95% Beautifully Restored, Automatic Trasmission W/ Factory A/c on 2040-cars
Jackson, Georgia, United States
I have a very nice 1994 Jeep Wrangler w/ an AUTOMATIC Transmission and Factory A/C, Full Steel Hard Doors w/ roll up glass windows for sale. I will buy and restore one from time to time and this one will be the very last one that i will restore so i put a great deal more of time labor and money into it to bring it to the next level, if you dont know jeeps then you may want to bring out someone who does because they can confirm the high level of this build and the quality of the parts used.
I completly dissasembled the entire Jeep to nothing but the body/frame and rebuilt it, spending the most amount of my time and labor on the drive train, going through the engine, transmisson and everthing under the hood to ensure that this Jeep is very dependable, I have a folder full of all reciepts that will come with the Jeep. Below is a detailed list of everything that has been done during the restoration process. Everything is BRAND NEW unless otherwise noted, Brand New meaning just put on over the last 90 days and ONLY 50 test miles driven. So the new owner is truly getting a (for the most part) Brand New Jeep. Master Engine Rebuild Kit installed, the kit included full premium gaskets (rear main seal, timing chain cover seal & gasket, head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pan, termostat gasket, water pump gasket, intake & exhaust manifold gaskets). Pistons & piston rings, Main Bearing, Rod Bearings, Cam Bearings, 3 pc. Timing Chain & Spocket. Oil Pump, Hi-Performance Cam Shaft (w 20 min. break-in w/ correct zinc break in oil), Valve Stem Oil Seals, Freeze Plugs, Hydralic Lifters. New Water pump, Distributor ,cap & rotor, spark plug wires &spark plugs, Oil & oil filter, air filter. All New. New water tempeture sending unit installed. New fuel filter. Complete New Rough Country's 2.5" N2.O Susepension System, to include leaf springs and upgraded N2.O Shocks w/color boots. New Thrusher Muffler and exhust pipe, w/ the performance cam and thrusher muffler system it sounds very close to a V-8 .New Windshield w/ new rubber seal inside and out. All New New Defender Front Bumper w/ fog light mounts. New Rampage Black Soft Top w/ tinted windows, this IS NOT the cheap one, this IS the top of the line , thicker matarial and durable zippers Jeep Decals, marker lights, termostat, Black hood latches, engine mounts, fuel injector O-Rings All New. Radiator , Brake fluid, power steering fluid lines completely flushed of ALL old fluid and refilled w/ new fluid. New Complete rear Brake Drum system completely Re-Built w/ new brake shoes, new hardware, see photo. New Paint (summits performance Red). 4 coats on main body w/ 2 additional; coats (toatal of 6) on the hood. Transmission case & Transfer case fluids have all been flushed out and refilled w/ New fluids ( 85/90w Gear oil ) New transmission filter and gasket. Brand New over sized 32"x11.50 Off Road Tires, still has the fine/thin rubber tips on the tread...yes its that NEW. w/ new rear tire cover for the spare. Intake Manifold was cleaned of all carbon and painted w/ high temp. paint. Interior was comletely cleaned and reconditioned and a coating of black spray in bed - liner layed down. Then i installed a New Deluxe Carpet kit w/the cushion backing (very nice). Nice front/rear seat neoprene black seat covers, new door hardware(door handels, window crank handels) new rear view mirror. New Grant steering wheel, New brushed aluminun 4 wheel shift handle and custom brake/gas/clutch pedles. New JEEP Decals. New Custom Rampage 6" Pocket fender flares w/ hardware. They make the Jeep look very cool. All Gauges works great, excellent oil pressure, water temp., voltage gauge... all are perfect. New Cowl Rubber Seal (the seal just below the windshield that dry rots over the years) installed. Went through ENTIRE drive train and engine bay , replaced/repaired ANY and ALL issues that I could find to include dry/old vaccume lines , hoses, lines, wires ect., that needed replacing. I am sure i am forgetting a few things here and there, but the bottom line is this Jeep has been done to a very high level and nothing over looked. The Jeep Runs, Drives, Idles GREAT. Transmisson shifts smoothly in all gears. No Engine/Trans. issues at all , its is a very depandable Jeep, i will be happy to let you take it to any shop and have your mechanic go over it bumper to bumper. Odometer reads 196k miles, engine only has about 50 test miles on it. Keep in mind when most people say there engine has been "rebuilt" they simply replace very few inturnal engine parts, not EVERYTHING. Most times they will just clean up and reuse the parts that "look" good. That IS NOT what i have done here, i have ALL reciepts that show the work that has been done. The Bad......the only things I can think of would be.... A/C....it has factory A/C and all compnetes are there, but it will need to be charged and the a/c fan blower needs to be replaced to work. Radio not hooked up, its in place but you will need to get speakers and wire the radio up. Passenger side seat belt doesnt work. I am asking $12,000. I do have room to negotiate but NOT over the phone,Come out and see the Jeep in-person, you will not be disapointed and make you best offer, the pictuers really dont do it justice. The jeep is titled, insured and registed in my name. If you have any question or you want to see the jeep call me at 770-four six eight-0033, my name is Allen. |

Next-gen Jeep Wrangler to get 8-speed automatic and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel
Thu, Mar 5 2015Following up on previous reports, an anonymous source within FCA has confirmed to Autoblog that the next-generation Jeep Wrangler will come to market with both a 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6 and ZF's critically acclaimed eight-speed automatic transmission. While this pairing makes a lot of sense (we'll explain why in a minute), until now, we only had limited reports that either item would arrive in the next-generation Wrangler. This is the first time we've heard that the eight-speed automatic and the diesel would be paired together. That said, we shouldn't be surprised by this news. FCA currently sells the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 with the diesel/eight-speed gearbox combo, making its inclusion in the next-gen Wrangler far from an Apollo 11-caliber feat of engineering. Naturally, we reached out to Jeep for an official comment. Spokesperson Gabrielle Schulte gave us the expected response to this kind of inquiry, telling Autoblog that FCA does not comment on future product. Jeep has flirted with the idea of a diesel Wrangler for some time, with CEO Mike Manley telling Ward's Auto just over two years ago that a Wrangler diesel was "on the radar," although at that time, we weren't certain whether it'd be the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel showing up in the rough-and-tumble off-roader. As for the eight-speed, SEC filings back in November revealed that it'd be coming to the Wrangler in 2018. Our source could not confirm which model year the 8AT/diesel would arrive in. Related Video:
Are we about to see a real SUV revival?
Wed, Mar 23 2016Now that the marketplace has been oversaturated with cute-utes, crossovers, and CUV coupes, are we about to see a resurgence of real, honest-to-God SUVs? Ummm... maybe. The stars seem to be aligning in that direction, at least that's the sense I'm getting. We know an all-new Jeep Wrangler is only a few auto shows away; and that Jeep is about to introduce a new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk for 2017, in the same rugged spirit of the successful Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawks. Ford has hinted at a neo-Bronco, after showing the concept above in 2014 to wet the mouths of all those Duck Dynasty-types out there. And, and... wait for it... I recently learned that Subaru sent a questionnaire out to some Forester owners asking if they might be interested in an off-road package if it were offered. The items listed were pretty hardcore, serious stuff, such as: integrated tow/recovery hooks, additional ground clearance, more rugged wheels, skid plates, altimeter, front-view off-road camera, improved approach and departure angles, advanced differentials, Inclinometer, full-size spare tire, upgraded off-road suspension components, more aggressive tires, off-road driving mode (engine, transmission, throttle, and steering settings), more rugged styling, low-range gearing, and a more advanced traction management system. Folks that's not my wish list (well, actually it is), but those are words from Subaru, asking if that's what customers would like to see. Need proof? Go to the SubaruForester.org website. It's in a discussion there. So... no promises or guarantees here, and feel free to call me a rumormonger if you like; but the next few years could prove very interesting for those who actually do go off road. If this pans out, remember, you read it here first. Related Video: Image Credit: Ford Ford Jeep Subaru Crossover SUV Off-Road Vehicles open road
Jeep still working to improve Cherokee's 9-speed auto
Tue, Feb 3 2015Fiat Chrysler is hoping an upcoming software update will stem the tide of consumer complaints surrounding its nine-speed automatic transmission. Owners of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee have reported a number of problems on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's SaferCar.gov website, since the new model and its troubled gearbox arrived way back in October 2013. The software update is "intended to keep the vehicle performing as intended, and to prevent durability issues from occurring in the future," an FCA spokesperson told Automotive News, and will be available to owners of both the 2014 to 2015 Jeep Cherokee and the 2015 Chrysler 200, which also uses the 9AT. While FCA will be notifying consumers of the update, owners can also request the software reflash if they happen into their dealer before then. Despite the widely documented problems with the transmission, the only complaints on NHTSA's website relate to the 2014 Cherokee – neither the 2015 Jeep nor the 200 have received any complaints. That bodes well as FCA prepares to begin deliveries of the 2015 Jeep Renegade and launch the Fiat 500X, both of which pair the 9AT with the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder. "We have had to do an inordinate amount of intervention on that transmission, surely beyond what any of us had forecast," FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne told Automotive News. "There are things that we have done – that we continue to do. Our proactive customer care intervention has actually increased in intensity on these vehicles in 2014, especially in the second half." What's fascinating about the 9AT's problems are that they haven't been the fault of manufacturer ZF, but have related to software that wasn't "mature" and had "teething problems," Marchionne has said previously, AN reports. With the lack of criticism for the 9AT in 2015 models and this pending software update, though, here's hoping that FCA has finally figured out its fuel-sipping gearbox. Related Video:
