Selling my 2009 Jeep wrangler Jk. A must own for anyone in the market. This has been my pet project for the past year and a half, but its time to move on to a new project. This Jeep has been pampered since day one. I have invested thousands of dollars, and countless man hours getting to where it is at today. It has a ton of upgrades which ive listed below. The jeep is in amazing condition from top to bottom, inside and out. I have been through alot of different parts to get it just where i wanted. Multiple sets of wheels and tires, bumpers, lights etc.. It has been perfectly maintaned inside and out. All have moving parts have always been kept lubricated. Including motor and supension parts. Ive only had it off-road once and that was to pull someone out ( i know thats bad, but its just too nice for me to tear up). The jeep is extremely clean from front to back and underneath. It drives perfect with absolutely no shakes, wobbles, or shimmeys. It comes with a transferable lifetime engine and drivetrain warranty through the Jeep dealership. All services are up to date, and have been done at the dealer. I have service records since the day i bought, and everything checked out in the green at its most recent service so it needs nothing. The AC is ice cold. Brakes, tires, and everything else are all in great shape. It has 49800 miles on it. Mostly higway on my end. It runs 80 down the highway no problem, and really doesnt get that bad of gas mileage. About 18-19 mpg highway, but it does have 4.10 gears, magnaflow cat back exhaust, Volant cold air intake, viper throttle body, and been tuned with the superchips 3875 flashpaq tuner that comes with it. Im real proud of this Jeep. Its one of a kind. It is as sharp as any ive seen (as you can see from the pictures), and gets so many complimetns its ridiculous. You wont find one this nice and this clean for close to this price at a dealership or anywhere else. I did break the handle on the glove box the other day, but have ordered a smittybilt vaulted glove box to replace it. Please dont bid if your not sure your gonna buy. It can be a hassle having to relist these things over and over. Feel free to call or text me with any questions, discuss a possible offer or to come check it out. 256-606-5920.

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 24 Apr 2014The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.
Fiat Chrysler to get $105M fine from NHTSA for recall woes
Sun, Jul 26 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is about to send a powerful message to automakers doing business in the United States, assuming reports of an upcoming $105 million fine against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles comes to fruition. In addition to the record-setting monetary fine, according to The Wall Street Journal, FCA will have to accept an independent auditor that will monitor the company's recall and safety processes and will be forced to buy back certain recalled vehicles. In other cases, such as with Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models with gas tanks that could potentially catch fire in certain types of accidents, FCA will offer financial encouragement for owners to get their recall work done or to trade those older vehicles in on new cars, according to the report. FCA could reportedly reduce its fines if it meets certain conditions, though those remain unclear at this time. These actions against FCA are being taken after NHTSA began a probe into the automaker over almost two dozen separate instances where the government claims FCA failed to follow proper procedures for recalls and safety defects. Included in those safety lapses are more than 11 million vehicles currently in customer hands. These penalties and fines are separate from the investigation over security problems with Chrysler's Uconnect system that allowed hackers to obtain remote access into key vehicle systems in 1.4 million vehicles. FCA recalls over 200k Jeep Cherokees for windshield wiper static
Tue, Sep 1 2015Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is issuing a recall for over 200,000 versions of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee due to a problem with static buildup disabling the windshield wipers. FCA has identified 158,671 units in the United States. Another 18,366 vehicles are estimated to be affected in Canada, a further 3,582 in Mexico, and 26,049 outside of North America. The problem, according to the first statement below, results from static building up if the wipers are operated in dry conditions. The static could mess with the wipers' control module, rendering them disabled. To fix the problem, dealers will be instructed to install a ground strap to the module. In parallel, FCA is also offering incentives to the owners of certain trucks that were subject to recall but for which remedies were not immediately available. To encourage those owners to bring their older vehicles in for the required service, the automaker will disperse $100 prepaid cards for use at their discretion. The program is offered to owners of certain model year Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Liberty, Chrysler Aspen, and Dodge Durango sport-utility vehicles, as well as certain Dodge Dakota and Ram trucks. Owners of the affected Grand Cherokees will have the option instead to take a $1,000 consideration toward the purchase of a new vehicle or for parts and service. The offers are only being extended under certain specific criteria, though. So if you think that could be you, you'll want to read through the conditions in the second announcement below. STATEMENT: CONTROL MODULE August 31, 2015 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - FCA US LLC is recalling an estimated 158,671 SUVs in the U.S. to help protect their control modules from static buildup that may potentially disable the vehicles' windshield wipers. An investigation by FCA US discovered static buildup may occur if the vehicles' windshield wipers are activated during dry conditions. Significant static buildup may affect a control module that powers the wipers. The Company is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. Affected are model-year 2014 Jeep Cherokee SUVs. An estimated 18,366 vehicles will be recalled in Canada, as will an estimated 3,582 in Mexico and 26,049 outside the NAFTA region. Dealers will install a ground strap to the control module to eliminate the potential for static buildup. Customers will be advised when they may schedule service, which will be performed at no cost.
