Up for sale is a highly customized all White Jeep Wrangler.  It has the 24S package with UConnect, Bluetooth, 3.73 Axle Ratio as well as many other factory options.  The bumpers, top, side bars and mirrors are all painted white kevlar.  With the 4" suspension lift, black wheels and all other options, this vehicle is definitely a head turner.  Be ready to get attention everywhere you go.  I have been driving and people stop and point.  It came out as one of the cleanest jeeps I have ever seen.  My friend owns the shop, been in business over 30 years, that builds the jeeps and has been customizing cars for me for that long, my family was in new car business for 40 years, but sold out.  He does all kinds of vehicles, for many athletes, but specializes in Jeeps.  He has jeeps shipped to his shop from all over the country from dealers as well as individuals and I am helping him sell a few himself for fun.  Buy with confidence knowing this customization has been built by a reputable shop, not another fly by night shop trying to get in the business.  References can be provided and he will stand behind all work. WRANGLERS HAVE PROBABLY THE BEST RESALE OF ANY VEHICLE ON MARKET.  The following is a list of the aftermarket adds:

  • ZONE OFFROAD 4" LIFT WITH NITRO SHOCK UPGRADE
  • ZONE OFFROAD STEEERING STABILIZER
  • 20X9 CUSTOM DESTROYER WHEELS (INCLUDING SPARE)
  • MASTERCRAFT MXT 35X1250R20 TIRES (INCLUDING SPARE)
  • SMITTY BUILT HEAVY DUTY SPARE TIRE CARRIER
  • DESTROYER 1X5 LED REVERSE LIGHTS
  • DESTROYER 4" ROUND LED DRIVING LIGHTS

  • ORACLE LED HEADLIGHTS
  • MBRP BLACK EXHAUST TIPS
  • PARAMOUNT BLACK BILLET GRILLE
  • KEVLAR SPRAY ROOF, FLARES, BUMPERS, MIRRORS, AND SIDE BARS
  • SMITTY BILT KEVLAR SIDE RAILS
  • CUSTOM DIAMOND STITCH LEATHER
  • WHITE INTERIOR TRIM PIECES
The pictures of this Jeep do it no justice.  I have been driving jeeps and been around them for a very long time and this is definitely one of the best looking and cleanest I have ever seen.  Please ask any questions that you may have.  I can also let you speak with the owner of the shop.  You will not regret buying this Jeep, lots of interest just from friends.

IF THIS IS NOT YOUR STYLE I CAN PRICE OUT ANY COLOR WITH ANY AMOUNT OF ADDS.  LOTS OF DIFFERENT PRICE POINTS TO BE AT.

2014 Jeep Cherokee: Long-term wrap-up [w/video]

Tue, Aug 11 2015

Sorry, Sweet Brown. Your place in Autoblog history as the most highly demanded long-term car has come to an end. We just finished a one-year test of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and after 27,000 miles of hard use, one thing is very clear: this is one of the best all-rounders we've ever tested. The Jeep Cherokee isn't perfect, and our long-term tester proved that. But no compact crossover is. Still, the Trailhawk oozed personality where other small CUVs seem bland, and the Jeep felt more like a trusty companion than just another test car. For road trips, the requests weren't, "Can I have a long-term car this weekend?" They were specific: "I'd like the Cherokee, please." No matter the season, the driver, or the situation, the Jeep was always a sure fit. Fiat Chrysler bet big with this one. It had a global platform, a new engine, and one heck of a funny face. The end result was a CUV that we'd gladly welcome back into our fleet any day. View 51 Photos Our car carried a sticker price of $38,059, but that's without goodies like HID headlamps, a sunroof, or even full leather seats. Lots To Like Admittedly, we picked the Trailhawk trim for cosmetic reasons (more on it's off-road capability in a second). To this day, many of us still think the Cherokee is a homely little thing, but its inherent weirdness doesn't stand out as much when you add the black accents and big, knobby tires of the Trailhawk model. The butched-up look really works here, and we wouldn't have wanted the Jeep any other way. Of course, opting for Trailhawk package meant getting one of Jeep's more expensive Cherokees. Our car carried a sticker price of $38,059, but that's without goodies like HID headlamps (which we could have used – the halogens were pretty weak), a sunroof, or even full leather seats. This car genuinely felt premium, though. Right off the bat, the Cherokee received compliments for its comfortable, supportive seats, not to mention the high quality of interior materials and the general fit and finish. Specifically, the interior packaging won us over early on. We appreciated things like the higher-end stereo, smart layout of the center console, and ample storage, including a bin under the front passenger seat cushion. (That said, we also found that this bin becomes a catch-all for wrappers, french fries, and anything else that might get dropped on the seat.) The Uconnect infotainment system was a joy to use, never giving us any finicky problems or usability issues.

Chrysler axes old V6s, goes all-Pentastar

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Old technology has a way of lingering on, particularly at Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills. So while the Pentastar V6 has replaced the older engine architecture in just about every application, it still soldiered on in some export markets. But the introduction of a new 3.0-liter Pentastar V6, produced in Michigan and meant only for the Chinese market, has put the final nail in the old engine's coffin.
Fitted into the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler just introduced to China at the Chengdu Motor Show, the downsized six uses the same architecture as the larger 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. But because of its 2,997cc capacity, it can be exported to China without the increased duty the 3.6-liter or even 3.2-liter Pentastar engines would incur. The 3.0-liter V6 develops 230 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 210 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm.
Admittedly, it's unlikely, but even though the engine was said to be created solely to undercut tax thresholds in China and Europe, the 3.0-liter Pentastar has recently surfaced in rumors of an application here: as the boosted heart of a potential Cherokee SRT with anywhere from 375 to 410 hp.
