97 Jeep Wrangler with a 4.0 Sport Motor, 6 cylinder 5 speed with 154,000 miles. It has a 6 inch rough country suspension lift with dual stabilizers , sitting on brand new 37 x 17 Traxus M/T Tires. The gears has been changed, both in the front and in the back to 456. The clutch was replaced not long ago so it is tight and right. They was done by a professional accessory dealer. I just replaced the factory radio in it and speakers to a Kentwood cd/ipod/pandora radio and changed all of the speakers in the dash and in the sound bar. It also has Cold A/C and heat. There is a set of Train horns (4 Horns) with a small air compressor and a small tank. You get lots of re actions with it! The Interior of the keep is in good condition all the way around. all the seats in the Jeep have the neoprene seat covers. The driver side seat cover has a small little rip on the top right side of the seat. Other than that, the seats and Interior is in excellent condition. The Exterior of the Jeep is in great condition. There is NO RUST on the Jeep at all. There are no dents or anything of that nature. It needs to be buffed and a good coat of wax put on. The soft top is in excellent condition, it is a frame top. Only 2 flaws to the exterior (not noticeable, nor an issue with me) 1. on the drive door there is a scratch on it and a white mark that could be buff out I believe. 2. on the wind shield frame there is 2 dime size dent and you can see in the picture where the windshield is cracked about an inch. Got hit by debris during a tornado. This Jeep is by far a good looking Jeep, I ALWAYS get compliments anywhere it goes. This jeep was adult owned and only done for show, it has never been off road. This is one dependable jeep, I would not think twice about driving it across the country at all, other than the gas! It gets around 15/16 mpg on the hwy, and 13/14 in city. By far, this is a one of a kind great jeep. I have many toys and I am trying to scale down some. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me via E-mail or by phone @ 251-331-6102. I can send more pictures with request. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will help assist as much as I can to help make easy.
**I also have the Jeep listed locally for sale; I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any sales transaction.

Jeep Renegade to show off new Mopar gear in Detroit
Sun, Jan 11 2015Jeep's adorable new Renegade is arriving in the US market soon (we're looking forward to driving it in a couple weeks), and to highlight that fact, the American off-road brand is trotting out a pair of Mopar-modified compact CUVs for the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Rather simply, Jeep has modified one Renegade to show off its prowess in the city, and another that plays up the crossover's off-road abilities. Despite their different purposes, both vehicles show off Mopar's parts catalog and Jeep's Authentic Accessories lineup for the new baby Jeep. The Urban Renegade borrows uses a Renegade Limited with Anvil paint as its base and draws from the Accessories catalog, adding a number of Omaha orange accents and satin black wheels. Mopar donated a bike-hauling trailer hitch to the rear of the Renegade, while its cabin features Katzkin leather-lined seats. Once again, Omaha orange accents brighten up the Limited's cabin. As for the off-road model, Mopar got a bit more involved, starting with the Renegade Trailhawk and adding satin black wheels with Colorado red trim and X-shaped graphics, borrowed from military jerry cans, to the Commando Green exterior. A number of prototype and one-off body mods were fitted to the Trailhawk, including a concept skid plate, rock rails and a new rear valence. Inside, Katzkin leather was applied to the Renegade's seats while the Omaha orange accents from the Urban Renegade have been replaced with Commando Green bits and bobs in the off-road model. Look for more on these new Renegade twins come Monday, when we hit the floor of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Until then, check out the official press release from Mopar. From Maseratis to rental cars | Autoblog Podcast #511
Fri, Apr 7 2017On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman are in a huddle room (again), because the studio was already taken (again). We talk about the all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger GT (again), as well as the Jeep Wrangler, Maserati Levante, Miata RF (again), and then David waxes poetic on mediocre rental cars (or similar). The episode wraps up with the traditional doling out of Spend My Money buying advice, with some input from an S2000 owner on advice discussed last time. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Auto Mergers and Acquisitions: Suicide or salvation?
Tue, Sep 8 2015We love the Moses figure. A savior riding in from stage right with the ideas, the smarts, and the scrappiness to put things right. Alan Mullaly. Carroll Shelby. Lee Iacocca. Andrew Carnegie. Steve Jobs. Elon Musk. Bart Simpson. Sergio Marchionne does not likely view himself with Moses-like optics, but the CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recently gave a remarkable, perhaps prophetic interview with Automotive News about his interest and the inevitability of merging with a potential automotive partner like General Motors. Marchionne has been overtly public about his notion that GM must merge with FCA. For a bit of context, GM sold 9.9 million vehicles in 2014, posting $2.8 billion in net income, while FCA sold 4.75 million units and earned $2.4 billion in net income, painting a very rosy FCA earnings-to-sales picture. But that's not the entire picture. Most people in the auto industry still remember the trainwreck that was the DaimlerChrysler "merger" written in what turned out to be sand in 1998. It proved to be a master class in how not to fuse two companies, two cultures, two continents, and two management teams. Oh, it worked for the two individuals at both helms pre-merger. They got silly rich. And the industry itself was in a misty romance at the time with mergers and acquisitions. BMW bought Rolls-Royce. Volkswagen Group bought Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini, putting all three brands into their rightful place in both products and positioning. No marriages there, so no false pretense. Finally, Nissan and Renault got married in 1999. A successful marriage requires several rare elements in this atmosphere of gas fumes and power lust. But a successful marriage requires several rare elements in this atmosphere of gas fumes and power lust, the principle part being honesty. Daimler and Chrysler lied to each other. The heads of each unit, the product planners, and finance all presented their then-current and long-range forecasts to each other with less-than-forthright accuracy. Daimler was the far greater equal and no one from the Chrysler side enjoyed that. The cultures were entirely different, too, and little was done to bridge that gap. Which brings me back to the present overtures by Marchionne to GM. "There are varying degrees of hugs," Marchionne stated in the Automotive News piece. "I can hug you nicely, I can hug you tightly, I can hug you like a bear, I can really hug you." Seriously?
