1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Sport 4.0 L 6 Cyl w/ Hardtop. Due to recent move I will no longer be utilizing the Jeep thus up for sale. My overall experience is that I have never had any issues with this Wrangler as it always starts and never lets me down. Great heat and cold AC. Black paint does have some scratches and nicks, with a rust spot coming thru on rear by tailgate. Very presentable at 10 foot, but up close does show some wear as seen in photos. I bought this vehicle for short commutes to work in winter months and have never had any mechanical issues. It is not a garage queen, but a reliable vehicle. Interior is clean, seat have no rips or tears. Carpet could be replaced or removed, but is still decent. I purchased the vehicle in Nov 2011 with 92,500 miles and currently has 97,500. Putting 5,000 miles on in 3 years. During my ownership I have spent approximately $ 3,422.64 in work into the vehicle. 23 Dec 2012 @ 95,832 miles Goodyear replaced brake lines front to rear and flushed the brake system. $ 610.00 28 Oct 2013 @ 96,357 miles Goodyear replaced All four Ball Joints-Upper and Lower Control Arms $769.80 / Two Front Sway Bar Links and bushings $301.39 / Installed Front Brake Pads and Rotors $ 232.85 / Installed Rear Brake Shoes & Drums w/ Wheel Cylinders $ 313.79 / Front Steering End Complete Tie Rods, Sleeves, Center Link, /front and Rear Shocks replaced. $ 645.55. 29 Oct 2013 Goodyear replaced Radiator w/ Coolant Flush $ 356. / Front and Rear Differential Pinion Seals, Rear Diff Pan gasket $ 208.85 w/ $ 169.05 discount. Supplier says Jeep Cherokee hack only affects FCA cars
Wed, Aug 5 2015Harman doesn't think that drivers need to worry about any further hacks of its products. The company supplies FCA's Uconnect infotainment system where a software vulnerability is responsible for a 1.4-million vehicle recall. "This experimental hack is unique to Chrysler," Harman CEO Dinesh Paliwal said to Automotive News. "This does not exist, to our assessment, in any other vehicle." The reason that the company wouldn't be involved is that automakers aren't simply plugging in the existing infotainment systems into new vehicles. According to Paliwal, Harman supplies the unit, but FCA and other automakers are able to make additional modifications for their vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also recently taken up the question of broader software vulnerabilities in Harman's products. On July 29, the agency began investigating the company to check for similarities between Uconnect and the infotainment systems supplied to other automakers. The Jeep hack became national news when two researchers were remotely able to take control of a Cherokee. The vulnerability in the cellular connection even gave control over the brakes. "Once people get in the car and get into the CAN bus, then you can start to mimic and mess up many, many things in the car," Paliwal said to Automotive News. Politicians immediately responded with legislation to create federal standards in hopes of protecting drivers better. NHTSA also opened an investigation to make sure the automaker's software update actually solved the problem. Related Video:

Read on below for the full breakdown and see what made the cut for September. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Genesis GV70 2022 Genesis GV70 at Mt St Helens View 37 Photos Quick take: Genesis' first shot at a compact luxury crossover is a strong one that moves the segment forward and makes for an excellent alternative to one of the many other established options. Score: 8 What it competes with: BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Volvo XC60, Lincoln Corsair, Infiniti QX50, Porsche Macan Pros: Gorgeous looks inside and out, forward-looking tech, good ride and handling balance Cons: Nothing budget about it, no true performance option From the editors Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — "Blending style and power, the GV70 shows Genesis is serious about delivering a strong execution in a critical segment. Props to Genesis for its risk-taking design, which has remade its lineup with confidence. The GV70 is just the latest in a series of wins for Genesis." It even keeps up the Jeep tradition of being great off-road while still carrying tons of passengers and gear.
