Jeep Wrangler Yj 4.0 6 Cylinder Hard Top Auto on 2040-cars
Port Orange, Florida, United States
When I was younger I had the same jeep and had the lift and big tires on one so i thought i would relive my childhood but as it turns out when I was 18 I didn't have kids and family so it has to go. This is a 1995 jeep wrangler SE 4.0 with hard top and hard doors also has a/c i also have the safari top that covers drivers and passengers while driving and a emergency top for when its parked out side and starts to rain it covers the whole open area of the jeep when the roof and doors are off. the jeep has a new battery I also put water prof neoprene seat covers on all seats. i have installed light bar brackets on the lower corners of the windshield and a 3" receiver hitch on the back I also have the remounting brackets for the mirrors so you can still have mirrors when the doors are off. some states require them. I'm sure I forgot some stuff so if there are any questions feel free to ask.
*THIS JEEP DOES NEED BRAKE WORK I don't know if it needs new drums on the back or if it needs new brake lines. the buyer is responsible for shipping because of the brake issue I do not recommend driving it. get a trailer. $1,000.00 paid within 24 hours at end of auction or in full would be preferred. cash or cashiers check excepted. |

NHTSA upgrading Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango headliner fire probe
Wed, 15 Jan 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation into headliner fires experienced by a small number of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango owners has been upgraded to an engineering analysis, the step before the initiation of a recall. In August last year the investigation began with 146,000 Grand Cherokees from 2012 after three complaints were received, but a report on Edmunds says it has been expanded to include 593,299 vehicles covering the 2011-2013 model years for the Jeep and the Dodge Durango, which uses the same headliner assembly, because of possibly 52 incidents of fire.
In some of those incidents drivers have reported a burning odor, smoke or open flames that were contained to the headliner or migrated to another area of the passenger compartment. The culprit has apparently been found: NHTSA blaming an electrical short in the sun visor vanity light wiring, which is routed under the headliner and held in place by three screws. Chrysler began its own probe into the issue when it was first reported and is still looking into the situation while, "fully supporting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation."
Watch this Jeep Willys return to its birthplace after 70 years
Sun, 23 Jun 2013Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.
The whole adventure was chronicled on a blog aptly named A Jeep Comes Home. Scroll down for a brief video from Chrysler and for some photos of the Toledo visit and be sure to read more at Argento's blog.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and a Final Four of automakers | Autoblog Podcast #723
Fri, Apr 1 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski. We start out with news on the Lotus Eletre and Ferrari Purosangue. These two high-end crossovers are followed by discussions about the new inline-six engines from Stellantis and an overabundance of Hummer EV orders. Next we try something we've never tried before: ranking automaker blue bloods. We took inspiration from the current NCAA tournament, which features Duke, North Carolina, Villanova and Kansas — very much traditional blue-blood basketball programs — to name our Final Four automakers. Let us know if you agree or disagree with our picks and what your definition of a blue blood car brand is. We wrap up with a discussion about the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk that Jeremy's been driving all week. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
