards
All Leather Seats
Heated AND Cooled Front Seats
Heated Rear Seats
Panoramic Moon/Sun Roof
Navigation
Keyless start (really cool, just sit in the car, hold the brake and press the "Go" button)
Any other available option KIA had for the hybrids (top of the line trims and all options)

Non-Smoker!

Minor scratches that I plan on buffing out and using filler that I ordered last week. Very minor.
Also, there is a Kicker AMP and Rockford Fosgate 10" Low-Profile sub for added low-end (Included)

The car is currently getting around 30mpg around town, and in the pictures below show close to 70mpg on the highway (to vegas). Of course this is highly dependent on how you drive the car, I milked it for what I could using every trick in the book. Average I get on highway is 35-38 since I tend to like no-one in front of me ;) Again, this may be different for you. You can really see the difference in grades of fuel between summer/winter blends.

I will NOT take payments.
I will NOT take trades unless you've got a 2010-2011 Audi S4 and are willing to work a deal.

I have this cross-listed an will take this listing down if its bought elsewhere.
Sold AS-IS
Buyer to provide shipping if they cannot come to pickup.

Kia K900 looks, sounds snarly with forced induction in SEMA preview

Sat, 25 Oct 2014

Kia is getting all set for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and among its vehicles is something that seems pretty mean.
The Korean company is keeping details quiet about what's under the hood of what it calls the High-Performance K900, but from listening to this video it certainly sounds fantastic with quite a meaty growl. There might be some form of forced induction going on, though we can't say for sure. Elsewhere on the car, Kia isn't being so tight-lipped. The High Performance wears a custom shade of gray paint with a one-off body kit, featuring carbon fiber inserts. It also sports 21-inch gloss black wheels and black chrome trim.
Honestly, we were left scratching our head a little when LeBron James signed on to be the "luxury brand ambassador" for the K900. However, if he were driving this around Cleveland, the endorsement might make a little more sense. Check out the video above to glimpse the concept for SEMA, and read the little that Kia is saying about it in the release below.

Kia Hotbots come back out to play with 2014 Forte

Sun, 04 Aug 2013

Kia is bringing back its so-called "hotbots," the slightly disturbing female robots that traipse about the uncanny valley while hustling the new Forte and "respecting the tech," for three new, humorous animated spots.
The Hotbots first debuted during Kia's latest Super Bowl spot, which followed the debut of the 2014 Forte sedan at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Each new spot follows the premise of the two originals, with the hotbots protecting the Forte while the oblivious owner stands by. Take a look at all three ads below, along with the two originals that kicked the series off.

Hyundai and Kia set aside $412 million for false mileage claims

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

We still don't know how the whole fuel economy ratings debacle is going to play out for Hyundai and Kia, but both automakers are preparing to make good on their promises to reimburse vehicle owners for lower-than-promised mileage figures. According to Automotive News, Hyundai and Kia have set aside a combined total of $412 million ($225 million for Hyundai and $187 million for Kia) as compensation, which will be sent out on a case-by-case basis via debit cards depending on the vehicle and the mileage driven.
Announced back in November, the exaggerated miles per gallon claims affect around 900,000 Kia and Hyundai products produced for the 2011 through 2013 model years sold in the US and Canada. This whole deal has had plenty of action ranging from suspected whistleblowing from a rival US automaker and even insider trading, but it has probably been most frustrating for vehicle owners who, in most cases, saw their vehicles' city and highway ratings drop between one and three digits.
